  1. You got that right, I swear the world is crumbling down all around us and everyone has blinders on.
  2. That is seen as resume fodder for the typical democratic criminal in office. Now they KNOW she can handle some heat.
  3. Not exactly the same but we had a lady embezzle $60K from a business. She stole it $500 at a time on gift cards and had been doing it for quite some time. She was given 3 years unsupervised probation and an order to pay restitution. She went back to the courts stating she could not work and they waived her order to pay restitution. The courts are no longer about justice.
  4. Inaction means there is no hope for success. Doing anything is better than doing nothing.
  5. I will say I skimmed over what was posted here in the blog but what was posted here mentions nothing about LE.
  6. I don't see ANY of that in THIS thread. It is on another website but not in this thread. I have no control over, and will not police, what is posted on other websites. It is a LONG article and most of it, the bad stuff, was not quoted but what is quoted mentions nothing about cops. The link is there for reference.
  7. I see no mention of law enforcement or the blog singling out law enforcement. That is an inference your mind made.
  8. Not screwed, there are plenty of companies that service silencers. A friend of mine has a company that records and jailbreaks silencers.
  9. I picked up a stripped RRA upper, all is well. Just need to square it up before I begin putting it together.
  10. That sums it up. I don't have a problem with people bringing their pets into stores. I don't even have a problem if the dog isn't perfectly behaved. The problem I have is with those people who try pass their pets off as a service animal when they are obviously not service animals. I view it the same way as when someone parks in a handicap spot who does not have a disability.
  11. We were at Home Depot with Sam, who is a young dog. I am teaching him to not get excited at the Home Depot workers but they ALWAYS shove treats in his face or try to call to him. I ask them to wait and they always get upset that I will not drop what I am doing to let them give him treats or pet on him. The other day my wife had Sam and a worker called to Sam as he walked up to pet him, which got Sam excited. My wife told the worker to not pet him. The worker walked off talking crap. My wife asked him what he said and he got pissy with her saying don't bring your dog into the store unless they are allowed to pet them. On a different note dogs can see orange. Sam only responds to people with orange on. Doesn’t happen at Lowe’s. I imagine football season is going to be fun.
  12. That I am getting tired of the BS.
  13. Just left Walmart, I know I am a glutton for punishment, and a young lady, obviously a millennial, had a dog with a service dog vest on. I will say I am generally not one to say anything but this dog was definitely not a service dog. What clued me in was the fact the dog was struggling to climb on everyone. As well as the fact it lunged at a young child. But I bet if you said anything she would flip her lid crying she needed an “emotional support” animal to go shopping. BTW, “emotional support” is not recognized by the ADA as a use for a service animal. I wish they would require some sort of ID that retailers could verify.
  14. I have shot A LOT of bullets into water. They will leave you with a bullet that is perfectly mushroomed, if it is designed to. Plumbers putty expands the bullet well but generally over expands the bullet, if that makes sense. I use water to check performance. I use plumbers putty to test durability.
  15. I might have to buy a standard upper locally them machine it down to the lightweight I bought.
  16. I just need one that is in spec. The barrel extension is perfect, the upper isn't even close. Upper is also extremely tight in the charging handle channel.
  17. I've built enough ARs to understand what it takes to build a decent gun.
  18. Not going to hack job an expensive barrel into an expensive upper receiver.
  19. So I am starting another build. I bought an upper that turns out is VERY loose in the barrel channel. It is as least .007" too large so the barrel basically wobbles inside the receiver, not very good for accuracy. Barrel is good but the receiver is loose. Anyone know of any, or had any problems, with an upper receiver being too tight? I am looking for one that is as tight as possible because this is going to be built as accurately as possible. I haven't built an AR in at least 6 years so have no idea what is good or not good as far as components any more. Prefer forged over billet because of weight.
  20. Its Wisconsin, not likely. They are becoming more and more liberal by the day.
  21. I would fill up a trash can with water and shoot down into it. Should work really well except for slower bullets that do not expand well.
  22. I have been using plumbers putty. It doesn't require as much but it is a lot more dense. Plumber's putty lets you know how the bullet will perform but it will not give you accurate penetration results
  23. It was an awesome time. A lot of great information was put out. I had a great time and looking forward to the next one.
  24. I really can’t, for a few reasons. The biggest is I do not have the wood working tools needed to do a good job. Elm doesn’t dry straight so getting an 8’ long board that is flat would be nearly impossible or at least the boards I have are not straight Here is a pic of the top in place.
