  1. She is probably not going to see his video until she is able to understand why he did it. I am glad to see a parent monitoring their kid's actions online and probably offline as well. And more importantly nipping in the bud any behavior that might not help the child later on. There are many problems with our society today but I believe the biggest one is parents either not getting involved or when they do they try harder to be their child's friend than a actually being a parent. As parents our biggest responsiblity is to prepare our children to be successful in life. If we don't then we doing an injustice to our children. Those parents who believe their child has a right to privacy are wrong when it comes to them. Children do from those outside the family but not from within. I made sure I knew when, where and what my child was doing at all time to the best of my ability. I also monitored his online chats to make sure I had a leg up when it came to thwarting his plans that might get him in trouble. And when he did get in trouble my reaction was always swift and proportionate. And then within hours I always explained why what he did was wrong but in most cases he already knew. I was far from the perfect parent, no parent is, but I tried my hardest to make sure my son is prepared. I was involved in my child's life as much a possible but as a parent and not as a friend. 2. That isn't that bad of an APR compared to other lenders. Pawn Shop APR's are 300% on loans. Although not as bad, I have read about certain credit cards that have 67% interest rates. They start out at less than 10% then when maxed out they jump to 25%+ and when you miss a payment they jump to 67%. I honestly believe the companies like Blue Sky lending make it easy for those who steal identities to get their ill gotten booty.. I understand that it is the customer's responsibility to know what you are getting into but some of these lending companies should not be allowed to do what they do. Dolomite
  3. It comes with a Magpul rear sight. They are good sights for those who are one a budget. Dolomite
  4. You might need a good single point sling to carry that around. Dolomite
  5. Buy a kinetic bulelt puller. Tear the surplus bullets down then replace the bullets with quality pieces as well as the proper powder charge. Should be cheaper than buying quality ammo that is already loaded. Dolomite
  6. Her eis a rifle to go with your dies: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/44542-remington-700-bdl-in-222-remington/page__fromsearch__1 Dolomite
  7. Trust me, she earns every penny she gets from this jackass. Seriously though, we both have our hobbies. Her hobby is horses and mine is firearms. And we actually share eachother's hobbies. She likes to shoot and although I can't ride I do enjoy spending time at the stable where her horse is boarded. Also, I don't mind spending money on my wife. When times have been hard we both have had to cut back on our hobbies and when times allow we enjoy our hobbies to the fullest. Dolomite
  8. I pulled some Tula today. They all measured .308 +/- .001. I will say the bullets did weigh 123g-124g. I didn't measure the powder charge but I will the next time I pull some down. Dolomite
  9. Honestly, there is a reason why they are selling so good. I am even considering buying one just to have another without breaking the bank. Dolomite
  10. Midway has Bushnell 3200 mil/mil scopes. They are a fixed 10x and are very reliable. They are regularly $249 but have been one sale for $179. They are on sale about every other month. The Mueller scopes are another good deal. I would try to get a mil/mil scope. Having the same adjustments as the reticle makes on the fly corrections easier. I use the mildot to range and for quick holdovers. If I can dial it I will. If you see your impact 2 mils low you can add 2 on the turret. It isn't that easy with moa turrets. Dolomite
  11. I spent half a day looking for a particular tire. The cheapest place in town was Fleet Tire off of Central. They are great people and are actually really quick to take care lf walk ins. And so you know they were about $40 cheaper per tire than the nearest competitor. Dolomite
  12. Sig is also introducing a 9mm version of their P238, the P938. It is only slightly larger but packs a lot more firepower into a small package. I have shot a P238 some and really like the gun. It is accurate and the recoil wasn't bad at all. One thing I do like is they are easy to rack and another is they can be racked with the thumb safety engaged. The only problem was the first magazine because the gun was dry. Once lubed up it ran like a champ. Dolomite
  13. Do you live in a house or apartment/condo? If you live in a house do you have a yard? How about a pool? If you have a yard then have someone drill down to the water table. After that you can use a hand pump to get an endless supply of water. If you are alraedy on a well then you can have an endless supply of water for very little money. You can also drill you own if you are so inclined. Here are a few good how-to's: It works in the same way as when you were a kid and pushed a water hose into the yard. All you need to do is get down to the water table. If you don't want to do that then get some 55 gallon food safe drums and set them out to collect rain water. There is a guy on craigslist that sells them for $15, he also has 15 gallon food safe jugs for $7. Even if the water isn't clean and potable it is still useable after disinfecting it. Disinfecting it isn;t going to be the hard part, getting the water is. If you have a pool then there is plenty of water for you, just need to disinfect it. As far a filtering goes you can make a sand filter. I made mine for less than $20 and it will filter about a 8 ounce glass of water per minute. And once you build up the schmutzdecke layer on top there is no need to boil or disinfect it. That layer takes a few weeks of constant use to build up. Once it is there no bacteria can make it through alive. You can also make a much larger version to do more water but the concept is still the same and it is still relatively cheap. Potable water is going to be the hardest to come by for most people. Dolomite
  14. Need to make sure you have the correct ORI on the fingerprint cards. Any NFA dealer will have the correct fingerprint cards. Dolomite
  15. You can make that Walmart match the other Walmart's pricing. Dolomite
  16. Another big problem I have is those who are married are penalized while those who just live together aren't. If a man and women have a child, live together and then never get married they get more benefits than those who are married. We have made it too easy for parents to live as a married couple yet receive the beneifts of being a single parent. If I had my way a paternity test would confirm the child's father before ANY benefits are received. And any benefits received by the parent for a child are taken from the other parent on a dollar for dollar basis unless the parents of the child are married. Also, anyone receiving any type of government benefits should relinquish back to the government any income tax refund they receive. It shouldn't matter if the refund is $1 or $5,000 it should be returned. I know of one lady, she was a good friend of my wife's. She lived with her boyfriend for years and years, well over a decade. They lived in the same residence and shared everything as if they were married. Now during tax time only she claims her kids and receives, on average, a $5,000 return because she is a "single" mother. And this is not a rare occurance because there is more incentives for a mother to live single. Dolomite
  17. I am trying to decide whether to have a contractor do this or not. My wife and I built our house so the skills are there but I am thinking that having someone do it might be better for us. I am very, very limited on what I can do because of an accident but my wife is very capable of doing this on her own. We need a single door put into an exterior, load bearing wall. The wall is vinyl covered wood. The house was built in 2003 and has no issues that would affect the install. We are wanting an estimate for labor alone, I will purchase all items needed before the work starts. If we like the price and the work there are plans for other work as well. PM me a rough estimate if you are interested. Thanks Dolomite
  18. I just built one on my wife's 9mm AR. It fits nicely in a small case that will hold other supplies as well. Dolomite
  19. If you look at all the views Romney has it screams democrat. He is anti gun, he contributed to Planned Parenthood, he is pro choice and wants mandated healthcare. Obama-care is nothing more than Romney-care on steroids. Jimmy Carter's endorsement of him is very telling as to where Romney sits. Romney is a democrat but people forget this just because he has a ® next to his name. I really wish there wasn't a ® or (D) next to candidates names on the ballot. That way people would vote according to their views and not according to their party line. Dolomite
  20. Switching to EBT cards did nothing to prevent food stamp fraud. The reason I know is my drug fiend of a brother receives money on an EBT card. The store he used to go to won't allow him in anymore because he was caught shoplifting. The store said that people come in and use his card all the time. I asked why they were taking the card if my brother wasn't the one using it. The store said that according to the office that manages the program a store CANNOT ask for id. They said if a store required ID to use the EBT cards they will pull the store's ability to accept those cards. The office also said if one person has someone else's card then they must have the card holder's persmission to use that card. I have said it before and I will say it again. There is a women who comes into our local store every month and buys a bunch of tuna using her EBT card. She said it is for her cats to eat. She said that until she was allowed to buy cat food on her EBT she would continue to buy them tuna. I am talking about good tuna, not the crap stuff most of us have to buy. This lady should be thrown in jail for fraud. There are people who truly benefit from the system but there are those who view the welfare system as a reason to have a kid. I understand falling on hard times unexpectedly and then needing assistance. I don't fault those people. I do fault those people who get pregnant after falling on hard times then expect the rest of us to help raise them. We have young girls that are our neighbors. They dropped out of school and began squirting out kids as young as humanly possible. These are the types the OP is upset about most. As I said I understand those that fall on hard times and need help. I do not fault those people but I have very little sympathy for those who bring children into the world knowing they can't support them. Children need emotional as well as financial support to grow up healthy and if you can't provide those basic needs then you shouldn't have any until you can. Dolomite
  21. Get a hold of Predator Custom Shop. They do transfers. BTW, what you getting? Dolomite
  22. No state income tax in Tennessee. The economy is a bit depressed here so things tend to be cheaper than most other places in the states. Especially true for used items. Compared to most other cities I have been to Knoxville doesn't have a lot of entertainment type stuff. Not a lot of restaurants compared to most other cities its size either. Not sure about Asheville but illegal drugs are rampant here. Meth and Oxy are the two big ones that are destroying lives every day. I like living here but we have considered moving from time to time. Picking between the two I would have to say Knoxville. Just because Tennessee is more gun friendly and there is no state income tax. Dolomite
  23. The SD is a warmed over Sigma. The magazines interchange between the two as long as you swap base plates. The triggers are identical as far as pull and function. I would save the $100+ and buy a Sigma over the SD although the SD does look nicer. I owned a Sigma and never had a single issue with it. It was one of the better feeling guns to shoot. The trigger was really heavy but I installed a reduced striker spring and that took care of a lot of the trigger pull issues. The early Sigmas had issues but the new VE models do not, every one I have ever seen or fired has been 100% reliable. And honestly when you consider they can be had for under $300 that is a great deal for a reliable gun. Dolomite
  24. A few years back there was a friend who got his hands on a airsoft ACOG. It was one of the 4x ones with the BDC reticle and no illumination. They tried it with 62 grain bullets and were right on the money out to 600 yards with a 16" carbine. They fired a bunch of rounds and when it kept zero they decided to step it up a few notches. They put it on a FA AR and fired a few hundred rounds without issue. Next they put it in a 7.62x51 rifle and after a few hundred rounds it still held zero. Even after a number of FA mag dumps with the 7.62x51 it was still holding up just fine. Last I heard it was still being used and abused without a single issue. If I recall correctly they paid $125 for it about 5 years ago. Here is one similar: http://www.ebay.com/...=item3a6fb00e6e There are a few "clones" I have wanted to try. The biggest one is the Elcan Spectre replica for $200. They make them with the 1x-4x and look pretty good. Dolomite
  25. Not sure how I made ti without you guys for a day but I did. Luckily whatever cold, crud, flu I have kept me occupied. Maybe it was just TGO withdrawls. Dolomite
