  1. They do say you have to turn the app off then open it up again when you first do it.   Are you able to connect to the camera's WiFi network? It is under the settings on the iPhone. You connect to the camera like any other network. Then once connected you open the GoPro app, try to connect, but before it does close the app, open it up again and connect. Then it should connect every time after that without the need to restart.   After that you should see what the camera sees but with a 3-4 second delay. You can also change all the camera settings from the iPhone as well.
  2. He was talking about using it as a remote viewer for a target that cannot be seen from the firing line.
  3. I will try it soon. What are the specs on your 300? Barrel length and gas system length.
  4. Anyone know if it is available on DVD or other means. I do not go to the movies.
  5. Also his training partner is drawing on all his years in LE to properly train students. BTW, he joined LE in April of 2014, can he even be out of the academy yet? I can guarantee he is NOT on the road yet because his department requires a year in the jails before you are eligible for the academy.
  6. LOL, I just noticed it now. Glad to see is doing so well he can afford his own training facility. Maybe he has been there when we were there. I know I have seen quite a few "tactical trainers" using that public range.   I just read his BIO and he is "Security Operations Manager with Blacksword Security". Sounds kind of familiar....LOL
  7. Yeah, lets confuse people even more. I just tried aiming with my left eye and I can say it is hard. I guess after 35+ years of shooting it is a hard habit to break.   Every "tactical trainer" has to come up with something that makes them unique. We are in a gold rush, so to speak, of tactical training and all kinds are trying to get their fair share of the pot but very few have, what I feel, are the qualifications to train others. It takes more than 3-4 years in the military and a civilian course or two.    Here is a pretty funny promotional video too.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=JF_4d0FaBHo He is one of our resident "experts" here in East Tennessee. And it seems as though he is a member here but not hanging around or posting. It also says a lot when they are using Highpoints. Now nothing wrong with a Highpoint but it is not something you see all the SEALs, CAG or other SOCOM units using. And I don't care how many times you have cleared a weapon you DO NOT use it in training where it will be pointed at someone else.   BTW, he used to work for a local sheriff's office but got himself into some trouble that forced him out of LE.   5.11's....check thigh rig....check catchy music...check slow motion video....check someone I would actually training with...fail
  8. Still not hearing safe. It is hard to get large calibers into the hearing safe realm.
  9. Slimy POS. I hope someone catches him before LE does and whips his ass. As a juror I would not be able to convict someone for whipping this guys ass.
  10. I think I see a rear sight dovetail that is empty.   That does look like a decent profile.   As far as tree rats I have carried a rifle in the woods with a target stock, it is no fun.
  11. I was just wondering because the barrel needs to come out to thread it.
  12. Rattle can? It is all I use anymore. After a couple of weeks it is pretty durable and nearly impossible to remove after a year or two. If I can I normally bake the parts I paint and it makes it durable from the start. I really like it because it is super easy to touch up if it gets scratched. And even though it is very durable it is also easier to remove than Duracoat or Cerakote. Looking good. It is always best to do it in sections for the base coat. For the ones following I covered it with a laundry bag and painted wide strips to give it the fish scale look after painting a tan base coat. I also use textured paint for the base because it goes on thicker and I think it makes the paint job more durable. Then I printed out 4 different kinds of leaves. I laminated them then cut out the leaves. Then I painted negative and positive versions of the leaves. I also made sure to use some glosses too because there are shiny leaves in nature. Here is the stock of a gun I painted. I put the stock on this gun to check fit and decided to take a picture. And the complete gun (a different gun than above).
  13. How easy would it be to do a barrel swap? 10/22 easy?
  14. Well yeah, but my definition of a brick is 500 rounds loose in a box.
  15. But in this case it is a great thing.   I quit cigarettes in 2007 but continued to smoke cigars until 2008. I quit everything after trying to run when I really needed to and thought I was going to die so that was the day I totally quit. And since then I feel so much better and can actually take a breath without wheezing.
  16. Has CCI ever sold a true brick?
  17. Anything else you want or need to make it "right"?   If so let me know and I will see what I can do.
  18. And make sure to not apply too much crimp because the bullet headspaces on the case mouth. If you crimp too much the bullet may fall to far down into the chamber to fire or if it does it will cause excessive pressures.   Can you post a picture of a bad round? We can probably look and ID the problem.
  19. We had a very nicely dressed guy demand to come in our house the day after Christmas, no doubt casing the house for a later robbery. We turned them away then several months later they came back while I was overseas. When they came he, not dressed as nicely, and a few other guys were in an old beat up van. He came onto our porch and my wife met him with the muzzle of an AR. He high tailed it out of the area pretty quickly and we have not seen him since.   So how someone is dressed has no bearing on how I treat someone because I treat everyone I do not know as if they are up to no good.
  20.   You have to turn on the GoPro then turn on the wifi for it. Then you have to connect your phone to the GoPro's wifi network just like you connect to a home, or public, network. But before you connect you need to launch the app once then close it, connect your phone to the GoPro wifi through the network settings on your phone. Then, after the phone is connected to the GoPro wifi, you launch the app and connect to the phone.    Once you connected once that it is super easy after that.   It took us a few times to figure it out and we finally had to watch some videos and read some websites.
  21. My mailbox is over 100 yards away. If I remember I will test it tomorrow.   My only concern is some jackwagon at the range deciding to shoot it. A few years ago I brought some mild steel targets for me to shoot with my 22s at 100 yards. I went down the line and asked everyone not to shoot it. And within 20 minutes someone had put holes in the target.
  22. I just checked mine and the signal gets lost at about 70 feet but that was with a couple of walls in the way. I never knew about this but it is really cool because I use it some when I shoot but now it will be easier to turn on and record. Last time I used it I thought I was recording but after a couple of hours I found out I wasn't.
  23. Not sure how strong the signal is but I suspect 100 yards would be too far.   I have used one quit a bit while testing and you can buy picatinny mounts to allow you to weapon mount them. It is cool to see yourself shooting.
  24. Selling items for exuberant prices is not against the rules here but crapping in his thread is in fact against the rules. And your warning points were not because of something nunya did but because of what you did so you have no one to blame but yourself.   I vaguely remember the thread but nunya did nothing to get banned.
  25.   And the last one can't even count.
