The shortened ejection port is nothing but an easily removed plastic block. To swap it out all you need is another ejection port cover. The uppers are standard uppers with the block in place. Now there might be some dedicated uppers out there but I don't ever recall seeing them.

Personally, rather than spend time and money at the range that same time and money should be spent on laws, shoot/no shoot scenarios and what you can do to prevent being involved in a shooting like situational awareness. No amount of range training will guarantee you hit your target 100% of the time. Look at LE, the vast majority of shootings result in a hail of bullets with very few actually hitting what they are aiming at. So the thought of an average person doing any better is insane. So rather than take the time to shoot at a stationary target while the shooter is station take that time and spend it going over the various situations. When people get in trouble it is not because they shot and missed the target but because they shot when they were not supposed to so training should be focused on . And all the training related to what is a good, legal shoot can be done online and be done for not a lot of money. Matter of fact make it free but do require it before a HCP is issued. Have the person digitally sign stating they have watched the required videos. What I would like to see is the implementation of rifle carry into the HCP program. There have been places I have been where I would have liked to have a long gun but I cannot. The actual qualification test is a joke and does nothing to actually teach or improve your shooting ability.

Personally, ownership of inanimate objects should not be regulated at all. What should be regulated is the person owning the item. That is if I can legally own a single shot 22 I should be able to legally own a 50 BMG machine gun in the same manner. If I want to own a tank, hand grenades or a fighter jet I should be able to if I can own a 22 and if I can afford it. Every single time something was passed limiting firearm ownership the democrats were in control. Make no mistake gun control is, ultimately, about control of the people. We have seen it time and time again, democrats say we cannot have something yet they demand the same thing they aim to control.

I can't take credit for the idea for the Saiga forearm. Plank White posted a picture of someone else who had done the same thing and I thought it looked great. -
I quit going when they took their Cuban off the menu. I agree it is not very good for you and that it is expensive for what you get but it really is great food. One more thing, most people have not tried what is the best thing about Panera and that is the fresh bread and pastries.

My next pistol purchase will be the Canik TP9. It is the best sub $500 gun on the market from all the reviews. And at under $350 shipped you can't beat it.

ALG Handguard - Anyone Used This One?
Dolomite_supafly replied to Clod Stomper's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Looks like the mounting used on the UTG Pro Series rails. Btw, the UTG Pro Series ARE 100% American made. I have watched a ton of videos as well as read a ton of reviews and the UTG Pro Series are well received. Some even say they are the best when you factor in cost. I know, from reviews, they work great and are very durable. And considering they are American made and under $100 they would be my top pick. -

While in the truck, at home or at the range it will have a VFG but if I have to get out of the vehicle I will remove the VFG so it is a pistol. This is all pending ATF giving me the nod. -

I am wanting it as short as possible for the backpack. If I have to use it I am not going to be worried about the flash It came with a AR style flash hider and I bought a Damage Industries brake. I will say that shooting it with the brake it has no recoil at all but it also has a bit of a bite for the shooter. I shot about 10 rounds and that was enough, it forced my eyes closed and the pressure wave actually was uncomfortable. This is the brake from Damage Industries. And right now they have a 30% off sale using the coupon code "CUSTOMER30". I picked up the brake with a hammer spring and with shipping it was $28.28 shipped. I just did a test fit of a Sig brace and the side folder will lock closed with it in place so I might pick one up now. I LOVE the way they feel but they do add bulk and weight to the gun. I will probably drill out the bottom of the buffer tube to get rid of some of the weight. It will also be a great place to store any documentation like the ATF ruling that it is a pistol with the Sig brace installed. I measured it with the extended buffer tube and it is 26.25" long including the buffer tube. So if the ATF rules in my favor and agrees the buffer tube can be counted for overall length I will be adding a VFG to keep me from shooting my fingers off. -
I have sat by watching this thread and I told myself I was not going to get involved. For one I am not an electrician so I have no advice to give. But with that being said I MUST get involved now because, despite our rule of not saving members from themselves, getting involved may save more than just yourself. You MUST get an electrician to come out. The amount spent on an electrician is cheaper than buying your grandparents a new home. And if you think your life sucked before it would really suck to be homeless, with your grandparents, because you didn't want to spend $100. Or even worse, God forbid, the house burns down and someone dies in the fire. Even if this is not your grandparent's home you MUST get an electrician out. If this is not your grandparent's home, and is a rental property, you should not be messing with the wiring. Matter of fact you probably should not be messing with the wiring no matter who's home it is. Electricity is nothing to fool around with. Just because it seems good now doesn't mean that an hour, a week or a month later they wiring starts to overheat and the home burns to the ground. And if you are getting reduced numbers it could mean it is already grounded out somewhere and that is never a good thing. Hope your insurance is up to date. Please, I beg of you, call an electrician before someone gets hurt or killed. If the next post isn't "I called an electrician" I am locking this thread. BTW, did you ever fight for your girlfriend, did you kick her to the curb or did she head off to Michigan to be with the man who threatened your life?

So, what was the purpose of posting this? Does not meet any of the criteria set forth here. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/70368-guidelines-regarding-law-enforcement-threads-on-tgo/?hl=guidelines Shutting it down. I will say that the officer is 100% wrong and is not representative of the vast majority of LE.

If you get down under 50 grains you might sling the jackets off the bullets depending on velocity. I know 53 grain SMKs will sling their jackets past 3,200 fps out of a 7 twist.

You DO NOT have to be a member of Costco or Sam's Club to shop there. Walk in and when they ask to see your card tell them you are there to buy a gift certificate. They might escort you over to the CS counter or they might not. But go to the CS counter and buy a $25 gift certificate. Then go shop like normal and when they ask for your membership card hand them the gift certificate. They will ring you up and any amount over the gift certificate you can pay for like normal. But do NOT forget to show the receipt when you go to leave. I have not done it personally but talked to people who have.

So I bought an M92 and then decided the10.5" barrel was too long so I sold it a week after buying it and in its place I picked up a Mini Draco.

Yeah, I would have gotten involved when weapons came out but before that I would have probably called 911. I was just thinking that I would have likely been in the shop with my wife waiting in the car with Gus. -
Costco better jump on that $670K. If it goes to court the awarded damages could be a lot more, as in into the millions. Juries these day default into thinking the big corporations should pay and that is why we often see BIG settlement numbers after court cases. Do I think the broken leg is worth $670K, not even close but the fact they treated him like a thief, attacked him and held him against his will should be worth millions. Even if the guy only got a broken nail during the incident Costco should pay still pay big for treating the guy the way they did. I don't care how mouthy or cantankerous the guy is that does not give Costco, or their agents, the right to do what they did.

Sounds like "someone" scheduled our untimely death for 11:15 today. It is odd to think we could have been killed at the same time regardless of where we were had my wife not been paying attention. BTW, we bought $30 worth of lottery tickets, we never do, and currently trying to figure out how to cover ourselves in bubble wrap AND AR500 steel plate. -
Last week I dropped off an AK to be engraved. The engraver called yesterday and said to come out today and pick it up. I set up the time of 1pm based on the fact I was picking up my new gun at 11:30. I could have just as easily went to the engraver first. The engraver is In Range and lives on Eagle View drive. Last week I ordered an AK. It was delivered yesterday so I contacted the FFL and he said to come out between 11:30 and 1pm. I decided to go to the transfer FFL at first 11:30 am rather than the engraver. While I was there the engraver called at 11:47 and said not to come out today because it was a mess at his neighbors. It turns out the neighbor of the engraver was shot and killed by her estranged husband in her driveway at about 11:15 am. That driveway was less than 20 feet from where we park at the engraver. http://www.wate.com/story/26616924/shooting-reported-in-kodak-subdivision And on the way to pick up my AK we were on Oak Ridge highway when someone crossed the center line, doing in excess of 70 mph, and came completely into our lane. My wife exited the roadway trying to get away from the oncoming car and right at the last minute my wife was able to dodge it by going off the road. After that I got sick and both of us had the shakes for the next 20-30 minutes. I have been in close calls before and this is the closest I have ever come to a head on collision. Literally there was a few feet between him and us as we sat on the edge of the road with no where else to go. What is even more disturbing is if we had decided to pick up the transfer at 12:30, rather than 11:30, we would have probably went to pick up my gun from the engraver at 11:00 and been 20 feet away from the driveway where the murder took place. What is even more disturbing is I contacted the transfer FFL at 11:16, moments before we almost got into the head on, and at that same exact time the calls started coming in regarding the lady getting killed in the drive way. So we dodged the head on and dodged a potential shooter AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. Had we went to the engraver we might have gotten killed but because we didn't the head on almost killed us instead. I am the blue. So two places would could have been could have resulted in our deaths. Either we are really, really lucky or someone really, really hates us. Sorry if I am rambling or not making any sense because my mind is a wreck right now thinking of what could have been today, not once but twice.

I knew the second they declared a caliphate that they would grow and grow fast, both in funding and in personnel. Coming together to fight the west is one thing but telling a male muslim you are trying to create their own Islamic state that will be ruled using Sharia and you have male muslims lining up. By declaring a caliphate they are getting the support of those who cannot fight as well as aid and expertise from around the world. And, worst case scenario they die and go to paradise fighting the infidels. I don't know of any muslim who wouldn't want their own Islamic state and now there are thousands fighting for it. It is really hard to fight a group of people that believe that they will be better off dead. There really aren't any incentives to not fight us when they believe they are waging war in the name of their god.
