And that is the reason for the major shake up last year. The politics and negativity had reached a critical mass and we were loosing long time members over it. And just for the record every person I have spoke to that left during that time left because of all the negativity and squabbling between members here. I do not want to see it but if it gets as bad as it was 2-3 years ago I will not be here. Seriously, people couldn't even be nice to each other in a thread by a moderator asking people to be nice to each other. I was just asking people to be a little nicer, a little more patient and respectful when dealing with other members here. It was just a reminder that we all have common ground and that we should not try so hard to find our differences. And honestly I have a lot of other things I need to concentrate on right now so I won't be around much anymore. If there is anyone on the board I still owe or promised something to please PM me as I cannot remember everything I have promised as of late. I do have your package together Reed, it will go out today or tomorrow and I am sorry for the delay but as I said I have a lot of things I need to concentrate on.

7450 here

And just for the record. I DO NOT BAN ANYONE WITHOUT FIRST RUNNING IT BY OTHER STAFF MEMBERS. I banned one person in the past and had it reversed so from that point forward any time I do ANYTHING administratively I go through MacGyver or TGO David. I won't even send a warning PM without adding a staff member to the conversation.

I am not going on some sort of power tripping mission trying to ban everyone. And when I posted this I was trying to at least get members to think before they post but I see that was all in vane. I was just trying to get people to at least act nice to each other but I see that too was an exercise in futility. With EssOne he said TGO was a haven for those who bash LE. He then said he was leaving the site because he was tired of LE being bashed. And when members tell us they are leaving, especially if they are leaving unhappy, we disable their accounts. The reason is people have been known to say they are leaving, leave for a while and then come back later after they have stewed for a while and do something stupid. And just for the record I do NOT believe EssOne would do that but if do it for one person we try to do it for all. I like EssOne, we have had plenty of conversations and I liked the guy but when a member was upset enough to say they are leaving then we will disable their account to prevent them from coming back and posting something inappropriate. Again, he didn't do anything that I would consider ban worthy in anything he did publically but he left us no choice but to disable his account when he said he was leaving.

Thank you for the kind words.

Click on your name at the top right. The drop down menu will have "manage ignore prefs". That is where you do it.

I could not imagine what the "target" would look like.

I run grease on a lot of things and I might pick up a tub to compare. -

At $10 a gallon I am sure I can afford enough. -
Apparently Fireclean is nothing more than Crisco brand vegetable oil that costs like $10 a gallon. The testers used infrared spectroscopy to compare FireClean to various vegetable oils and they found a match. I knew it was BS when they claimed that when using Fireclean your gun will be smokier because the formulation used caused the crud to remain as smoke and not get deposited in the gun. I am searching but apparently Fireclean was issued a patent for the use of vegetable oil as a firearm lubricant as well. If any of this is true a lot of shooters are going to view this company in a whole different light. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/09/13/yes-its-true-fireclean-is-crisco/ And another article regarding the actual testing. http://www.vuurwapenblog.com/general-opinion/lies-errors-and-omissions/ir-spectra-fireclean-crisco/ In my 2013 article about gun oils, I mentioned that FireClean wasn’t advertised as protecting against corrosion. Given the results of this test, I suppose that makes sense. When I fired this AR which had been sitting for years with FireClean on the internals, it hadn’t been exposed to UV, although it certainly saw some oxygen. Since that test, several friends told me privately that their 1911s did not function properly after sitting for six months with FireClean on the internals. It would seem that these results are highly dependent on the weapon. Given that people in the military are often exposed to both UV and oxygen (such as when they go outdoors) and also need corrosion protection for their firearms, I would not recommend FireClean be used by members of the military. I offered FireClean a chance to respond to the findings of this test, and, among other things, they asked to review the draft of this article for a few days before it was published. That is not how this blog works. I assume they will be publishing a response through other channels. BTW, I have a product called Dolomite Clean. It is identical to Fireclean at 1/2 the cost. And I just received the first bulk shipment.

I suspect it would look something like this with a full power load. Not making it live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA2S4mhfdQQ That is the DildAR and is some of the funniest stuff I have seen in a long time.

Here is EXACTLY what is going to start happening here and it will be almost immediately after they hit our shores. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV315xqbRK8 DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE MEDIA IS SHOWING, IT IS ALL LIES WITH REGARD TO ALL OF THIS. What needs to happen is those coming here need to be vetted and no one should be admitted who is a male that is old enough to resist. And finally, the first sign that they are not overjoyed to be here send them back, no hearings, no appeals or court cases to determine legality. We are about to loose this country like all of Europe have lost their countries to these Muslims. Most of these people are irrational in their actions and views, almost like they have some sort of mental defect. I know that some do because of the lack of nutrients in the stuff they eat or lack of food as they are growing up. We should all be calling our representatives demanding that all of these "refugees" at least be detained until they can be vetted. Personally I do not believe we should let anyone into the country that has ALREADY sworn to destroy this country. Seems like a pretty basic concept to protect yourself from your enemies, listen to what they are saying.

I had a neighbor who had some work done prior to putting his house on the market. Some of them came back a few weeks later after the owner moved out and cleaned him out.

I was going to ask what caliber then I realized it is a gas gun. Not sure if you have someone who has one but that looks very close to a EAA Vindicator. If they are similar there are some holster makers that could easily do a holster for a Vindicator. The only obstacle is shipping a holster to you. We have laws that govern what we can ship to other countries. It is ITAR, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and you must have approval to ship some gun related items to other countries. I do not think a holster, providing it is under $100, falls under the ITAR laws but verify before ordering a holster.

The same reason we don't want them here. Difference is they KNOW what kind of neighbors they have.

Full auto BCG issues
Dolomite_supafly replied to Wingshooter's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
It sounds like you gun is perfectly gassed with the other BCG. I would toss the other carrier back in. -
He can make his own. People use bullet molds and hot glue guns to make practice bullets. I wonder what would happen if you crimped a gas check on the bottom and put it over a full power load?

I will see if I can get a video of my 7.5" AK with and without the 4 piece.

I have a 1/2-28 adapter for the 4 piece if you want to try it.

There is no need to run a license plate on a trailer so long as it stays within our borders and is not used commercially.

The Germans were actually hit pretty hard by the Muslim incursion over the last decade.

Any WASR will be better than most IOR made guns. I have inspected several IOR guns and one thing consistent among them all is loose rivets. They do not set the rivets correctly so that is the reason why the biggest single complaint is the trunnions loosening rather quickly with use

We had our first "cold" snap and it has already started. As I am sure everyone has seen this, the winter months tend to shorten men's fuses when we cannot get out as much. And when our fuses get shorter our responses get longer and sometimes we say things with the intent of hurting our fellow members. Remember, we are a large family but a family none the less and that we all came here because of common ground. Every single one of us has something in common with everyone else here so lets try to find a little more common ground rather than try to figure out our differences. And in doing so lets try to be a little more tolerant of our fellow members. Right now we, as Americans and gun owners, are in some very stressful times so now is the time to support one another if for nothing else than to help ourselves make it through the times we are in. We MUST come together for the good of us all and that is just not possible when we are bickering among ourselves. How can we all stand united, as Americans and gun owners, when we are trying to find the differences? So I ask for anyone involved in a heated discussion to step away from your computer for a few minutes and then reread your post before hitting submit. It might save the edit to fix that misspelled word you missed the first time as well as hopefully preventing someone from posting something they might regret. Thanks
