The problem isn't a few rifles being repaired but all Remington 700's built for the last 8 years. So I bet they are getting in hundreds of guns a week and I guarantee they are not repairing hundreds of guns a week. I would like to hear from someone who sent in a R700 for the recall and see how long it took.

The total works out to $306 plus shipping for an AAC 9mm can. The reason is because AAC has a $200 transfer credit on this can until 7/5/2014. This is like getting this can for $106 plus shipping. Had I really had a use for a 9mm can I would be all over this. http://www.silencershop.com/shop/aac-evolution-9/ If you were on the fence this is the perfect time to get into the NFA world for CHEAP. And here is the credit information. http://www.silencershop.com/aac-damn-the-man/

Henry make a clamp on sling attachment. It is for 6 position tubes but it should work for a rifle tube as well. Mission First Tactical makes one.

Depends on OAL. If it is 26" or more then a vertical forward grip is fine.

Bend the hammer legs about 30 degrees. This will reduce the trigger pull without affecting reliability. If it does have a problem with light strikes just straighten out the legs some. As far as the trigger kits go they are no longer available. Joe Bob Outfitters makes a similar kit and although it is not as cheap it does the same exact thing. http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/JoeBob_s_Trigger_Adjuster_p/jb-triggeradjuster.htm

We have a pair of hawks that have built a nest in the same place for about 6 years now. They generally only have one baby. Then in June or July you hear the baby frantically calling for his parents for a few weeks before it flies off. I haven't seen them yet this year so they may not be coming back. I will know of they have snuck in come June or July. Last year I watched a bunch of male hawks fighting amongst themselves, presumably for breeding rights. That was an amazing sight.

Before anyone asks: http://cbcindllc.com/product/ar-15-m4-10-5-17-barrel/

Plus there are some 300 Blackout barrels out there that ARE threaded 1/2-28 at the muzzle. I have been hunting another barrel for the past few days and it is amazing what is available now. I found brand new barrels for $99.

Considering they have conflicting numbers in a single sentence I would say so. 18 killed then towards the end of the sentence they say 16.

Just had the meteorologist on a local channel warn people about flooding. He wanted to remind everyone that because car tires are filled with air your car will float away if the water is too deep. I kind of chuckled. I guess it might if you are in a monster truck. It is going to be a long night for me. I am bordered by trees on the back side of my house so winds are always a worry.

Knox County Sherriffs Deputy chokes out handcuffed suspect.
Dolomite_supafly replied to 10-Ring's topic in General Chat
I would be willing to bet there have been other problems with the officer. There have been other officers do far worse that were not fired as quickly. Anyone can go down to the merit counsel and look at his, or any other officer's, personnel file. I wonder if he was actually fired or was allowed to resign. I have known several officers that were allowed to resign, rather than be fired, and were given letters of recommendation. And honestly if he was still under the old retirement system he probably has enough in the account to retire anyways. About 7 years ago they went to a new retirement which did away with savings accounts but officers had to choose either the old or new system. Most of the older officers stayed with the savings account system because of how much they had in them. -
Off to buy some milk, bread and eggs incase it is really, really bad this time. :)

We will NOT being going into why anyone is banned. The punishments handed out are between the staff and the member. If the member chooses to talk about it that is fine but we, as staff, will not discuss it. With that being said we sometimes find it in the best interest of the board to remove members here before they are able to do harm. To all onlookers it may seem as though some members did nothing wrong but I can assure you that those who were banned were banned for good reason. And in some cases it doesn't mean they did anything wrong on TGO but was done to prevent potential harm to the board or its members. We as moderators are here to protect the board and hopefully protect its members, especially so if TGO is used to do the damage. Trust me when I say those that were banned were banned for good reason. We take banning people very seriously and unless it is something major that has to be addressed immediately we, as staff, often discuss what needs to be done. We have been discussing those that were banned for a very, very long time and it became time to act. As far as a list of who is banned and why, I see no need for it. It will not change anything and will only serve to satisfy the curiosity of some. It will also serve to embarrass some who may not wish to have it posted. I know they are already banned but as I said before all punishments, including banning, are between the staff and the member. And just to give you an idea we have 91 pages of banned members with 10 members on each page. That is a HUGE list even if we wanted to post it.

Knox County Sherriffs Deputy chokes out handcuffed suspect.
Dolomite_supafly replied to 10-Ring's topic in General Chat
Ok, if you look at the sequence of photos you will notice the suspects hands are behind his back as he is being handcuffed. Then before he is handcuffed you notice he is pulling his hands away from the officer trying to handcuff him. He may not have started resisting but at some point he made a conscience effort to pull his hands away from the officer doing the handcuffing and that is resisting. In photo three the suspect is leaning forward towards the officer and from personal experience that is what someone does when they are getting ready to spit or are spitting on you. What is the best way to prevent someone from spitting? Cut off their airway. If all that the suspect was doing was running his mouth then the officers are wrong and should be held accountable but if the suspect is attempting to resist arrest, spitting or threatening to spit then I see no problem with what the officer did. Being choked out, properly, is a lot less damaging to the body than being taken to the ground. We have choked out people who were in handcuffs, leg irons and belly chains before because it was less damaging than some of the alternatives. -
QD Swivel Mount on MOE stock?
Dolomite_supafly replied to lshel's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
You will have to file or grind some of the threads off for it to drop in but so far it seems like it is working great. -
Don't need a robot to do all that although a robot would probably be cheaper in the long run.

QD Swivel Mount on MOE stock?
Dolomite_supafly replied to lshel's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I recently bought this: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/314136/grovtec-heavy-duty-push-button-sling-swivel-base-non-rotating-steel-package-of-2 And I epoxied it into my Magpul stock. I like it better because the sling swivel doesn't turn at all. -
How often do you carry?
Dolomite_supafly replied to 10-Ring's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My wife had a group of ladies that were her friends. They all had their HCP but none of them carried and most did not own a gun. They said they got the HCP so they could impress the bartender when he asked for their ID. To them it was more about bragging about having the HCP than actually carrying or protecting themselves or their family. -
I have used Clays, Longshot, HS-6, VV3N38, VV3N37 and Power Pistol for my 9mm. I prefer Power Pistol over all of them. A close second would be 3N38 but that is because you can load a 147 grain bullet to 1,200 fps using it (yes it is listed in their manual). Power Pistol isn't as miserly as some of the other powders I have used but I do like it a lot.

The amount of BS my father, mother and brother have done to us is staggering. I have ZERO contact with any of them now because of what they tried to do to me the last time I talked to them. I will NEVER help them. If they came to my door begging for help I would close the blinds and call 911 rather than let them in. They are sick, twisted people and have been since I was a child. -
Can't beat this for supersonic or suppressed subsonic use. http://www.righttobear.com/CMMG-16-Barrel-4140CM-SBN-300-BLACKOUT-p/30df80a.htm
-
Subsonic ammunition will say it on the side of the box. It is generally over 200 grain bullets. You do not need a new buffer tube.
-
Don't shoot subsonic ammunition.
