Well I goggled "tennesseans can't read" and got 2,950,000 results. Must mean that all of us are illiterate. Or how about "tennessee residents racist" and I got 5,540,000 results, must mean we are all racist as well. The majority of your results are from the words "flash mob crime". I googled "santa flash mob crime" and got 1,700,000 results, at least we know where he is getting all those presents now. I don't feel so bad for the elves being worked so hard now. After looking at the data I posted it looks like the hispanics might make up part of the "white" group (Thanks Worriedman). This does leave the "black" group as the highest single group in the prison system. The majority of the crimes against black are committed by blacks. http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/pub/pdf/bvvc.pdf I got was upset when I saw someone speak as though an entire group of people are responsible for something they are obviously not. Rather than try to clump all blacks into this group realize that the mobs are not 100% black nor are their victims not 100% non black. Dolomite

And those Federal numbers are going to mimic prison sytem as a whole across the nation. Dolomite

BS on most inmates being black. White: (58.5*%) Black: (38.0*%) Native (1.8*%) Asian: (1.7*%) This is according to the Federal bureau of prisons. http://www.bop.gov/news/quick.jsp Dolomite

Good to know, I thought the FFL forgot the last gun I bought. Dolomite

I didn't know there was a form to do a transfer. Other than the standard 4473 and fingerprints there is nothing else that would be required and that is only if the sale goes through an FFL. There are no requirements for any type of paperwork for a person to person sale or transfer. Dolomite

+1I was at a shop locally and they had a used S-12 that hadn't been coverted. They were still wanting $750 for it. I am actually looking for a mag fed 12 gauge for a project but I am not going to spend what they are asking for the ability to do a quick mag change. Dolomite

Arrested for filming from the front yard?
Dolomite_supafly replied to Paladin132's topic in General Chat
I will concede I was wrong in my previous post. I still believe that there is more that went on prior to the video that put the officers on edge. Was it enough to warrant her arrest I seriously doubt it but I do believe her intent was to disrupt what the officers were trying to do. I would be willing to bet her demeanor prior to starting to record was a lot worse than what we saw on the video. Officers are afraid of the video camera. Not because they are doing anything wrong but because everyone can Monday morning quarter back them and point out the flaws of their split second decision. I know I worried about it, not because I would do anything wrong but because in most cases the people who decide whether I was right or wrong in my actions have never worked in LE. With that being said I am for everyone tape or recording their encounters with any LE or government employee. Eventually the good officers will see it is something good and embrace it. The bad officers will be exposed and hopefully removed from LE. But generally it doesn't happen, they are allowed to resign and move on to another jurisdiction to continue their crooked ways. I have a 580. I am looking for a 580/581/590/591 and like to have spare parts in case thy have issues. I drilled and tapped the factory trigger for adjustments. Didnt really like how it worked out so I put it back to factory settings. Almost any tweaking affects the safety's operation, I couldn't apply the safety once I got it to where I liked it. Works fine now with a little fluff and buff. Dolomite

If you install the 788 trigger pm me. I'll buy the factory trigger. Dolomite

I met one of the workers while he was an RSO at the VRPC in Halls. I am awful with names but he is a nice personable guy. I am going to help him out with getting his AR trigger a bit nicer. The shop is definitely on my visit list even if it is an hour away from me. Dolomite

I have turned into a fan of bolt guns for subsonic use. Even without a suppressor they are quieter than most autos. Right now the only dedicated subsonic bolt gun I have is my wife's 45 ACP built on a Savage action. I sold all the other stuff thinking I was going to be unable to shoot like before because of my injuries. I am looking for project guns again but have yet to find what I am looking for. I am really needing a Remington 580/581/590/591 for a centerfire conversion. Other than that I would like to find a beater Savage. Dolomite

SABRE DEFENCE MASSAD AYOOB PROFESSIONAL 15.APPRAISAL
Dolomite_supafly replied to a topic in Long Guns
Not sure how much you paid but I have seen them sell for well under $2,000. Sabre Defense isn't gone. It is being moved to Alabama under new owners but the same name. Dolomite -
And people wonder why their children are out of control. This parent was doing what must be done. That is she is putting the fear of doing something wrong in their mind. If a child isn't afraid of getting hurt when they do wrong they have no incentive to do what is right. I didn't have to spank my son after probably age 4 or 5 but it was always on his mind long after that age. This is only getting worse also. I have heard people say that grounding or not allowing kids to play their game consoles is child abuse. The biggest problem is these parents are more concerned with being their children's friend than being a responsible parent. Dolomite

12031e (other state video)

+1 Even if they did loose someone, the mindset they have would probably result in the opposite of what Bajabuc as well as most of us would want to see. Time and time again the killing of an innocent only hardens the resolve of most anti's. What would be better is if that someone special was saved by some who was carrying. Dolomite -
Getting started with reloading?
Dolomite_supafly replied to cyh1830's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Something else that helps eleminate problems is the right powder for the caliber. There are powders out there that will nearly fill the case when using normal charge weights. This eliminates the chance if a double charge going unnoticed. On the other side there are powders that are hard to tell if it is triple charged especially in large cases. For the novice 223 loaders I recommend Varget. You can't fit enough powder in the case to blow a gun up unless you are really trying to do so by shaking the charge down and compressing it and even then I am not sure you could. Dolomite -
Standard is 5/8-24. Most 30 caliber and larger rifles use this thread. Dolomite

Arrested for filming from the front yard?
Dolomite_supafly replied to Paladin132's topic in General Chat
Realize this, if an officer gives you an order you are required to follow it. If it turns out what he ordered you to do to be an illegal you can later sue in court. If you refuse the order, no matter how screwed up, you are still refusing the orders of a officer. Think of it as the same as an arrest that is unlawful. You have no right to refuse the arrest even I you are innocent. As far as taping any incident I am all for it. An officer should not fear the camera if he is acting in good faith. Even if he isn't in the right as long as what he thought he was doing was right he should not have anything to be concerned about. It is the officers that are accustomed to doing wrong and often do that fear the cameras. An officer should want every possible witness. Dolomite -
I'll chime in later when my power comes back up. I have tried all different kinds of parts and found some work for me and some don't. I would recommend getting with a few AR owners and try their gear. It will save you time and money in the long run because AR's tend to be a bit more customizable and personal. Dolomite

I carry full size guns OWB without issue. I switch up between a 1911 and a 24/7 with a 5.2" barrel. Never had an issue. I do use leather holsters I have made for my own use. I decided to make my own when I couldn't find a holster that felt right and was angled right. Most holsters are angled too far forward for them to be comfortable for me. An uncomfortable gun is a gunyou won't carry so mine are as comfortable as I can make them. Dolomite

I'm 20 miles east of Knoxville and lost power at 9pm. I'm isolated so I don't believe I will have any problems with roamers. Still sucks or at least it will when the hot ass sun comes out. Dolomite

Without out a doubt you are correct Mike. If people would worry about taking care of their own dirty laundry and not worry about telling everyone else what to wear the world would be a better place. The laws of this nation are one of the biggest problems and stiffles freedom. Too many laws make it illegal to do something even if it does not affect anyone else. Hold the individuals responsible for their actions when they hurt someone else and leave the rest of us alone to live our life. If someone wants to do something in the privacy of their own home, regardless of what it is, and it doesn't affect anyone else so be it. Now the second it does affect someone else hold them, the individual responsible, but quit punishing people en masse for what one individual might or moght not do. It should not be illegal to own machine guns, suppressors, do drugs, or many of the other activities the government has deemed illegal. That is providing you are a consenting party to whatever is going on. Dolomite

Got to love the helicopter rocket pod mounted to a truck. I was going to say it was all staged for the camera until I heard the cracks of bullets coming back around :49. They are all using the usual "spray and pray" tactics of most of the people over there use. We would be in a world of hurt if they ever decided to actually aim and use their sights. They are all a very determined bunch. It would be hard to fight against such strong determinations as well as their strong willingness to die for their God. Dolomite

And life as we know it gets scarier and scarier. Nothing good can come of this. These are the ones that really scare me: The Department of Homeland Security’s Director of the Office of Domestic Preparedness The Treasurer of the United States Managing Director of the Corporation for National and Community Service The Office of Management and Budget’s Controller, Office of Federal Financial Management Director of the Community Development Financial Institution Fund Any position that deals with controlling money should not be an appointed position. After all those who control the money control the country. The first one can also have far reaching affects during crisis. Dolomite

Leo first encounter with my hcp
Dolomite_supafly replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
It is use that kills springs more so than being compressed for a long time. I found an old AR mag of my fathers. It was loaded with over 20 rounds and had been that way for a very long time. The last time he would have had it was in the mid 80's and I found it in roughly 2005. I emptied the mag, loaded it up and fired it without issue. Dolomite
