  1. Yeah, that is an easy fix. Shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours to do. And materials are definately under $100. And if you are needing any tools you are more than welcome to borrow anything I have.
  2. Give me a call. We will figure this out.
  3.   You could also use a plate. That is mill the slide for the mounting plate and mount it to the slide then mount the optic to the plate.
  4. Your first? I checked on my first by calling in weekly and my first took 344 days.   After a few you just give up on checking and when it comes you say to yourself "Has it been that long since I submitted?". After my last one came in it took me several months to even get it built.
  5. nCentury is on top of this and they are going to do everything they can to fix the gun. If they are unable to fix the gun then I am out the gun and the are going to issue a credit. I suspect that even if they can straighten out the barrel issue they will still keep the gun because the threads are off enough that the bullet hits the flash hider. That tells me that there is a safety issue and I am not getting it back.   EVERY other time I have had a problem the vendor took care of the issue without the need for me to wait months for it to be resolved. This process is going to take months when every day things are getting more and more scarce as the elections get closer. Matter of fact the last problem I had I sent pictures of the issue and once they the gun was in the their hands they shipped the replacement directly to me before they even had time to inspect the return. I did not have to wait months and months for a replacement and actually had the gun two days later.   My issue is not that the gun is screwed up or that is needs to go back to Century. My issue is they are giving me a credit if Century cannot repair the gun.  So if Century cannot get the gun repaired I will be out the gun and because Prepper guns is saying they will only give me credit I will also be out the money unless I buy something else from them which I will not. And that is the problem I have.   I notified Prepper Guns of the issue as soon as I realized there was a problem. Their response was to send me a youtube video saying ALL AKs have canted sights. And when I sent pictures of how far the rear sight needed to go to the right to get on paper they immediately went into defensive mode and said I needed to go directly with the manufacturer, again no big deal. They did not do anything trying to secure a replacement for the defective firearm. I am pretty sure they were still in stock when I notified them of the problem and I would have bought a second so I would not be out the gun. They pretty much washed their hands of the issue the second I said I had a problem. The customer service guy even recognized my name and said he remembers me because of all the guns I have purchased recently.   I have asked them bluntly whether they are going to give me a refund in am email. If they decide to change their mind and issue a refund then I will pull this down.       So far Century is trying to do everything they can to resolve the issue. Based on the 10+ Century guns I have bought in the last two years I would have no problem buy a gun imported by Century. Some of their US made models may have issues but so far the guns they have imported have been PERFECT.   Maybe Spots can comment on the brand new WASR I lent him a few weeks ago. It looked great but only Spots has fired it.
  6. Using WD40 to CLEAN a gun is fine. I have used the method I described hundreds of times and never had an issue. I can assure you squirting some into the trigger mechanism then blowing it out is easier than disassembling and reassembling most guns. I have recommended it here dozens of times and I have yet to hear of a single person who has had a problem using it as a cleaner. WD40 is not even a lubricating oil. It is more of a solvent or cutting oil than a lubricating oil. And as a protectant it is awful except WD40's Specialist Long Term Corrosion. The Specialist Corrosion from WD40 is better than any other protectant designed for protecting firearms and that is fact, not opinion.
  7. I have already forwarded the email from Prepper Guns' to Century where Prepper Guns said I will not get a refund. I didn't object to issuing me a credit except I have no interest in buying anything they have in stock. And when I told them I would prefer a refund they said I would only get credit and I would only get it after Century gives them THEIR refund.
  8. I know it should be but people get LE involved in civil matters all the time when they get butt hurt. And honestly how they have acted regarding the refund I could see them being spiteful. So far Century has really surprised me.
  9. They refused to let me return it. I was going to ship it back anyways but then they would have the gun and the money and I would be out $800. I am shipping it back to Century today and Monday I will request a chargeback. After Prepper Guns refuses to give me a refund I will file a claim in court. My only concern is they convince LE I have broken the law. The shop has repeatedly said I will NEVER get a refund for the gun no matter what Century says or does. I can promise you I will post all our correspondence on every gun board across the Internet once this is done.
  10. The bank has said they will refund my money within 60 days of purchase. Surely to God Century will determine whether it is fixable before then.
  11. I am going to let Century look at the gun because I would rather have the gun than the money at this point. Now if the gun cannot be repaired then I will have them do a chargeback rather than get store credit.
  12. The serial number on the trunion says it is a 2014 gun. But the RH10 is a brand new model, definitely not here in 2014.     You bet. I bet at 25 yards no amount of adjustment, on both the front and rear sights, will get me on paper.   I assume the front sight was canted because you could see it was to the left of the receiver as you looked at it from the back of the receiver. The front sight and rear sight are square to each other and they are square to the barrel the barrel is not square to the receiver.
  13. It is not easily fixed by me and I will not pass it off to someone else. I have already contacted the bank, they are more receptive to it now they know I have documentation the documentation I have. I am going to send it to Century and see if they can fix it. Hopefully they can fix it, if not I will file a small claims court case against Prepper when they refuse to give me a refund after Century gives Prepper Guns their refund. Century no longer has any RH10's to replace this one. So it is either fix it and I get the gun back or Century keeps the gun. If Century keeps the gun they will issue Prepper Guns a refund but Prepper Guns will not give me refund. So hopefully it is fixable. I just did a very detailed once over and it has several issues. First the barrel is leaning to the left 1/8" at the hand guard retainer so that means it is 1/4" at the muzzle. Second the threads are not concentric to the bore. It is so bad that the muzzle device is being struck by the bullet. I tried removing the flash hider but it still shoots left. The receiver is wavy as well, it is varies by as much as 1mm at various points along the receiver. And although I initially thought it was a canted sight the sights are square to each other and square to the barrel but the barrel is leaning to the left. Stuff like this happens and I am not upset that the gun is hosed. I am upset at the fact if the gun is not able to be repaired I will be forced to use store credit at a store that I now detest. I have spent thousands of dollars with them since I started getting into AKs and ALL have been from a single store, Prepper Gun shop. But not a penny more. Here is a picture showing the difference between the left and right sides.
  14. I guess their return policy is a lie. "How To Return An Item Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. Your must return the item within 30 days of your purchase. We are unable to accept Firearms and Ammunition for returns. If there is any manufacturing defect with a firearm please email and we will speak with the manufacturer/distributor about repairs or replacement."
  15. The vendor is Prepper Guns this is there response. "Since the gun has been transferred It will need to go back to century, If they are not able to fix or replace it then they will provide a credit to our account and we will in turn credit you."
  16. I am waiting on the owner of the vendor to approve a refund. Should know something by the end of the day. Century has sent an RMA but I DO NOT have to pay shipping. That is why I just want to get a refund. If I send it to Century they said it could take up to four months to get any refund or credit. With the way things are going politically by the time I get a refund of credit we might see a drought like right after Obama got elected. AKs seem to be getting harder and are to find.   Edited to add the bold red above.
  17. My bank will not let me dispute the charges. Called this morning and they said they could request a refund but if the vendor said no they said they could do nothing else. It was bought with a MasterCard so I don't understand why they won't.
  18. I am sure we will have the discussion again before I settle for store credit.
  19. Century is going to take the gun back to see if it can be repaired.    The shop has already said I will not get a refund for the firearm. They said I would only get store credit. This is a shop I have bought at least 8 guns from in the last two years. I have already told them if they are not going to give me a refund they lost a customer. Normally store credit would not be an issue but the store is out of stock of everything except IOR guns which are junk.
  20. The front sight is canted to the left and the gun still shoots WAY to the left. If the sight is just straightened up it would make it shoot even more to the left. There is no easy way to fix this gun.   I know how to fix the canted sight issue. You remove the pins then square the front sight up then redrill for slightly larger pins, easy. Problem is the gun is already shooting left with the front sight canted to the left. If I square the front sight it would only make it shoot even more left.
  21. I paid with credit card. I will see what they say in the morning before I file a dispute.
  22. So I order the Century WASR RH10. When I picked it up I noticed the sights were a little off so I wasn't worried about it. I can straighten canted sights as long as they are not too far out of whack. Well these ones are REALLY out of whack. I have notified the seller and Century. We shall see what happens. The seller said it will be a while before it is resolved, two months, and then I only get a credit in a store that does not have anything else I want. I am starting to feel screwed because I cannot get a refund. It has an adjustable rear sight and this is what it took to get on paper at 15 yards. All the way to the right and then it was only about 1/3 from the left edge of the sheet of paper. You cannot even shoulder it and get the sights lined up. You need to kind of lean over the gun to see the front and rear sights at the same time. And even though the front sight is centered there is no way I will get enough adjustment to get this thing zeroed at 25 yards. Anybody here consider this acceptable for an $800 AK? I sure as hell don't.
  23.   That is such a great deal I went ahead and picked one up. Should work great on my 300 Blackout.
  24. Wow, I know toddlers can get annoying but..... Seriously though, are you wanting a red dot or manified optics?
