  1.     I don't know, I like bacon so it might be a win/win for the wife and I both.
  2. They won't do both. I filed two items several months apart. I knew the first one was coming up soon so I emailed them and basically begged them to approve both because it was my birthday, because I was a vet, because I am disabled and any other excuse I could. When that did not work I replied saying I was doing it for THEM so they could clear out some of the back log by approving both of mine at the same time. That worked so well that I am still waiting. There is not rhyme or reason to how they do things. Seems like they would at least do a query to see if any other items are pending when one is being approved. Most people do multiples, at least initially, so they could clear a lot more by checking.   One thing that really dumbfounds me is in this modern age they are still doing things manually. Seems to me there could be some sort of automated system in place to approve items instantly, especially if you are a frequent flyer.   I have never heard that the background for an NFA item is anything more than a NICS check, just like when you buy a regular firearm. Imagine the revenue that could be generated if customers could walk in, buy and walk out with an NFA item.
  3. If she does not harm me, our son or his family then yes I would. I have spent more time with my wife than without so I would be right by her side. She has been with me at my worst so the least I can do is return the favor. And yes a single bounced check can put you in jail. Like I said people go to jail all the time for forgetting to pay a ticket. Warrant gets issued and at that point nothing you can say or do will keep you from going to jail. A bounced check is no different. Not saying it is ok to break the law or anything like that. Just saying going to jail is no reason to tear a family apart. Wonder what would be worse, letting the child visit or divorcing the mother?
  4. Yeah it does get a bit crazy in chat.
  5. Depends on the gun. Different guns require different types of lube and by different types I mean oil or grease. I prefer to use grease on everything I can for several reasons. First it stays where you put it so you do not have a round oil spot in your safe from oil that runs down the gun. Second dirt and crud will sit on top of grease rather than get mixed in with it like oil. But there are some down sides to using grease. First grease does not help keep the crude suspended like oil can so it can allow a gun to malfunction sooner compared to oil when the gun is getting really dirty. But even so I use grease on everything then have a small can of WD-40 to keep the crude moving. This helps remedy a malfunction as well as prevent one if the gun is starting to become sluggish.   For when I MUST use oil I use a 50/50 mix of 30 weight synthetic and automatic transmission fluid. The transmission fluid has a lot of detergents in it so it helps keep the crude from thickening and causing malfunctions. And if I want a lube that really cuts the crude I will add 10% of injector cleaner into the 50/50 mix. I ran a 50/50/10 mix in a silenced 22 rifle and it would go thousands of rounds between cleanings as long as I used the mixture. If I did not the gun would start to malfunction at ~500 rounds so I know it does work well but I still prefer grease over oil for 99% of my guns.
  6. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/91200-amazing-new-holster-design/
  7. Doesn't require two hands to draw. The same hand can pull up and then draw the firearm. When you release it is not like the gun is going to just fall back down into your pants as soon as you let go. Also realize this is not supposed to be as easy as a traditional holster. What it is designed to do is make it nearly impossible for anyone else to figure out you are carrying. No way this is any harder than a IWB with a shirt tucked in and over the firearm like how a lot of people carry.   Comparing this to traditional holsters is not fair. It is like me saying that this is better at being concealed than a triple retention holster worn by cops. They both have different criteria for how they are used.   I might go ahead and make one. Have to check my leather supplies.
  8. Hope you didn't buy it from this guy. http://stuppid.com/meth-energy-drinks/
  9. They won't be in business long now. Guarantee the phones are ringing off the hook because of this guys marketing ploy. And while I agree he can choose who to sell to and who not to sell to he is also limiting himself to only having customers that are Christian. And before you say he did not say that in actual practice I bet a lot of non Christians are going to walk right on by a place that is discriminating against them while favoring another group. But I bet that shop owner would raise holy hell if he walked into a place that would refuse to give discounts to Christians but he is doing the exact same thing. In the end it is his choice and his business but this is not going to end well for him. I am really surprised he is still in business after this made its rounds.
  10. If it shoots good and your primers are not doing anything funky I would be happy. Most times max, or near max, loads are not the most accurate loads.
  11. How much is blaster 6.8? I was at academy sports and they had the 125OTM for the 300 for $11.99/20. And you can find decent hunting ammunition for less than $1 per round. But yeah, the 300 is a 150 yard max round for deer when shooting supersonic. Inside of 100 I would probably rather have my 245 grain cast at max velocity. Velocity would be around 1,500 I would guess. And out of my 10 twist gun they will immediately tumble creating a would channel that is wider than any bullet hopes to expand.
  12. I will ALWAYS buy from RCBS first unless they don't have what I need. They have always taken care of me. I haven't recommended anything else in years.
  13. These were it. https://www.bestbyte.net/1-lb-047x-255-in-stainless-pellet-pins-tumbling-media.html   I am pretty sure they were on sale about four months ago for the $3.50. I did not realize how expensive they are. Had I known I would have jumped on it for $3.50 a pound.   The expensive part is the tumbler itself but you can use a treadmill to tumble your brass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwZOsU2oLh0 Here is an even cheaper version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNhLF2_J8pI
  14. Is there a model number on the Colt? I might have found another project. Imagine it with a 22 silencer.
  15. Not sure if it my eyes or the small screen of my iPhone but the Colt looks like it has a hammer. If it does please let me know the model. It would be a cool little pistol.
  16. Every morning I wake up worried to death that the headlines will read "Russia declares war on the US". We are so close to getting into WWIII that it seems inevitable. And no matter who starts it or who wins we will all suffer. I just hope that anyone involved has enough restraint not to launch nukes.
  17. I have not. I have a MI rail you are more than welcome to try before you buy.
  18. I will try to find it again but I found media for like $3.50 a pound. For a cheap tumbler use a tread mill with some PVC tubes with lids. Plenty of how to videos or webpages on how to do it.
  19. You can swage 9mm cases that have the Glock smiley. Get one of the Lee .401" cast bullet sizing dies. It will swage the smiley out the brass and should get the case to where it will chamber.
  20. I use a 45 degree chamfering tool that I bought from the hardware store for like $3 to remove crimps. It bells it a little as well making priming a little easier. It does not hurt anything either.     Make sure you are cleaning any brass that has hit the ground, even indoor ranges. All it takes is one piece of sand to put a burr inside the die.
  21. I am back home and probably will not be inside the city for another 15 years. Locking the thread.
  22. Check all the screws because some base kits for other brands require screws of different lengths. If they are the same length you can file a few down for the front base.
  23.   Because you do not make those governments millions with your gun(s). Everything is about the money and making those in our government richer. How our representatives vote is based on how much richer they can become. Not hard either when you know in advance what it about to be passed into law. Not to mention almost every piece of legislation benefits someone monetarily in government or those that donated to those in government.
  24. LOL, I have been saying OBL was dead long before BHO stood at the podium and announced we got him. Like I have said before more than one person at more than one location and at more than one time told me it was believed OBL died of typhoid in 2005-2006 in the Tora Bora region. If that is true I am not sure why there would be a need to kill a bunch of SEALs to cover it up if OBL was not killed by them. If our administration wanted to they could have just said a team of SEALs killed OBL and left it at that.   BTW, where are you getting the information that all the SEALs on the OBL raid were killed?   I do not believe our government would kill a bunch of SEALs to cover the OBL raid up. I do not believe that OBL was killed in a raid or even by gunfire and when BHO announced it, and we did not have a body, my stomach turned. The reason is if the reports that he died of typhoid in 2005-2006 were wrong OBL could still be alive. And imagine the support OBL would get after BHO told the world we got him then OBL showed up at Mecca and proclaimed he has risen after being killed by the great infidel. I can guarantee if that did or does happen all the Muslim in the world will unite under him.   What I find troubling about the whole OBL thing is there is not a single piece of evidence to come out proving OBL was killed or is dead. Something else, there was a question as to the identity of the person that was killed. The reports were they did not have a tape measure to identify him. Seems to me that he would be easily identified by anyone who is on the raid but they needed a tape measure to identify the body.   No one will ever convince me that not a single person took at least one photo of him between the time we got him and lost him. And that brings up another question, why the hell would we bury at sea the most wanted man in the country and likely the world? We are not the only country looking for him so when we said we dropped him in the sea I am sure a lot of allies were at least thinking WTF did we do that for.
