Can't find any night sights

I buy mine from them. Dolomite -
I would hope so Dolomite

If you reload then you can knock about $80 off that by buying from DLM37015. And you get much better ammo than most anything you can buy. Using his components I have loaded ammo that has a standard deviation of 2. Most factory ammo is lucky to get a SD that is under 20. Dolomite

Check this magazine out

+1 or at least not in a closed bolt gun. There are several variants of the AR that fire from an open bolt and those would fill the role well providing the barrel was heavy enough. Another gun this might work really well with is the Shrike which is a upper I have drooled over for a very, very long time. I know my next AR build is going to be a "crew served" type gun capable of extended firing times. I am probably going to use a .960" barrel with cooling fins machined in for more surface area. It will also likely be a gas piston setup to prevent the gas tube from become plasticized and blowing up with the increased rates of fire. Dolomite -
The CZ 455 is designed to allow easy swapping of the barrel to a different weight or caliber. The 452 is not replaceable or at least not as easy as a 455. Purpose will dictate what you get. If accuracy is the ultimate quest then the CZ or the Savage are what you want. They are about equal as far as practical accuracy goes but the CZ feels like a real gun. A 10/22 can be made to shoot as well as either of these but it will likely cost you close to twice as much to do it. CZ's also feel like a quality gun unlike the Savage. The Savage shoots well but it doesn't feel like a quality firearm like a CZ. If it were me with my money to spend it would be the 455. They are great guns and every bit as accurate as anything mentioned so far. Plus you can get an extra barrel or two to suit other uses. It literally take about 5 minutes to swap a barrel on a 455. It has two screws that hold the barrel rigidly in the receiver. Dolomite

You can rent a car for not much more than a bus ticket anymore. You can easily get to Alabama in a day and could probably do it for under $100 including the gas and rental. Even when you add in all the other fees it will be under $70 and I seriously doubt you are going to use $50 in gas. http://www.carrentals.com/search/memphis,tn,us/2012-07-13-12-00/birmingham,al,us/2012-07-14-12-00 It is also prefectly legal for you to ship your guns to yourself but it can be pricey. Those blue helmets make great target markers. All kidding aside, 95% of gun owners would turn in their firearms under threat of jail. Of the 5% remaining 4% would just hide their guns and pretend like they don't have them and show them to friends a couple of times a year. The 1% that are willing to do something will likely not stand a chance against any UN invaders. And because of the US being the fist of the UN you will likely see US soldiers, and their equipment, doing the majority of the leg work. It will also be US citizens who will be loosing the most in terms of both lives and freedom. On a side not, I just pulled up Posse Comitatus on Wiki and it says that it is unlawful to use US troops for enforcement of laws unless directed by the President. Wonder when that changed? I guess it is the liberal side numbing us to it before it happens. Dolomite

The Elephants and Donkeys deserve the BIRD

How about this, if Romney really wants the best for the country he can bow out and tell all his supporters to through there votes to RP? RP would be a far better President for the country than anyone else right now. I am going to vote Obama out but Romney is nothing more than a democrat of 20 years ago. You can see it in his personal life as well as his professional life. I suspect if Romney makes it into office he is going to one of the worst Presidents ever, even worse than Obama. And we are going to see more BS shoved down our throats because he is going to pander himself to those who are really in power. Dolomite -
I am so glad we did not have a daughter. I would have been in jail for keeping her chained to a radiator and there would be dozens of shallow depressions on my property. And in a case like this I would have beat the man so he would never think about looking at an underage girl. Problem with this, as the investigation is going to show, is the man has done this before. Rarely do criminals get caught the first time they break the law. And for someone to be so bold as to meet a girl, that is what she is, in a public area for not so public intentions means he has become very bold. Hopefully LE will find no victims but in reality they probably will and when they do I hope they toss this guy under the jail or at least in general population for a bit of inmate justice. Dolomite

On my way to the ER***GRAPHIC***
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Show and Tell
The worst part of the whole thing is for years I have been telling my wife to use a proper tool for the job, especially with knives. Now if I could only practice what I preach. Gun is already back together, did it the following day while the wife went to town. She wouldn't let me do anything so I had to wait for the right time. Dolomite -
http://www.tactical-life.com/online/products/armatacs-150-round-cl-mag-magazine/ Not worth the price to me but definitely the largest AR magazine made now. Dolomite

I wonder if a M203 quadrant sight might work. Maybe fill in the current graduations and mark new numbers. I will look at adapting a ladder style site to a picatinny rail. I was looking at it a few years back for my wife's 45 ACP bolt gun. There are tons of perfectly useful sights from long ago. We just need to figure out how to attach them to our modern guns. Imagine an AR with a Sharps style tang sight. Dolomite

If you go to buy some more tell them to call the Walmart I either Clinton or Norris for a price match. Those two stores sell those for $149. Not sure if your price included tax or not. Dolomite

Even if everything they are asking for happens it will not change the an individual files a Form 1 or 4. I loved the stylized 7 minute movie. I like what they are trying to do but do you believe we have a snowballs chance in hell of changing anything? Especially in our current political climate. We have bigger fish to fry, our economy is the worst it has been EVER. Streamlining the NFA process isn't going to change that so our representatives are going to act interested and make false promises but in the end the ATF will continue to be overworked as our wait times grow from months to years. Dolomite
-
Wishful thinking. I know I would trust a department head at the ATF over anybody outside the ATF. But to satisfy everybody's curiosity I will make a call today and ask. Dolomite

Try hitting the "edit" button then the "use full editor" button. Hopefully I am right and you can cahnge everything you did when starting the ad. Dolomite

Is it the 30-06 ammo? If so I marked it sold for you. I will see if it is possible to do as a benefactor so you can edit it yourself next time. Dolomite

Ok, I did a little more digging. Was your old avatar the Gadsden Flag? The yellow "Don't tread on me flag"? If so then the link below was your old account. The spelling for your name was "dont_tread_on_me" apparently. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/user/4970-dont-tread-on-me/ Since then you must have changed service providers or at least where you logged in from. Looks like your old account (dont_tread_on_me) used a business account wtih your provider while this account (*Rockstar*) uses a residential account. Not really a lot of posts with the other user name but if you want it try using your password with how it is spelled above. If it still doesn't work then we can get David to reset your password for you. Dolomite -

1/4 ounce is enough to do dozens of guns. Most of the bulk of the mixture is two part epoxy. Dolomite -
Scranton, Pa slashes City workers' pay to minimum wage
Dolomite_supafly replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
But eventually the Feds are going to suffer the same fate. Cities cutting wages are also cutting federal taxes collected. This only hastens the demise of the government and those relying on them for survival. At some point we are going to fail and fail BIG! When we do the great depression is going to look like pretty nice. Dolomite -
I speak to a person HIGH within the ATF regularly about rumors and other questions. We aren't friends or anything but I can grab his ear on subjects, especially those that don't pass the sniff test. This same rumor came up in another thread a few months ago so I called the ATF and got it straight from the horses mouth. It is pure rumor. The rumor was started by a group. They had discussed and were going to request it but as of February it was pure rumor. It hasn't even been sent as a formal request, only discussions among group members. I need to call about the suppressor thing anyways so if I do call I will ask about the CLEO even though I know it is BS. Dolomite
-
This is a BS rumor or at least it was a little over month ago. I will make another call but I am almost positive this is BS just like it was a few months back. Not saying you are full of it, just saying your source is likely hearing a BS rumor from a few months ago. Another rumor is the ATF is considering dropping suppressors off the NFA registry because of pressure of some major manufacturers. Now that I would really to see because the cost of suppressors would drop. It would also allow people like me to make them without the additional cost of doing so. Dolomite

Met him at our local Bass Pro. We hung out and chatted for close to an hour. We were supposed to go shoot but my health may short work of that. It was nice to meet him and hope to meet him again soon. Dolomite
