So who has eFiled a Form 1?
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I am not sure if the ATF needs the Schedule A to be approved but after 6 calls to the ATF the only constant was they all said a Schedule A must be submitted. Mine was a Form 1 and my Schedule A was blank except for a single round of 9mm ammunition. -

Did you submit just the trust document? -

Yes it is. The Schedule A is a consolidated list of trust property. From talking to people you can just keep the assignment sheets moving items into to trust instead of updating the Schedule A with the added NFA items. -

With a rifle the top cover is not sturdy enough for sights. -
I would be careful to make sure you see the bullets impact. My suspicion is it is too light. You can ALWAYS start out using jacketed load data for a cast bullet of the same weight. Cast bullets have less pressure than jacketed when all else is equal. This applies to coated bullets as well but not plated. Plated bullets should be treated as jacketed bullets. "Universal" is a specific powder it is not load data that can be used "universally".

Saiga rifle or Saiga shotgun? On a Saiga shotgun moving the sight to the rear of the cover works great. It doesn't move enough to affect the inherent inaccuracy of any shotgun. -

Any filing that requires a background check has to go through the mail. To eFile you MUST have some sort of legal entity like a trust, corporation or business. An individual MUST do the snail mail version because they must do a background check on YOU. There is no way to do a background check on a business. -
If there is anyone I can say should not own or be around firearms it is him. He is disgruntled, has self control issues, he blames others for his own failures, he has self admitted "mental health issues", believes there is an injustice that must be fixed and he has a gun. And although he hasn't said it I suspect he self medicates as well. All those things seem like a similar recipe as a lot of the mass shooters. As TMF said, there is but one person to blame for his situation and that is him. We all come into this world with the same opportunities and anyone can become successful if they try. I will not post it again but I am proof positive that no matter how miserable you think your situation is you can overcome adversity. I wish him all the success he longs for, and wish his mother well, but until he quits putting up roadblocks to his success he will not be successful.

This is not mine and I do not know the whole story but this looks pretty bad. He claims it did not come that way and that this is the result of 150 rounds and was not like that when he got it, which I SERIOUSLY doubt. I suspect he bought the blemished bolt, along with an upper, and never noticed the problem because they probably came assembled. Walmart has every right to dictate whether you can carry open or not. It is their property and their property rights trump your right to open carry. Walmart can set any condition they want for you to be on their property. They can legally enforce a "All patrons must wear a pink tutu" policy and anyone who enters must follow their wear a pink tutu to enter their property. They can even mandate that all those carrying firearms MUST open carry. Unless the laws have changed recently, which is quite possible because I do not follow knife law, you were in violation of the law. Here is the TCA regarding it. I could be reading it wrong but it seems pretty clear cut to me.

Need help sold gun that worked guy claims it doesn't
Dolomite_supafly replied to a topic in General Chat
What kind of pistol is he claiming no longer works? Was the deal done through TGO or another site? If it was done through TGO I might try to help you, if not you are on your own. Also, did you guys complete a bill of sale? If not I would keep all communication you had, hopefully some of it was by text or email. I never hash out a deal over the phone until the basics are covered in some sort of written medium so there is a record. Deals made over the phone are too hard to prove or disprove. On TGO we do get involved when asked to but only if all communication is done through TGO. Too many times I have tried to mediate only to find out what one party was telling me was not true so our rule is if it isn't posted on TGO and the communications doesn't go through TGO we will not get involved even if there are texts or emails. Buyers, sellers and traders do get "buyer's remorse" all the time. Any time I have had someone complain I would work with them as long as they are being reasonable but I would let them know right off the bat you are not going to trade back. And if it were me I would let them know you are not trading back through text or email that way if they try something hokey you have a record of it. Legally, you are under no obligation to repair, replace or return anything to him. You do not even need to talk to him or try to resolve the problem for him. The sale of used items, as far as the law is concerned, are final unless there is a written guarantee. This is why I always recommend that both the seller and buyer meet at a range to ensure the gun works, especially expensive ones. -
News said the sheriff's office said it was self inflicted asphyxiation. It is a sad day because I have watched every single one of his movies. Good or bad they were all entertaining and we always looked forward to seeing him on other shows as well.

Any report of child abuse should be taken seriously and investigated. On the other hand if the allegations are proven false those who filed the false report should be charged criminal as well as be forced to pay restitution for the damaged reputation. Because he is a celebrity of sorts within the gun community they are going to run with this and shut him down.

Realize that the powder charge you measured will not work with other powders or when using other bullets.

It was vaporized because what he said was pretty awful. Not just the words but what he was implying. And honestly had he not used the racist comment he probably would have been gone anyways. In that single sentence he broke several of our rules and sealed his fate. I am sure he will try to come back but we will hound dog him and boot him again.

I am too. He has been a thorn in my side for a couple of years now because of something he did. His most recent outburst went way beyond warning.

Is this another back door to their agenda?
Dolomite_supafly replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Just read in Texas they are trying to make gun shows go away by legalizing alcohol at gun shows. When it becomes law the rules governing it would make gun shows obsolete because no vendor is going to attend a show with these rules. The rules are that all guns, including vendors, on the premises must be disabled and not readily convertible for use. They also would not allow live ammunition or let buyers take possession of their weapons at these events. So you would pay for your gun then have to wait to take possession of it. And ammunition sales is a big part of gun shows. Personally I think it is an attempt at some liberals to make gun shows go away. They say it is being fueled by venues that cannot legally hold gun shows because they sell alcohol but in the end no one would attend a gun show at one of these venues anyways. Not sure if the rules would be applied to all gun shows, even ones that do not sell alcohol. That is I wonder if all shows would have to follow the rules even if they chose not to sell alcohol.
