  1. Will do, do you have any Wolf primers you can bring? I am needing 1K of Small Rifle Magnum and Large Pistol. Thanks Dolomite
  2. I'll try to dig it up when I get home but there was a guy who did a very detailed study to confirm or deny this. It turned out to be a myth after microscopic examination of the powder after days and I believe weeks in a tumbler. And as far as leaving the surface uncoated, where does the coating go? It would seem any coating that rubbed off would just reattache to the powder after all the coating is nothing more than graphite to make it easier to work with. Dolomite
  3. I will buy any small primer 45 acp brass people have. Most people leave them but I use them and actually use the small primered stuff more than my large primer brass. Dolomite
  4. Want to find him easily? Have her go to court and file for a child support order. My sister was awarded and was receiving child support even before her soon to be ex moved out of the house or the divorce was even final. It looks like he finally moved out this week and he has been paying shild support for the last two months. They can collect using his SSN and garnish any wages he is making providing the children are his and not from a previous relationship. Almost any legal action can have the court's fees waived because of financial hardship. When I worked around inmates I watched them do it all the time and they were allowed to file with the courts for free because they had no money or income. Dolomite
  5. It is generally the leadfree ammo that has the small primer. Speer also makes a small primer 45 ACP round. The Federal rounds are crimped while the Speer are not. I use and like small primer brass because it allows me to minimize my inventory of primers. I use small rifle primers in the small primer 45 acp's without issue. Dolomite
  6. Back when I needed to keep my skills up for work I would shoot a few hours 3-5 days a week. Normally AR with transitions to my carry pistol. I would also do a lot of shoot and move type practice. Now I shoot at least 5 days a week but no where near as long. I try to shoot a mag a day whether it be from an AR or my carry pistol. I no longer do the run and gun type stuff I did before because of injuries. I also practice drawing my carry gun almost daily. I will get dressed then practice drawing with what I am wearing. In the summer it is easy but in the winter it can be a bit trickier with the extra layers. As far as length that depends, my wife sometimes gets annoyed with the dry firing so it may be a short session or a longer session. I think a little each and every day will do more than a marathon session where you are not going to be as alert after the first hour. And even if it is nothing more than dryfiring it is still going to help you. Dolomite
  7. Here are a few that let you search current online prices: AmmoEngine: .45 ACP, Instock For Sale Premium & Discount Ammunition, Ammo Deals gun-deals.com - User-Submitted Gun & Ammunition Deals To really enjoy shooting 45 ACP you probably need to get into reloading. Before I started reloading I would cringe at the thought of shooting my 45's. I can reload for less than .15 each. Even if you aren't reloading keep all you brass because eventually you will. I had been keeping brass for years before I started reloading and when I did start I had well over 1,000 peices of 45 ACP and probably 2,000 .223. Dolomite
  8. I had most of the machine work done at Predator Custom. I used a barrel blank from Numrich's and had the standard bolt opened up for the .445" bolt face. I used a JP adjustable gas block. It wore a 24" barrel as well. It shot well for me and seems like it is the same for him. Dolomite
  9. Glad to hear it is shooting as well for you as it did for me. I got some of the best groups using 180 Sierra SP's (stock number 2150). I don't remember the charge weight I was using for it. I imagine the extra barrel length lets you squeeze some extra velocity out of it as well. I didn't have my chronograph until after I sold it to you. I know you like the trigger a well, if you have any other AR's you need done let me know and I bring my stuff to do them to a show. Dolomite
  10. It is not a game, it is film made by this small time film producer. YouTube - freddiew's Channel He is the same guy who made the 50 caliber William Tell video that was posted a week or two ago. Look at some of his other vidoes, they are all pretty funny. He uses Adobe After Effects to add everything else in. Dolomite
  11. It goes both ways. Do not get caught trying to remove or hide what might be considered joint property. Just because you live at the residence doesn't make it ok for you to remove items either. The worst thing for the court to think you are a turd by doing the same thing you blocked her from doing. Now it is unlikely she can prove what was and what was not there but if she can you would be viewed very differently in the court's eyes. If there is a question over ownership the courts may force the sale of the items then divide the proceeds between the parties. Might be more financially sound to let her have a few consolation items to keep than having to replace the items that were sold. After all letting her keep a $500 television might be better than trying to replace the $2000 television that sold for $1000. From your last thread it sounds like you are doing everything you should be. You also need to concentrate on proving she is the one at fault and not you. Be prepared for her to say you were abusive and that is why she left. Also, never have a meeting with her without some sort of witness from this point forward, preferably with the attorney present. If she tries to call you refer her to your attorney. And never loose your composure no matter what is said or done because everything is being recorded or at least assume it is. Dolomite
  12. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think we are going to build one instead of buying complete. Dolomite
  13. Oklahoma City Public Schools - Region Three - Roosevelt Middle School The arrest report 3233 SW 44 Street Oklahoma City, OK 73119 (405) 685-7795 Here is the principal's email: mailto:llhill@okcps.org I will be emailing as well as calling to voice my concerns over this. Zero Tolerance policies allow administrators and teachers to be mindless lemmings without recourse. Every violation should be viewed on the merits of that case rather than throw up the Zero Tolerance flag and potentially ruin a childs life. Dolomite
  14. Yes but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in most cases. The problem is almost all politicians, all parties, either don't care about us or loose sight once in office. Bush, as well as most other Republicans, are just the lesser of the two evils for most Republican voters. Nancy Pelosi's office received 90,000+ phone calls in the days precending the first TARP. She got up and acknowledged it and in the next breath said that we the citizens did not know what was best. Even if we didn't know what is best it is not our representative's job to make those decisions, it is their job to follow our decisions. Nowadays it doesn't seem to be money as much as it is power. Why would people spend MILLIONS to get a job that pays a few hundred thousand. I know they keep their salaries for life but even at $200K a year it would take a very long time to make up the money they spent. This just tells me there has to be unseen benefits like deals that are probably a little gray. Richard Blumenthal (D) spent $8 million dollars to win his Conneticut senate seat that pays $174,000. But the Republican candidate, Linda McMahon, spent right at $50 million. All this for a job that pays $174,000 a year. This makes you wonder what type of deals are being brokered without our knowledge. It just doesn't make financial sense to spend that kind of money to never break even and these are the same people reponsible for how our government spends OUR money. Most Expensive Races I think the best way to fix the corrupt and broken system is to do two things. First set term limits on all representatives, 4 years max. Second take away their lifetime benefits. It should be like every job we have ever had, once you leave you get nothing other than what you have already worked for. This way those who are in office will someday have to return to their regular job and as such will do what is best for the populace because the former representatives will be returning to the civillian marketplace to look for work. 15. As far as financing Germany during WWII the majority of the steel they used was funded by an American company. United Steel had supplied 50.8 percent of the pig iron, 41.4% of Nazi Germany's universal plate steel 36% of Nazi Germany's heavy plate steel, 38.5% of Nazi Germany's galvanized sheet, 45.5% of Nazi Germany's pipes and tubes and 22.1% of Nazi Germany's wire. Prescott Bush was a major supplier of all the metal products needed by Hitler's war machine, and one of the largest munitions makers in Nazi Germany was also funded by Prescott Bush, the father and grandfather of two American Presidents. A few good reads about the Bush family: How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power The Illuminati, Skull and Bones, Nazi party, Vatican, Jesuits, Black Pope, Bush family, 9/11. Not being a Bush hater with this, just stating facts. Money and greed make people do strange things. I never thought my own father would lie, cheat and steal in order to make a few bucks at my loss but he did. Hell I would have given him the money had he felt he needed it bad enough to do what he did. The worst part was the fact he lied to my son, when I wasn't home, in order to pull it off. After the fact my son felt really, really bad. Other than my sister my whole family have some serious issues. Dolomite
  16. The best aftermarket high capacity mags for a 10/22 are the Tactical Innovations mags. They can be had in all polymer, polymer with steel feed lips and an all aluminum version. They are adjustable so you can tweak them for your individual gun. Black Dog makes a decent mag from what I hear but I have not tried them. As far as other magazines most are hit and miss. It has more to do with the gun than the mags because I have seen guns that work great with all kinds of mags while others will only work with factory mags. The polymer Tactical Innovations are just as cheap as other mags so I would buy them before trying any others. Dolomite
  17. Where did you buy your powder? The reason I ask is there have been problems in the past of people grabbing cans of powder off the shelf and then mixing them. It was last year a guy was given 25 pounds of various powders from Walmart because of this. They caught some kids on video doing it so to be safe they pulled all the powder from the shelf. In the end he piled them up and had a large but short lived bonfire. From my experience it sounds like a powder problem. Either not enough, wrong type or bad powder. The primer will push a bullet part of the way down the bore. A slow burning rifle powder will do exactly what you describe as well, I know because I intentionally did it while doing some testing as part of some subsonic load development. I said it in your previous thread as well but a .355" bullet for a 9mm will sometimes not make it out of a 38 barrel. I have had this happen several times early in my loading. I guess the gases pass by the bullet without pushing it. You cannot use the same bullet for 38/357 as you do for 9mm. If you have a single stage I would use that and weigh each individual charge. After that seat the bullet, making sure to complete each round before moving on to the next. You should be very, very concerned about this problem. Had the problem been on the other end of the spectrum, too much powder, you probably would be having a hard time typing right now. Dolomite
  18. Several commander bushings are available at Brownells. Do a search for "commander bushing". They are about the same price as a standard bushing. Dolomite
  19. What are you wanting done? I could help you out if it is just fitting parts. I have built several 1911's over the years. If not I whole hearted recommend Predator. Bob is the 1911 guru and can do anything from mild to wild. Dolomite
  20. My gang friend just got back with me. It doesn't look like anything he has seen in his 30+ years doing it. He said it was probably a tagger just putting his mark somewhere. Dolomite
  21. There are more than a few people who have thousads of rounds of Wolf through their guns without cleaning them. I don't care what kind of ammo it is if your AR can't make it 200 rounds something is seriously wrong. If it cycles on the first round then it should be good for a lot more than 200. There are plenty of examples of people getting thousands or rounds through their guns without taking the gun apart to even wipe anything down. I have personally done it but not the numbers some others are reporting. Here is just one, not me but an example from another site. http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=454616&page=1 You have to be a member to view the whole thread. Dolomite
  22. I have a source for food grade buckets with o-ringed lids. I already have about 10 but plan on getting at least 10 more. Going to fill them with dry food supplies to about 1/4 the way up then drop a handfull of dry ice in and finish filling the rest of the way. Put the lids on loosely then seal them 24 hours later after the dry ice disappears. The CO2 kills the bugs and displaces the oxygen, because it is heavier, to prevent the oxidation of the food. After that they are being put in a freezer for long term storage. I just started to make a sand filter. I am using a 5 gallon bucket for trial and error then after I get the mechanics of it worked out I am going large scale. Sand filters work great and after 2-3 weeks can be drank from directly without boiling or disinfecting the water. I am going to be picking up a generator soon as well. I have to work it out but I suspect I can run the generator on hydrogen. I will generate my own hydrogen using a HHO generator and water. I have generated hydrogen before during some rust removal experiments a number of years ago. It was easy to generate but the conductor plates I was using went away kind of quick. 316L seems to be the longest lasting. It is easy to make hydorgen and as long as I can get the plates to last I will have a endless supply of hydrogen as well as energy. Dolomite
  23. I'll pass this on to my gang investigator friend. He worked in California and now works here. He has a very extensive colleciton of gang related stuff. Dolomite
  24. I can say that one thing to pay close attention to is the barrel bushing. Mine started showing cracks and another member here had his break. I ran mine with a lot of grease for a buffer. I have since replaced it with a Kart bushing and couldn't be happier. Dolomite
