It would require some honesty but who ever flags the ad and causes it to be closed down wins something. That is the last person to flag it wins. Not really sure what the prize would be.

AR Bolt Assit Installation

Not sure it is a crack. Either way I would shoot and abuse it. -

Since when did Glock start chambering their guns in 9x21? -

Adam, Gage's owner, has asked that anyone who is giving his local sheriffs office grief over this to stop. He said that one bad apple doesn't ruin the bushel. He is friends with a lot of the officers in the same department as the shooter. Here is Adam's Facebook account where he is giving updates. https://www.facebook.com/theatombomb?fref=ts&ref=br_tf Here is what he posted a little while ago about Gage and his progress:

As long as you have your renewal form from the DMV you can still carry.

.223 / 5.56 / Wylde Head Space gauge needed
Dolomite_supafly replied to Rightwinger's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
The headspace is set at the factory. The ONLY time you need to set the headspace on an AR barrel is if you are the one putting the barrel extension on. You would have to do some serious searching to find an AR barrel that is being sold without an extension installed. Timing a muzzle brake is not an issue. Install a crush washer then tighten until it is where you want it. -
WOW, it wasn't when I posted.

No need to check headspace if the barrel extension is already in place, at least not with 99% of the companies out there. What barrel manufacturer did you buy from? -

Anyone ever order ammo from MunireUSA?
Dolomite_supafly replied to Wingshooter's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
By the way the IP for bootsgal and MunireUSA are not even close. Matter of fact they are not even in the same state. Seems like a lot of work for an employee to do to try to hide their affiliation. Everyone needs to loosen the tin foil up a bit. -
No way I would give 400-500 pieces of brass for a box of ammo. I would say 200-250 would be fair.

Here is a cheaper price on the carrier AND armor. http://www.keepshooting.com/british-osprey-body-armor-kevlar-inserts.html $120 for the carrier and armor.

Asking for a little help please
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Just an update. Along with the gunshot wounds he has developed pneumonia overnight. We are also less than $1,000 away from the goal which will go a long way at making sure he gets the best treatment possible. Again, I would like to thank all of those who gave as well as to those who have spread the word for Gage and his family. -

Asking for a little help please
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I do not want to accept any money on their behalf. I just don't want it to seem as though any money is coming to me. You can also call the vet directly and donate using credit card. -

Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I would like to say publically that I thank all of you who have donated. If there is anything I can do for you, on or off the board, please feel free to ask and I will do what I can to help. Remember this is not for me and I do not receive anything. The money is gong directly to the veterinarian that is caring for Gage. If anyone feels more comfortable giving directly to the vet it is Ayers Animal Clinic located in Huntington, WV. There number is (304) 529-6049. Feel free to call and tell them you want to help out with Gage's vet bill. Remember ANY amount will help Gage and his family make it past this tragedy. Here is a picture when he was brought into the vet after being shot -
Ok I normally do not do this but I felt so strongly about this I figured I would ask for your help. This is not about what an officer has done but is about helping a family get a beloved family member back home to his loving family. If you decide to post ANYTHING negative about LE here I will delete it. Again, this is not about what the officer did but is about helping out Gage and his family. http://www.gofundme.com/9ul7tg I know we have a large group of dog owners and lovers here. Donate what you can because anything will help. If you cannot donate then I ask you to do what you can to help spread the word about Gage and his ever increasing vet bills. This is not my dog but is part of a close knit family of Alapaha bulldog owners. I have donated and will again when I get paid again to help this do and his family out. As of today Gage is sedated with his jaw wired shut as well as being on a feeding tube and his vet bill is rising by the day. Here is a picture of Gage. If you have ANY questions feel free to ask.

Try hitting the bottom of the slide against something hard. Not hard enough to damage it. If you have a rubber mallet you can hit the bottom of the slide. Another option is to stick it in the oven at the lowest setting, the heat might help loosen it.

Yeah. Looks like the plunger spring is missing. Someone probably took the slide apart and didn't realize there should be a spring there. Moving the firing pin in and out should release the plunger. It is possible firing pin spring pressure is holding if down. I am somewhat familiar but not intimately with 80 series guns. I am thinking maybe the firing pin was forward and the plunger locked it forward for a couple of rounds. What you need to do is order the plunger spring for a series 80 1911. As far as how to get the infer to move I would start by removing the firing pin. That does lock the plunger in place if my memory serves me right. I think I had to slowly release the firing pin and the plunger dropped free. Not sure if it will if the spring is missing. If you want I can PM my number and I can try to talk you through it.

"It was Mike Gideon who called" is what I said but what she probably heard "It was My Girlfriend who called". By the way I am glad she didn't ask what you were wearing because had you said "Tan Khakis" she would have really thought something was up. Don't worry, your next trip to K-Town I will remind her it was you that called. :)
-
It sounds like a 70 series. If there is not a button on the bottom of the slide then it is a 70 series. If there is a button, like you see on Glocks, then it is a 80 series. It is normal for the firing pin to fall past the firing pin retainer before it protrudes. The ONLY thing I can see happening is the firing pin hitting the primer and igniting which is extremely unlikely without falling. The other could be a proud primer like you said. If the hammer is not falling then I would try a few other brands of ammo and if it doesn't happen again then I would say it was the ammo. If it does happen again with a different brand I would buy a Ed Brown firing pin and it will come with a new firing pin spring. That should prevent the firing pin from igniting a round.
-
No need to even take the slide off. You can clear the gun and lock it back then remove the firing pin stop. You might have to press on the firing pin safety but I cannot remember exactly.

The phone did actually ring so when you hung before I answered it still woke her up. Now she thinks "Mike Gideon" is code for something else. Oh and the bruising is almost gone. Heck if Bersaguy quit putting "jmho" at the end right now I would investigate his account to make sure it hasn't been hacked.
