  1. People cannot sell their reloaded ammunition unless they are licensed to do so. And I seriously doubt you are going to see any savings buying reloads from someone who is legal. As prag said reloading is pretty simple and the initial investment can be pretty small. With 45 you could probably break even in under 1,000 reloads. If I buy all the components I can reload 45 ACP for about .13 each. You can easily get everything you need to load 45 ACP for under $200 and probably get that number under $150 if you dig a little. Because I now cast my own bullets I have reduced that to under .05 each. If you are going to be at the show this weekend talk to David at the reloading section. He can get you into everything you need. Dolomite
  2. Ask and you shal receive. http://rjfgear.com/ Dolomite
  3. 3.5 ounces of lean chicken , wrapped into lettuce leaves.. 1 cup of steamed baby spinach with a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar.. and Peppermint tea sweetened with Stevia ( Wife`s lunch) I had homemade Chilli. and a bottle of water
  4. The electrolysis is a very destructive process but it is less than rust itself. Best bet would be to just wipe it down with oil. Dolomite
  5. As the title says I am looking for a local source for spices in bulk. Allspice Chili powder Curry powder Creole seasoning Garlic Salt Pepper MSG Dolomite
  6. Make sure it isn't coated like with zinc or anything. Also, do it outdoors because it releases hydrogen gas which is explosive. You normally have to go to Kroger for the washing, not baking, soda. More is not better either. I used a teaspoon or two per 5 gallon bucket. Talk to your relative to see if he wants to sell. And make sure to remind him if the stocks have been burned the guns are probably unsafe to shoot. Dolomite

  8. Television wasn't turned on at all yesterday. I was feeling pretty good so we went to Panther creek for a little bit of time outside. Dolomite
  9. Great way to put it. I laughed a bit at this even though it is true. Dolomite
  10. I missed the vote. I am really upset with myself now. I hope it turns out to be the same as on here. Ron Paul is about the only candidate who seems truthful. The rest have lied, changed positions or are part of the problem. I wonder what is going to happen if Paul takes the lead. Dolomite
  11. Bad things can happen if the case necks are too long. The reason is the throat won't allow the case neck to release the bullet. This spikes the pressures to unsafe levels even with modest loads. The case neck should never be long enough to get into the throat. I have measured a few 223 chambers and most have some leeway but must were under 1.770. Actually 223 should be 1.750, not 1.760. 1.760 is the MAX length. I normally trim to 1.745 and get a lot more loads between trimmings. The cases headspace off the shoulder so having a shorter than spec neck won't hurt as long as the bullet is being held firmly. I never crimp and never have a problem. I use a Lee neck sizing die with the mandrel filed down to .219 rather than the factory size of .221.
  12. Would you be interested in selling the 243 as is? Providing it hasn't been heated too far. Not too concerned with condition as long as it will not be unsafe after a rebuild. Dolomite
  13. It is a 9 twist SS 16" barrel that is not chrome lined. All loads are 2.23" OAL in order to feed from the magazines. The brass was match prepped and used Wolf SRM primers. There was no crimp, only neck tension holding the bullet. The brass was R-P with several loadings on them. I ran loads from 27.1 to 28.3 with 53 SMK. 28.3 grains seemed like a sweet spot with the 53 SMK. 27.7 did equally as well. For the 69 SMK I loaded from 24.5-24.9 grains. They did fine and shot comparable to my Varget loads with the same charge weights. Although it may not shoot the 69 better than Varget it is doing it cheaper. I have loaded using H335 and the SMP 842 is more accurate. Tula runs around 4"-5" at 100 yards. With factory Remington green box it was shooting 2" at 100 yards. With Blackhills it was around an inch. I have never really did any shooting using surplus US ammo. And all of this was done with a bore that has had little more than a bore snake ran through it in years. I did clean the bolt in order to see how clean the powder was. And as always my data was safe in my gun. I cannot guarantee it will be in yours. Make sure you follow published data and work up accordingly to keep yourself safe. Do no rely on my load data, do your own research. Dolomite
  14. I need some data for my new project. I have data I have amassed from the net but want to verify before loading up. It is for 7.62x39 using HEAVY bullets at both supersonic and subsonic velocities. I will send anyone who is able to help me a AR trigger kit. Thanks Dolomite
  15. I have used SMP 842 and it helped me shoot the best group I ever have with my AR. It cycled 100% with 53 grain SMK's as well as my 69 SMK load. I got some sub 1/2" groups at 122 yards during load development. And after about 60 rounds you couldn't hardly tell the AR had been shot. I like it so much I am getting ready to load 1,000 rounds using it. Those rounds are going to be part of my stash. David, DLM37015 on here, sells it at the shows for around $100 for an 8 pound jug. For the money it can't be beat. David also sells the primed brass and 62 grain bullets to make your own M855 rounds. You should be able to load 1,000 rounds for under $250. Dolomite
  16. Who cares? It is obvious they don't care so why should any potential customer. It sounds almost like the greeting you get at CCA. Dolomite
  17. To expound on what Murgatroy has said. All sales between private parties and within the borders of the state do not require a FFL. This is providing you feel comfortable enough with the buyer. It is perfectly legal to sell a firearm sight unseen by the buyer and ship it directly to the buyer without going through an FFL as long as it is a in state sale. For anyone ordering online ensure the one you are ordering is the one with the Magpul rear sight. Evidentally there are some that have fixed rear sights rather than the Magpul sights. Dolomite
  18. And the electrolysis removal works well to unfreeze badly rusted guns. I took a completely frozen house fire pistol and after a day I was able to cock it even though the springs were shot. Basically all you need is a battery charger, some washing (not baking) soda and some leads. Dolomite
  19. You do realize that older guns used a process called rust bluing. It leaves a brown finish that looks like rust but it was the finish used before blue bluing came along. Removing the rust blue from an older gun may be ruining any value the gun has. I would never sandblast a gun unless you want a flat black look. If the wood was damaged by the fire the metal may have lost its strength in the fire. I would not chance shooting anything other than a 22 if it has damage. What guns are they? You may be ruining some very valueable guns by trying to refinish them. I watched a guy walk into a show with a very old and very rare Colt single action. In its original finish it was worth $3,000-$5,000, maybe even more but because he took a wire wheel to it the day of the show it turned it into a $500 shooter. He said he was trying to get the brown rust coloring off. It didn't appear to have any pitting and the grips were in nice shape other than where the wire wheel hit them. Just saying you need to make sure the brown you see isn't the factory finish. Dolomite
  20. Take it to Predator Custom Shop. They wil be glad to do it for you and there prices are very reasonable considering the damage you are probably going to do trying to get it off. You can ruin your gun without the right tools. And I would be willing to bet you spent more on the replacement parts than what they are going to charge you to install it. Dolomite
  21. Parts are getting harder to come by but other than that they are decent beater guns. I have one that is used and abused but it still shoots fine. Dolomite
  22. 5R barrels from S&W are 8 twist, not 9 so yours is standard rifling. Dolomite
  23. Your employer can dictate what conditions must be meet in order for you to remain an employee. If that condition is no guns on his property then he can fire you. And even if this bill passes it will not change anything other than the employer will not give a reason for firing you because he isn't required to give you a reason. And I still contend that a property owner has the right to ask anyone to leave for any reason at all. If that reason is that you have a gun in your car then so be it. Dolomite
