His antics are going to cost us all with stiffer or more ridiculous laws.

He is right in the fact the forms used for NFA items are tax documents and they are protected in the same way your tax returns are. LE can ask to see your tax returns but you do not have to show them. NFA paperwork is the same because the NFA paperwork is a tax document. LE can ask to see your NFA paperwork but you are not required to show them because it is a protected tax document. I carry copies anyways and show it when asked just to avoid the hassle but in all actuality those who are authorized to demand to view my NFA paperwork would want to see the original, not a copy.

The evidence will come out in the Grand Jury and at trial if it makes it there.

I walked in while in LE uniform to buy ammo after 10pm. They wouldn't sell it to me stating it was their policy. I had to go back in the morning to buy the ammo I needed. Pretty sure it is a nationwide policy.

Hey, hey hey. Do you really think that is appropriate? I mean why would you want to insult and innocent pig by associating it with Piers?

If you want a car the is invisible to LE get a Crown Victoria of 1999 and later. And make sure it isn't white and that the grill is blacked out. I owned one and never got pulled over in it. My son now has it and drives it briskly but never gets pulled over. He has a clean haircut because he is in the military so I assume most LE think he is a fellow LE. I know they would wave at me as we went the opposite direction even if I was going above the speed limit.

Need some help with some long range shooting/hunting

I have quit using anything any more. I used to soot my molds but there is no need IMHO. I do take some Flitz and a Q-tip and polish the inside though. Takes about 30 minutes then I clean it real good with Dawn and a toothbrush. I then use more Q-tips to remove any water in the mold to prevent water spots. Let me guess Lee molds? They can be just enough off center to cause the bullet to hang up.

I have zero intentions of going anywhere. Anyone come to MY place and try to take something, even if I have plenty, will be met with an overwhelming amount of force. Bugging in has some real advantages and if I lived in a city I would, without a doubt, stay put. First is you already have everything you are going to have without the need to transport it to a new location. You can call for help from those around you while in a remote location you cannot call for help. Another big advantage is you know the area. You also know who friend and who foe is or at least have a good idea. Travelling exposes you to more dangers. It is also easier to defend a building or high rise than a tent in the woods. Those buildings are going to protect you from the elements and be easier to keep warm in and survive in for the average person especially those used to living in the city. Food, at least initially, will be easier to come by in the cities as well as potable water. There are literally a few weeks worth of potable water in your water heater and toilet bowls and that is if you don't ration. With rain gutters, collecting water is much easier too. And as disgusting as it might sound cities have tons of rodents that can be harvested for food. If any type of relief or supplies is handed out it is going to be in the population centers first. The average person is going to have a far easier time surviving in the city than in the "hills".

I use two different things on my guns. First is a grease containing moybendum disulfide. You can buy a lifetime supply of it at Walmart for under $5. It is used on parts that need grease like 1911 slides or on the hammer/sear. The second thing I use is a 50/50 mix of automatic transmission fluid and synthetic 30 weight oil. If I want it to cut carbon and crude a bit more I add about 10% of injector cleaner. It seems to lift the carbon and suspend it in the mix. Best part you can make a 1/2 gallon of the stuff for under $10. Been using the combination of these two for at least a decade without any problems.

Dish network is broadcasting terrorist propaganda
Dolomite_supafly replied to dralarms's topic in General Chat
+1 Al Jazeera has been on dish for at least 4 years and probably longer. Not Al Jazeera American but standard Al Jazeera and I watch it anytime I see it on. And, like TMF, I find it just as good as American news station and probably better than most. I for one welcome another news station, especially one that may not hold the same allegiances as the American news stations. Overseas you see unbiased news regarding America. It is amazing how much fluff and biased reporting there is over here by ALL of the networks. I consider most news stations over here as entertainment any more because they will do and say whatever they need to to hold an audience. Our news stations are like a version of Honey Boo Boo that has been dumbed down for the masses. I suggest you watch Al Jazeera a few times before you claim it is a terrorist network. You might even like it better than the news station you are watching now. -
And I would like to see a 10" rat, not including the tail. It would be the biggest I have ever seen in the states.

I carried G17's and G19's overseas. Despite the talcum powder like dust as well as the dirt they always went bang. They don't need to be cleaned constantly to be reliable either. I had a friend who would put 5K rounds through his every trip and never had a single malfunction caused by the gun. The G19 is perfect second to the G17.

DOD leave for same-sex marriage criticized
Dolomite_supafly replied to TSprint1's topic in General Chat
The gay community will demand 10 days of "Adoption Leave" because 1/2 of them can't have kids. When I was in you took leave for everything. I can remember when my son was expected to be born I had to fill out a leave form and left the dates blank. The only free leave was for the death of an immediate family member, mother or father or siblings, and only after the Red Cross called the commander. The biggest problem I have with free leave is there are those who will lie to get it while those who are honest won't and take up the slack for those that will. -
We had one guy try to be tacticool and camo his AR with duct tape. Wrapped the barrel all the way to the end. We even tried to warn him but he didn't listen. He realized how much of a mistake it was when we went to zero. I don't think he ever got all that crap off the barrel. It sure as hell smoked a lot after the first mag.

I think that is OhShoot's van!

Also look at US Optics, they are made to order and some of the best scopes out there. The high end Vortex scopes are also getting a decent following.

You are right and it is wrong. No one should be given anything extra that no other person has a right to get. If they want to grant 7 days of free leave to same sex couple to get married then hetero couples should be given the same leave. They should call it marriage leave and let anyone have it who is getting married. If they don't get married then they get charged for those days. Or how about this, let them accrue leave to get married. -

And I will shut it down as soon as it takes a turn south and the same people start their same antics. -
I have left very few jobs and every single time it was a big decision. But I will say that in most cases you can find a better job than you have if you are patient and look. Better for some is pay, for others is is enjoyment and for others it is the benefits. For me it was, and almost always has been, for the enjoyment of doing the job. Doing a job I enjoy was my holy grail and I found mine eventually but it is also the one that forced me to "retire". I have, on occassion, walked away from a job without a plan but I was lucky it has always worked out. I would never recommend quitting a job without a plan. Glad you found a job a you like.

Leave is leave regardless of the reason. I can guarantee they do not get free or some special kind of leave because they are gay. They are getting the same kind of leave as any other service member. What is wrong with this statement? "It is now the department's policy to treat all married military personnel equally," I see nothing wrong with the statement or the policy. -

I take it you are not using an Apple phone? Most people who use Shooter are on Android based phones. -

What app are you running? I would suggest getting Ballistic FTE (Now AE) and use it. It takes into account for the rotation of the earth, the altitude, humidity, temperature as well as several otehr very important factors. Basically you zero your gun here. Chronograph your load. Input the zero data, what bullet and how fast it is going. You also input your zero weather (it does this automatically). Then when you get where you are going you open the app and hit a location button. It automatically populates all the weather data and automatically changes the trajectory for where you are now. It is an amazing piece of software that works great. I have had and used it for about 5 years now. You might have to manually input the direction you are shooting for it to take into account the Earth's rotation but other than that the trajectory is done. It will also take into account if you are shooting up or down hill. It has a hud that allows you to make distance and wind changes on the fly. It even allows you to setup multiple wind directions between you and the target if there are differing wind conditions. I think it is $20 to download to a Apple product. And even if you don't have one I suggest finding a used Iphone and getting it. http://ballistic.zdziarski.com/
