I found this and not sure how long it will be publically posted. http://sierrabullets.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/300-aac-blackout.pdf It is the first time I have seen Sierra load data for the 300 Blackout It is different than Sierra's 300 Whisper load data. I will say that the Whisper load data has more options and works for a 300 Blackout but may not cycle all AR's. The Whisper data works with my AR but it will cycle with a lot more powders than most Blackout AR's too. The load data provided by Sierra for the Blackout was tested in an AR. Unfortunately it doesn't have subsonic load data. Make sure to save yourself a copy because this is some great information. BTW, the PDF above is linked from here: http://sierrabullets.wordpress.com/2013/07/17/300-aac-blackout-medium-length-gas-tube/

You have more than one door in your vehicle. A 16" upper would easily fit inside most doors.

Actually Form 3 transfers between dealers are being done electronically and taking less than a week. Also, trusts were being done the same way and taking the same amount of time, at least until Obama's recent EO. Now that fingerprints need to be submitted with trusts it is going to take as long as "normal". The electronic Form 3 transfers is a rather recent development and still has some bugs in it but it is still better than the 1+ month wait that normally happens. As far as someone having a "instant" check to walk out with a silencer that is a pipe dream. It never happened, at least not legally. If you have the person's contact info PM me I would like to hear the specifics about it. As much as I would like to see it happen it never will because of the requirement for fingerprints. If they could do away with the fingerprint requirement it could be done electronically.

The best and most accurate .22 LR rifle ??
Dolomite_supafly replied to itw69fxst's topic in Long Guns
The difference between a Savage and a CZ is the feel, not the accuracy. Both shoot as well as the other but the Savage doesn't have the same, high quality feel a CZ does. -

I wasn't trying to be an ass and was just hoping it would go on and be forgotten. Not the case. The reason we do this is because it is not fair for our vendors, who support this site in more ways than most know, to have to compete with someone who hasn't even paid a single cent towards supporting this site. We cannot allow this to happen, even once, otherwise this place will get over run with advertising. And think about this, without those who choose to support the site we may not have a place for us all to come together. The OP of the other thread got a PM explaining the rules and what he, or his boss, can do to help support the site. This will allow him to advertise and in return we will support them. I welcome them in becoming a vendor but until they do they will nto be allowed to advertise. -

And yes, I am the big douchebag that decided to enforce our rules. No unauthorized soliciting. If you are interested in taking advantage of that while helping support this community, contact us and let us know. Unapproved commercial advertising should never be posted by members of our community. This means that unless you have sought authorization from the TGO Staff to post a commercial advertisement for goods or services, you may not use advertising language in posts made to the forums. Specifically: No advertising language, links, banners, images, etc. in posts No advertising language, links, banners, images, etc. in signatures No sending unsolicited private messages (PMs) to members with any of the above in it -

The best and most accurate .22 LR rifle ??
Dolomite_supafly replied to itw69fxst's topic in Long Guns
The CZ455 is getting great reviews. It also has replaceable barrels and is substantially less than the Sako. For the ultimate in 22 accuracy you need to forget about a semi auto and I have a very accurate semi auto. Don't care what semi auto it is a bolt gun is going to be more accurate. The bolt on a semi auto can change the speed at which it cycles based on how crudy the gun gets. The amount of resistance the bolt excerts upon firing also changes as the gun gets dirty. It may not seem like much but a bolt that starts to move later because it is dirty increases the bullets velocity. And ANY changes, shot to shot, affect accuracy. With a bolt gun there are none of this and all of the pressure go towards the bullet making it out the barrel. -

The hook goes under the arm at the arm pit to keep the front heavy gun from tilter forward. -
The best and most accurate .22 LR rifle ??

Got to realize these shooters have about an inch of padding to isolate their heartbeat from the gun. It could be made of barbed wire and nails and the shooter would not know the difference. They also only hold the rifle up for about a second at a time most cases. -
Ok, I misread that you were having the same problem with your empty brass. What kind of dies are you using? Also, when sizing does the die itself touch the shell holder? The die MUST bottom out on the shell holder. Knocking the primer out is not enough, the sizing die must go all the way to the bottom.

Without doing a casting of your chamber there is no easy way to see how big the throat is. I have seen guns without a throat at all and just a slight chamfer of the rifling. I would be willing to bet if you seated all your loaded bullets deeper by .02" your problem will disappear or less obvious.

And you think Republicans are going to help us? They have done more harm to our personal liberties than most of the Democrats. Between the Patriot Act and all other kinds of "monitoring" programs the Republicans have taken away a lot of our privacy. They are always the ones pushing for more spying in the name of our security and who do you think they spy on? Every major program or law invading our privacy has been started by a "Republican". I suggest one single thing to fix a lot of our problems and if everyone did it the country would be a better place. Vote out any incumbent and if that means voting in a Democrat so be it. Once they realize they might actually have to go back to work or open a business they might change the laws that affect other business owners. Look at the voting record of most first term representatives. They almost always vote with the country's welfare in mind but a term or two later they have turned and begin supporting their own agenda. If we can get a government of all first termers the laws being passed or repealed would improve the country. I can honestly say I will NEVER vote for another politician that is in office at the time of the election. I will never again vote blindly for a candidate based on a letter next tot their name. And I honestly believe the best thing the country could do is remove the "R" or "D" next to a name on ANY ballot up for public vote. We love to blame the president but the he didn't pass this. It was OUR representatives that did. Our representatives are responsible for every single piece of legislation, not the president. And who do you think picked those representatives? It was the citizens of this country. So if anyone wants to blame someone for a piece of legislation they don't agree with I suggest they get up off their seat, walk into their bathroom and stand squarely in front of their mirror and accept repsonsibility. Then take that anger and turn it into action. People want to complain but do not want to put forth the effort to ensure the representatives up for election do represent them. We do not make calls, do not volunteer, do not engage people in conversation or donate to those we want to win. Then when we don't get to vote for the person we didn't support we refuse to vote in protest. How many of us actually did ANYTHING to help their chosen candidate? If you want to change the country it takes more just waiting to see if the person is on the ballot is someone you would vote for. That is why the liberals have us beat and always will as long a we don't do the same. They get out and talk to people, they organize, they donate and they are very vocal. On the other hand Republicans sit in silence as their means of protest. I suggest we all take our angst and become more outspoken. Call your candidate and voice your support. Contact others and let them know who your support. Volunteer or donate to show your support. Heck, a few emails a day will go a long way. This will do more than sitting in silence waiting to vote for a candidate that has ZERO chance of winning against a candidate that is organized much better than we are. Sitting around doing nothing accomplishes nothing. There is no law that says you can only support the candidate that represents you or your state. Because we are predominantly conservative we think we can sit back and relax but at some point we will be fighting the same fight some other states are right now. I suggest we start contacting candidates in other states and see how we can support them. That is the only way WE are going to change things in the country. We cannot sit back and wait until the fight is inside our state. Find a candidate, in this state or another, and support them. Do not wait until the election to show your support.

How is the video quality? Will it support HD? It is at the top of the list to buy now. My wife and I watch a lot of NetFlix and this would make life a lot easier on us.

Anyone tried oven canning dry goods?
Dolomite_supafly replied to JAB's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I use dry ice to remove oxygen from containers. Basically drop a piece of dry ice in the bottom then fill the container. Let it set for 24 hours for the dry ice to turn into Co2 and displace the O2 then seal. DO NOT SEAL IMMEDIATELY OR THE CONTAINER WILL EXPLODE. I used this method with larger containers. You can buy enough dry ice to do a 25 gallon container for a buck or two. -
There are plenty of things to build a float laying around. Plastic water or soda bottles with lids make great floats once you have enough. I bet you could float a person with 25 stuffed inside a shirt or something. And they could double for water storage between water crossings. The vacuum seal bags aren't very expensive http://www.amazon.com/Wholesale-Vacuum-Storage-Medium-Travel/dp/B0035Z9CYM/ref=lp_3744541_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1378469922&sr=1-3 And here is a cheap and easy way to make a hand operated pump to either push or pull air or water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaho7JSVS1I And to make the one way valves: http://youtu.be/DG6own141z0 Hate to say it but you are overstepping your bounds if you are telling another man, your son in law, how to take care of HIS family. I know a lot say the children were their family first but that doesn't matter once they leave your home and begin their own family. Making your daughter live in between you two is very stressful and can cause problems with her family. If you have an issue with your son in law, and how he chooses to live, why not find somewhere else to store your stuff. Why risk loosing all your supplies when he tells you that you are not welcome at their house. How do you plan on getting your supplies back if he won't let you? How are you even going to prove that stuff is even yours? It already sounds like there is some tension in the household over your storage or your "suggestions" on how he should take care of his family. If a member of the "team" is not 100% on board you need to replace them. I know if my father, or anyone else, showed up trying to tell me what to do concerning my family I would send them on their way. Family or not I would do it with force if necessary. No one, especially my family, is going to tell me how my family and I are going to live and prepare or if we choose to prepare at all.

The only place where bird flu is common is where we are going to be getting our chicken from. This is not good. I can see a pandemic in the US because of this. -
I would go buy a pistol, preferably a Glock, I would vacuum seal it in a bag with 2-3 loaded magazines. Wrap it in a cloth and duct tape to prevent rubbing holes in the bag then I would then stick it somwhere your employers would never look. Inside the door behind the door panel is a place your employer would never risk damaging to inspect your car. If you need your gun you would care less about damaging the door panel to get to it. If they use dogs to search for weapons then run the sealed bag through a dishwashing cycle and wash your hands before handling the sealed bag again. You would be surprized what all can fit inside the various areas of your car. But the most important thing about this plan? Shut your mouth about it. Then I would make sure to have a bag with the supplies you think you will need for 2x-3x the estimated time it will take. Don't plan for the best, plan for the worst. That is probably the biggest mistake most people make, they plan for ideal conditions. Water and food consumtion changes with the weather. Also, the amount of people you might meet will also depend on the weather. If something happens I am not going anywhere. If I am in town, and 20 miles away, I will go as fast as I can to get home. We are rarely more than 20 miles away from home ever and even under a worst case scenario that is a days travel.

I am a huge fan of th blaxploitation films of the 70's especially those with Rudy Ray Moore like Dolomite. Even the names of the films can be quit entertaining: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_blaxploitation_films Here is a short film in the same style as most of the blaxploitation films. http://youtu.be/yax7bXcykzk And for anyone who has and hour and a half to kill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1JkNKL1BwE Can you dig it?
