I am not looking for increased profit margins. I pulled my ad down the second I heard, not so I can jack the price up but to keep someone from buying it for $1,200 and then taking advantage of panic buyers because of the situation. If I wanted to I could have already sold it for more than $1,200 but I will not sell it right now and if I ever do it will be long after the panic has settled down.

Over 100K of .22LR.......................
Dolomite_supafly replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I generally do. Rarely do I see any 22 priced even remotely normal so it doesn't happen very often. And reasonably priced 22 get snatched up before it gets pulled down but I do my part to keep it our of the hands of those who are buying to resell. -

Stay on top of Armslist in the area and flag every single ad for 22lr. I do it every single day. Eventually these gougers will not be able to sell their ammo at elevated prices putting them in a bind when the credit card bill comes in. I even flag normal priced 22 so the gougers cannot buy it to resell. -
Mine is the 223 version, it will eventually be chambered in 300 Blackout with a 8 twist barrel and threaded for my suppressor. As far as a sig brace I have already looked at the brackets and I can make one to use a pistol tube for under $30. Pig nose adapters can be had for under $20 and with some time welding I am make a decent bracket to thread for the pig nose adapter. If our administration wanted to hit the Russians with economic sanctions that actually hurt they would look at all kinds of stuff other than firearms. Firearms are such a small amount that they will not even bat an eye at it while so many US companies that rely on imported Russian firearms go out of business. Here is a list of imports that would hurt Russia, surprisingly firearms are no where on the list. Russia's exports to America amounted to$27.7 billion or 1.2% of overall US imports. 1. Oil: $19.9 billion 2. Iron and steel: $1.7 billion 3. Inorganic chemicals: $1.4 billion 4. Fertilizers: $887.6 million 5. Gems, precious metals, coins: $819.8 million 6. Aluminum: $538.8 million 7. Fish: $331.1 million 8. Rubber: $250 million 9. Other base metals: $236.6 million 10. Iron or steel products: $193.9 million http://www.worldsrichestcountries.com/top_us_imports.html We are about to see things get a lot worse for everyone, liberals included, because of Obama's deluded agenda. When things get bad who do you think China will side with? Not the US and when our shelves are bare of Chinese products, after they put sanction on us at the request of Russia, we are going to see everyone suffer. Putin has said the US will suffer if we do not lift the sanctions. Seems to me he has more credibility in the international community than our leader.

How was the trip in the ambulance? Are they keeping you overnight for observation? Did they get an orthopedic surgeon to look at it? I hope all those medical bills doesn't financially wreck you. -

how would you have handled this
Dolomite_supafly replied to mossyoak1851's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Here is how I handled the last time someone tried to come in our house. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/58575-an-interesting-night-we-had-last-night/ -
I seen some standard M1A's at the last gun show for less than that. I actually thought to myself they were mismarked because they were so cheap.
-
As far as gun parts go we are in a place we have never been before. The market is flooded with gun parts and they are cheaper than they have ever been. So yes, the bubble has burst. I spend every day searching through AR parts and every day I am amazed at what stuff is selling for. And when parts get cheap then guns get cheap.

It is all coded in Federal Regulations, not ATF policy, so it would take a lot more than just a petition. Heck if the President himself wanted to remove anything from the NFA system he could not do it. Even if the ATF wanted to do away with NFA registration they could not because it is Federal law and that requires legislation to change. Changing the Federal Regulations would require the full support of both houses, as well as the President, to make it happen and that will NEVER happen. You can't get both houses, and the President, to agree on something as serious as a budget. That alone makes me think they would never come together on something small like this. I am glad they have not raised prices to current inflation since 1934. I did the math once and it would be close to $10K rather than $200. Personally ownership of inanimate objects should not be regulated at all. What should be regulated is the person owning the item. That is if I can legally own a single shot 22 I should be able to legally own a 50 BMG machine gun in the same manner. If I want to own a tank, hand grenades or a fighter jet I should be able to if I can own a 22 and if I can afford it. As far as who should be regulated it should NOT be broken down by felonies and misdemeanors. It should be broken down by violent offenders regardless to whether the crime is a misdemeanor or felony. If a person has been convicted of committing a non violent felony they should not be barred from owning a firearm but if a person is convicted of a violent crime, even if it is a misdemeanor, they should not be allowed to own a firearm. The reason is those who have a propensity for violence also have self control issues. Even if the person were sentenced to several decades in jail for a non violent crime they should be able to own a firearm once they have completed all of their sentence including probation. But if a person was convicted and sentenced to a day in jail for a violent crime. even if it is a misdemeanor, they should not be allowed to own a firearm. As far as the mentally ill it should also be about violence. If someone with a mental defect has never shown a propensity for violence, on or off medication, they should be allowed to own a firearm. Those that have been violent, even if it is currently controlled by medication, should never be allowed to own a firearm until they can live medication free without being violent. And what medication a person may have taken in the past should not be preclude ownership, only actual actions should determine it. There are a lot of people who have been committed for evaluations that will not be allowed to own a firearm even though they were never violent. Imagine loosing a child or a loved one, a lot of people would require some sort of medication or possibly counselling to come to terms with it but were not violent and those imdividuals should not be prevented from owning a firearm. Now those who are banned from firearm ownership should have a means to restore their ability to own a firearm. It will not be quick or easy but it will be possible. And the first criteria should be living as a model citizen for at least a decade after they have completed their sentence. And finally, illegal drug use. The use of illegal drugs should not keep you from owning a firearm unless those drugs are making you violent. Even today there are people getting denied on the background checks because they have been prescribed medical marijuana and then try to buy a firearm. The reason is because marijuana is an illegal drug according to the federal government so when a person, who is using medical marijuana, answers "NO" to the question asking if they are an unlawful user of marijuana they are lying on the form. Until the federal laws are changed any person using marijuana, even for medical reasons, is breaking federal law and that requires a person to answer "YES" to that question. I personally think any and all drugs should be legal so long as it does not affect anyone else. What I ingest in my own home should be my business and no one else's.

So I have known that the design of the 300 Blackout was far from new. It was yet another rework of a previous design. The 300 Blackout is identical, as in the load data and ammunition, to the 300 Whisper or the 300/221. The 300 Whisper was developed by J.D. Jones in the late 80's and early 90's to do the same thing the 300 Blackout is doing today. Even back then users were loading supersonic loads but the majority of users were shooting HEAVY subsonic ammunition. An interesting note is the fact that the majority of 300 Whisper guns used 10 twist barrels and not the 8, 7 or 6.5 twist barrels of the 300 Blackout. And with the 10 twist it worked fine. And the 300 Blackout goes back even farther. Prior to the Whisper you had the 30/357 Paxton which uses a necked down 357 magnum case and is capable of shooting subsonic rounds like the 300 Whisper, 300 blackout or 30/221. Pretty sure the 30/357 Paxton was developed in the 50's. The 30/357 is what people call the 300 Blackout rimmed and although some use trimmed 357 maximum brass to get to the 1.368 case length the case length of the 357 magnum will work just as well. So other than a rim these are identical as far as performance go. And for the longest time I thought this was where the 300 Blackout's lineage stopped, well that ended today. A fellow 300 Blackout shooter had some documents related to the 300 Blackout as pdf's. He uploaded them and as I was reading I found the great grandfather of the 300 Blackout, grandfather to the 300 Whisper and father to both the 30/357 Paxton. And the new relative of the 300 Blackout is the 8x35 Ribeyrolle. It was developed, and rifles chambered for it, in 1917. Ribeyrolle was working with Chauchat and Sutter at the time of its development. It was to be chambered in a full automatic gun designed for trench warfare and was called the "trench broom". And although there were guns produced in the caliber none were ever adopted because is was not accurate at 400 meters. Here is a picture of the 8x35 Ribeyrolle: And anyone who is familiar with the 300 Blackout, 300 Whisper or 30/221 can see the obvious resemblance. I always say there is nothing new as far as cartridges go. Very few cartridges are new and novel anymore. All you need is to go look into the past, copy it and give it a catchy name to make a mint.

I know this will upset you but I will give him thirteen dollars and a firm handshake for it sight unseen. I might even be willing to give a pay on the back and a compliment as well.

The department in the county I live had an incident where an officer shot through a car door and did not kill the bad guy. After that the sheriff demanded, and got, Glocks chambered in 45. He said because the 40S&W they had been using was not capable of going through a car door. Since then I have talked to a lot of these officers that used to be issued the 40S&W Glocks and they can't stand the size and weight of the 45 Glock.

Glad to hear you found her. I worry anytime I can't see either of my babies. We are empty nesters so we dote on our dogs. When Lilly was young we had someone try to dognap her. I called her back before she got to their truck. Had they left with her they would have had a very, very bad day because they were going up a dead end road when they tried. Not sure anyone could dognap Gus or would want to because is a bit intimidating now.

It is not that hard to clean out either. There will be a cover panel on the back with ~10 screws and then under it you will find the duct where the hot air goes from the drum to the hose. The duct has less screws and comes apart easily. I know when I took mine apart the inner duct was FULL of lint even though the hose was fairly clean.

Yeah, dogs do know where they live and will eventually make it home unless some human snatches them up. If there is anything I can do on my end let me know. Might want to post it on social media for your area. BTW, I would reclassify your "trusted" person to something else. I have a few names in mind but I don't want to have to warn myself.
