  1. I will trade the 45 with you.
  2. How often you going to shoot it on DA?   I think the single action is very nice for what the gun is.
  3. I have seen dealers with a $900 price tag on them.
  4. When I was in they did not forbide or prevent any individual from paying as an individual, which is how it should be. We had Muslims praying at their designated times as well as Christians praying before they ate. And yes it happened in the same hole by different religions. And no one had issue with that from what I seen. I do not see this changing because it works and works well. It is someone trying to create an issue from nothing and if that person is in the military they should be in trouble for trying to create animosity within the military. The military would loose effectiveness if it supported only one religion.
  5. I will still lend stuff out but I guarantee it won't be the stuff worth $100+ I have in the past. I am probably only going to lend out stuff I have duplicates of if I don't get my stuff back. I got a PM ffrom the officer friend and he said he has been telling his brother for over a month now I want me stuff back. His brother keeps on making excuses why he can't give me my stuff back. It is just upsetting that it is gun people, who should be sticking together, who are screwing over other gun people. Seems like friendships aren't worth much to some folks if they are throwing it away over a box of ammo or a gun part.
  6. BTW, Sour Kraut is German so I would think if she isn't offended no one should be.
  7. Or at 200. I shoot steel at 200 yards with my 22lr. It is fun when the steel rings close to a second later.
  8. I personally believe that these wallet holsters are illegal and thought so when I seen them in a flyer a few months back.   The basic rule is if a gun doesn't look like a gun then it is a AOW. Like those briefcase guns are AOWs and pen guns are also AOWs now. I would really like to make a threaded pen gun for my suppressor but not going to spend $200 on what would amount to a useless toy.
  9. I recently helped a neighbor who is LE. Lent him some mags a few months back and gave him reloading supplies recently because he couldn't find either. Not a call since. As a matter of fact I suspect the reason he isn't calling is his brother is going to screw me out of a set of quad rails and sights I lent him when he couldn't get any. So much for trusting that LE officer now. Going to demand my stuff but after that there isn't much I can do. I help people out all the time but recent events have made it easier for some people to apparently do underhanded stuff to screw me over. Definitely making me rethink helping people by lending them stuff I don't want to loose.
  10. That is pretty cool. Not $130 cool but cool none the less.
  11. If there is anything you can think of I can help your friend regain some enthusiasm please feel free to ask. I can honestly say I got in a funk about guns in 2003 and sold everything I owned except a gun or maybe two so I know how it feels.   I don't have a lot of 22lr left but if there is something else he might need please ask.
  12. Forget about the oil. Use a good quality grease like TW25 or even some cheap molybendum disulfide grease from Walmart. I can buy a tube of the moly grease for under $5 and I will probably have to will it to relatives when I die.
  13. And some even suggest manually racking the gun a few thousand times to help the cycling of a new gun. This probably works because it slightly weakens a brand new spring.
  14. The ammo is the problem. I have seen several people have problems with the P95 and cheap ammo. Might try cleaning it really well then some quality grease.   To clean hose it down with WD40 the wipe it down and use air to blow it out from the internals. Add oil to the internals and grease to the frame rail and locking lugs.
  15. I think using hydrogen would be a lot more fun than helium for ballons. Imagine the fun of holding a candle to a hydrogen filled ballon.
  16. This is what you get when you vote based only on the letter next to a candidates name.
  17. Heck, I would like to know who was throwing ammo away. He used, what, $10 worth of ammo to hurt himself.   I will say that this is one of the dumb criminals.
  18.   They have an agreement with resellers inside the state.
  19. I agree that most laws on the books to protect ourselves from ourselves should not be on there. If I want to smoke, shoot up or swallow any substance, illegal or not, I should be able to. Just for the record I do none of those things and never have. I believe MJ should be perfectly legal if for nothing else to free up prison space. Hold the person accountable only when there is a victim. I have never liked any of those laws on the books to protect ourselves. Should be survival of the fittest and smartest, if you are too dumb to realize that too much of XXXXX is going to kill you then that is your fault.   Might be a little harsh for first time offenders but if jail was really harsh they might consider doing anything to stay out of jail, including cleaning up their act. Joe Arpaio believes in the philosophy and I honestly believe it helps prevent some small time criminals from progressing into more hardened criminals. And it isn't like most criminals these days spend a fair amount of their sentence behind bars so make it harsh while they are. And those that got arrested for minor offenses are not likely to stay in jail anyways.   I have said for a llong time, on here too, that executions should be televised. Most occur around midnight so those you don't want watching should be in bed anyways. They need to show the execution as well as the clean up afterwards.    I will concede that maybe I went overboard on not allowing a mattress.   It isn't that hard to not break the law, millions of people do it every day.
  20. How are you ordering from Natchez?   They will not deliver to anyone in TN.
  21. I will pay you for any small primer 45 you have. I use small rifle primers in them for my 1911.
  22. I normally setup some lines at 100 yards to confirm the correct magnification for ranging. Then I use a sall drill bit to put a small silver dot at the correct setting.
  23. The scopes will be there. Never dig into savings for a want.   I just got done putting together my "short range" gun. A left handed Savage short action chambered in 300 Blackout. It has a 17" barrel that is 1" bull. It is threaded on the end for a suppressor and the barrel is 8 twist so I can shoot HEAVY bullets at subsonic vleocities. I should be able to ring steel out to 300 yards with the subsonics and 500 with supers, if I ever shoot a supersonic.   Now I need to find a decent scope for mine. I have a brand new P300 scope Nikon sent me to try out before they were released. I don't like it because it isn't going to work well for subsonics. What it will probably get is a 3-12 Hawke with a mildot reticle for now.
  24. Those are great. Both have plenty of adjustment and both are MIL/MIL FFP. They would definitely work with your 20 MOA rail.   The reason you want the same adjustment and the same reticle is for corrections on the fly. With a MIL/MIL setup all you need to do is dial the difference. If the shot lands .7 mil low on the reticle you add .7 mil to the turrets. If the turrets are MOA and the reticle is MIL you have to do some funky conversion to make adjustments on the fly.   Also, mil is the easiest to range with. Basically you take the known height/width of the target and multiply by 1,000. Then you divide that number by the number of mils the cover the target. Example: You have a 1.5 meter tall target. Multiply by 1,000 and that gives you 1,500. Now if 3 dots cover the target then the distance is 500 yards, or if 5 dots cover the target it is 300 yards. And whatever the input is that is what the output is, yards in yards out, meters in meters out and even feet. I am amble to do the math in my head most days.
