  1. I just read that they have quit using the copper washed bullets and went to some sort of other coating that is silver. Specifically the 100 round boxes. I was told the change was rather recent.   If they are switching away from copper I would like to find out what they are going to.   Or another answer offered is some of the current production never got copper coated at all, leaving bare steel.   Thanks
  2. All you have to do is mouse over your name. You will see a url pop up in the lower part of the screen. It will have your name at the end and right before that is your pecking order number.
  3. This setup will work for those depths as well.
  4. Actually it is 2910.
  5. Any gun related, conservative related or any other bumper stickers? They are the only clue that they would have to pick you over someone else. I would also be concerned if they took anything with your address. They might come back after finding the gun. Hate to hear it. Hope it comes back and in the condition it left in.
  6. Don't think that is going to pull water from a well.
  7. I am sure you are aware but they have a treatment that reverses type 1 now. Not sure of the particulars but it involves transplanting islet cells.
  8. I wonder if you can build a hydraulic ram pump to get water to your house?
  9. Yep, that is one of the stupidest rules we have. We that and the fact parts kits cannot be imported with original barrels. The only silver lining is they do not seem to be enforcing it for individual but even so I would not take a chance. With AKs there are plenty of US made parts but with some others it is impossible to follow the law.
  10. I do not have any kids in the house but do I need to worry about my big, stinky bulldog? I did lock all my computers just in case. I think Gus has taken a liking to him or at least his left leg. And from the looks of it Jared is not exactly protesting either. Btw, what does Jared eat? I have tried feeding him but he hasn't ate since he showed up here. I may try picking up a sandwich or two from Subway as I think that is what he eats in his natural environment. And not sure if you know it not but Jared really likes to chase a laser around the room too.
  11. What happens when your number is "outside the reference range"? I do have a question though. Who the hell is this guy, in a white lab coat, standing in the corner of my bedroom holding one of those handheld tally counters. He seems awfully interested in my courting and mating habits. I do find it strange that he is wearing a TGO hat. I have tried talking to him but he just hides behind the curtain when he thinks I have seen him.
  12. People are awful. That has to be one of the worst things I have seen in a long time. Those responsible should be beat so badly that they will never be the same, both physically and mentally.
  13. They are a lot lighter than the stamped steel. The polymer magazines are also a lot less susceptible to corrosion. With that being sods the only polymer magazines I wold trust with my life are the Bakelite ones with steel reinforcement inserts.
  14. My wife was diagnosed in February. Since then she has lost 50 pounds and her A1C has dropped from 12.6 to 6.6. The first 3-6 months are going to determine how quickly things can get turned around. You will ALWAYS be diabetic but the best case scenario is to be free of any medications.   If you want I can talk to you for hours about what I learned from all of this. Just PM me saying you want it and I will give it to you.   It can be very overwhelming at first but trust me when I say if I can figure it out anyone can figure it out. Do not get frustrated and give up because it is worth it, I promise you it is. My wife is now the person I once knew and married but before we knew she was diabetic she was not doing well.   Again, if you have questions or need help please feel free to ask.
  15. Het shotgunshooter, what kind of gun are you looking for a MI rail for? Reason I ask is I have one you can borrow to see if you like it. If it fits what you have you can give it a try to see if you like it. I just need to have it back when you are done.
  16. Not sure if it is possible but if you want your AR to be 100% reliable in a SHTF I would see if an AK47 will fit inside the grip. That would be the one the to make my "fighting" AR more reliable. In all seriousness I would put a extractor spring, rubber o-ring, cam pin and disconnector in the grip. Those would fix 90% of the issues a currently reliable gun gun might have. And if you have room toss a spare bolt in there.
  17. Yeah it seems like it is hovering around 120 days for electronic submissions. I recently seen where individual submissions are getting shorter and shorter. I am, hopefully, within a month of being approved on my most recent submission. What would be nice is if all gun owners could come together to get all the NFA laws repealed. The BATFE is not going anywhere so we should not waste a breath even mentioning that. I believe if ALL gun owners made the same calls we did to protect our AWs, magazines and M855 we could easily have the NFA laws seriously looked at. And if nothing else maybe a compromise that would unregulate silencers and the short barrel weapons. There is no way any of it should be regulated.
  18. I actually have not had any more problems out of Tapco than any other polymer magazine. ProMag, on the other hand, has had a 100% failure rate for me. I won't even buy ProMag magazines for $1 because it is wasted money in my eyes. I have had the lips swell enough that the magazines would randomly, and spontaneously, empty themselves. The other issue is if the magazines EVER land on anything hard they crack or break a lot easier than I thought they should. They would work great as a range only magazine if you treated them gingerly, didn't pre load them and did not drop them. Give it a year or two and they will likely be worth 40-50 times what you paid, that is the ONLY value in ProMag magazines.
  19. Perfect. Exactly what those items are.
  20. Install a bullet guide in a Saiga and use any AK magazines.
  21. When I read this I envisioned something like the World War Z movie with hordes of people trying to outrun the next.
  22. So you were having issues with the Federal loads in two 870s and a double? Federal is the only load that reliably cycled my semi auto 12. Remington caused random issues and Winchester rarely would make it through a magazine with a failure.
  23. Grab the cheap Walmart Federal. I picked some up a few months ago for under $30 a 100 round case out the door.   Winchester bulk pack can have issues with some semi auto guns.
  24.   I am trying to find it but I recently found a stock similar to this for under $250, making it a lot more attractive.
