Might want to look at selling it. I do believe Norinco MAK-90's are ban compliant guns. I do know that some can bring some very high prices. Dolomite

Firearms confiscation. How would it go down?
Dolomite_supafly replied to timcar86's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If the government announed that EVERYONE in the nation must turn in their firearms or face serious jail time this is how I see things happening. 90% of the gun owners will, without question, show up at collection centers and turn in their firearms. 9% will hide their guns deep in some far away place. 1% will stand up and fight with everything they have. And regardless of which group you are in the reason is the same, fear of the government. Dolomite -
Bolt speed I am sure. But I cannot say for sure. I do know that most match shooters will load their first round by hand then top off the magazine. Fire a "sighter" then have 10 more for record fire. Dolomite

Do not clean your barrel unless accuracy get miserable. Rimfires will shoot for thousands upon thousands of rounds without cleaning. Your first shot is normally off by a bit because it is hand cycled while all the rest are chambered by the gun cycling. When chambering make sure the gun is level and on target. If the muzzle it pointed up or down when chambering it will affect the consistency If you are swapping between brands you need to give yourself about 25 rounds to foul with the new ammo. Some ammo doesn't play well with the lube of other brands. To settle the barrel harmonics down do this. Take a foam earplug. Cut it in half and place it between the barrel and stock in the barrel channel of the stock. Place it about an inch away from the end of the stock. This should settle down the groups some. If you really want to tweak the shoot 25 rounds in 5 shot groups and get and idea of accuracy. Then move that foam earplug an inch closer to the receiver and shoot another 25 rounds. Then move the foam earplug again. Somewhere between the end of the stock and the V block the gun will really settle down with the ammo you are using. If you change ammo you need to do this again to tweak the most accuracy out of the gun. To get rid of a lot of the flyers have your bolt headspaced. Most Ruger bolts are headspaced at .0450". Most rimfire rims are .0420 and .003" is a lot when you are squeezing the most out of your gun. And when they headspace your bolt they will also pin the firing pin which also helps to remove inconsistencies. Randy at CPC is about the cheapest and BEST there is. It will cost you under $60 to have it done but well worth the money if accuracy is important. Dolomite

I had a Linksys wrt54g and I had useable signal strength that was over 300 feet in every direction. So the routers will reach. It is likely building construction that is going to be the limiting factor. Also, microwaves and cell phone boosters can affect a wireless networks performance. We had one router that would become very limited anytime a microwave was run. Dolomite

Buy a bare bones 10/22, the cheaper the better. Replace the hammer with a VQ hammer. It is extremely easy to replace. The remove the factory sights and put the Tech Sights on the gun.The Tech Sights are an AR-15 style sight that has quick and easy adjustments compared to the Ruger sights. The Tech SIghts are also a much better sight picture. All of this will turn your 10/22 into a Appleseed shooter. This same recipe has been used by a lot of Appleseed shooters. http://www.tech-sights.com/ http://www.rimfiresports.com/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RSC&Product_Code=VC10TH Dolomite

Actually a MIL is 3.6" at 100 yards, not 1". And each round dot in a standard MILDOT reticle is .20 MIL or .72" at 100 yards. And all this is with a second focal plane scope on the correct magnification setting. In a second focal plane scope the image changes but the reticle stays the same. On a first focal plane scope magnification changes also apply to the reticle so the reticle stays the same relative to the magnified image.. MOA might be what you are thinking about because it is close to 1" at 1.047" at 100 yards. Dolomite

Predator Custom Shop is a great place to have work done. The smith is Bob Howard and he is an absolute master at doing triggers on most guns. He is also amazing with 1911's. They have some of the fastest turn around times as well as reasonable prices. Dolomite

Does it have a cut in the barrel for a rear sight? If so give me a call sometime. Dolomite

I cast everything I shoot except 223. My 45 ACP loads cost me under .07 a round. My 9mm is under .05 a round. My 300 Blackout is running .06 a round. I have pushed the limit with 175g cast loads in my 300 and had ZERO leading. The key is the lube. Even before I started casting I would tumble lube the bullets I bought. Cast bullets you buy are lubed for looks, not performance. They are also too hard in most cases to make sure the bullets look pretty when they arrive. Hard for me to not to when it is cheaper than most quality 22 ammunition. Dolomite

LOL, I have lead spots on my ceiling from the same thing. I have had to pick lead out of my hair. I also have several old shirts that have lead spots. The worst was when a lead ball splattered into a long sleeved shirt and rolled down my arm. I had a nice little red line. Dolomite

Iphone because of this and this alone: http://ballistic.zdziarski.com/ I use it every time I shoot and it is amazing how well it works. Get the AE version and don't look back. I have had several Iphones and they are great. Very easy to use and have very little issues. I have had one that had a battery issue and it was replaced free of charge. Dolomite

+1 Almost every time they will not deal with a thrird party unless it is an attorney. Speaking of attorneys, might be time to retain one because things can go south. It would be really bad to go from having a suspended HCP to having to spend a few months, or longer, in jail. Dolomite

A new model or older model? They recently started making them again. If it is an older model I would venture a guess of 12 twist. Dolomite

Littering is a misdemeanor so the officers need to witness it, like running a stop sign. The officers could go out to the location and find something with the name and address on it. Dolomite

He is not an idiot, actually quite genius. What better way to get rid of your trash than to scatter it on a roadway for others to pick up. I mean he doesn't ahve to pay for disposal and he doesn't need to make a trip to the local trash center. With that being said I would love to kick this guy in the nuts. And not just a light kicking but a full fledged, going top pull a hamstring, kick to the gonads. Not as dramatic as a type Darwin award recipient but should still serve the same purpose. There actually is a Tennessee website where you can report things like this. And if you provide a license plate number the state will get in contact with them. They will not receive a violation but they will receive a "I am watching you litter" letter. Dolomite

Don't worry about fire forming. The process of sizing works great and I can't see a difference between sized and fired brass. The reason to fireform is to gain extra capacity. No amount of fireforming is going to give you extra case capacity with the 300. Dolomite -
Which Gordon you talking about? Me or someone else? I like my 1911 a lot. Over 3,000 trouble free rounds through it now. Dolomite

And D&T has some of the best prices I have seen in a very, very long time. Dolomite

You would be surprized how many high end guns have MIM parts now. As long as the MIM parts are made with quality in mind they are fine. With that being said I replace all the MIM parts with forged parts. Dolomite

I have bought quite a few from this seller on Ebay. The springs are NEW quality pieces. http://www.ebay.com/...=item3f18c5744e And for $5.99 shipped they are hard to beat. No need to spend $10 or more on replacement springs. Dolomite
