  1.   Never knew those existed, really cool.
  2. And if you have any questions I can give you my number and we can talk. I am not a dealer so I am not trying to sell you anything.
  3. Try to find a dealer that also has a range. That way while you are waiting you can at least go shoot your item.   Basically you either buy directly from your dealer or buy directly from the manufacturer who then ships to your dealer. I would suggest buying direct from the dealer because that will eliminate the transfer time from the manufacturer to the dealer. Once your suppressor is at the dealer you will fill out a Form 4 and submit it will the required items as well as $200 transfer fee. Then you wait, and wait then wait even longer until your form comes back with the stamp affixed. The dealer will get the form and once that happens he should contact you to let you know you have been approved. Then it is just a matter of going an picking it up.   You also need to decide if you want to transfer the suppressor into your name or into a trust that you are a trustee of. Going the trustee route is a little quicker right now but if the eFile system would, at some point in the near future, allow you to do the transfer it will be a lot less time. The eFile system is only allowing certain forms right now and the form 4 is not one of them. A trust also adds cost but you get a reduced wait time for your money as well as being able to let other people use your suppressor so long as they are also trustees.   I have done both and now I am going to only use a trust from now on. For me it is a lot quicker to get approved for Form 1 builds.
  4. Here is the fastest gun I have ever seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Xc5GcQLB0I As far as a FA Glock goes I had a friend who worked with me overseas who had a sear. He bought it for like $200 and had it shipped to a local address. When it came time to go back to the states he would store it in country until he came back. He would stick 33 round magazines in it when walking around or when not on a mission. When on a mission or in a vehicle he would stick a Beta drum in it. He said it was nothing more than something to get people to back away. I never shot it but talked to people who did and said it was impossible to keep on target unless you were standing right next to them.
  5. Do not buy wet bleach for storage. It turns into salt water pretty quickly.   Go to a pool supply store and buy calcium hypochlorite in dry form. It lasts so much longer and once added to water becomes bleach.
  6. Can we get a picture of the upper receiver from the bottom? With and without the bolt in it.
  7. The whole upper receiver is probably all out of whack now. It is not the barrel if the round drops free.   The extractor will not spring out far enough to be higher than the other lugs. But with the receiver bent the round could be ever so slightly sideways in the chamber causing it to bind.   Those plastic blocks will bend and move out of shape with enough force and based on the barrel nut he went way beyond that.
  8. Yeah, he probably twisted the upper receiver and it will likely need to be replaced. I have seen a lot of people try to untwist their receivers and it rarely untwists where it is twisted.   Can you drop a live round in the chamber, push on it with your finger then flip it up and the round fall out? If so the barrel is likely not the problem and the twisted receiver is the problem.   Not sure how far away you are from me but if you want I can get this put together correctly. If the upper receiver is bent I cannot do anything to fix that but I can prevent it from happening again.
  9. Just seen Obama say a travel ban is less effective than what they are doing now. Said he would probably not institute a ban.   WTF are they doing now that is so effective? Telling people coming from the infected region to monitor their temperature doesn't seem to work all that well.
  10. Sam Shepard is careless to make a speech like that. Telling people they should not be concerned is some of the worst advice someone can give right now. If people think there is nothing to worry about those same people will quit washing hands or doing the other things that must be done to prevent the spread. Right now every person in the nation needs to be worried at some level but I fear most are not. Now being worried doesn't require looting, rioting or anything other than doing what must be done on a PERSONAL level to protect yourself. But even in the face of Ebola most will not do the basic things, like washing hands or avoid unnecessary travel, to protect themselves.
  11. I have one I can send to you. Should be there by Monday, hope you don't need it for the weekend.
  12. Oh, and send me your address.
  13. Barrel nut only or barrel nut with spring and delta ring?
  14. Probably cheaper too.
  15. You can buy belts at most auto parts stores. Take a string and tie it snugly around both pulleys. Take that to a local store and they have a device to measure it and get you the correct belt.
  16. Are those tracers?   Seems like a lot of sparks after the target.
  17. If you are wanting a reliable and durable 22 pistol buy one of the all steel Ruger MK series pistols. I passed on thd S&W 22 pistols when one of their engineers told me the lifespan was forever. No pistol will last forever. I will take a hard look at the version not made by Walther. Is the barrel fixed and is it a larger OD than the Walther version?
  18. Did sig get the gas system fixed yet?
  19. I would also use a three sided file to clean the threads up. That is what I do to clean threads up followed by 1,000 grit sandpaper to really smooth things up. Best way to do it is engage the thread then let the file ride down or up the shaft.
  20.  No clue Mac, on either question. I do not mess with "her" computer unless there is a problem.
  21.   I may not have enough beans but I am pretty sure I have enough bullets.   As far as storage I keep them in their original packaging in a cool, dark place that is also dry. We also periodically donate stuff that is coming up on an expiration as well. Most canned foods will last WAY beyond their expiration date. I know in Knoxville you can legally donate goods up to 5 years past their expiration.   I also have some rice/beans stored in a dry container that was filled with Co2 and sealed. White rice is the best rice and wild, or brown rice, is the worst to store. Wild rice goes rancid very quickly because of the oils.   The reason why people, who might be infected, are still running around infecting others is because we are a litigious society. We sue over everything and the first time someone is told to stay indoors they will hire an attorney and sue. They will sue for not letting them go where they want, they will sue because they were embarrassed and probably sue if they do get ebola.
  22.   Problem is the .gov FORCES you to pay into the SS system. Not like retirees had a choice in the matter, they were forced to pay into a system so why not draw back out of it? They will never get out of it what they paid into it.   Retirees drawing SS, which they paid into, is like you drawing the money out of your bank account, that you paid into, so if it makes them a leech then it makes you a leech as well. Imagine putting money into that account, voluntarily or by force, then when you try to get your money back out they let you know that most of it no longer belongs to you. You would be livid if your 401K/retirement account was reduced by the same amount retirees, who paid into the system, are seeing.   It is easy to save money when you are not paying your social security or other taxes. A lot of people work under the table and fudge the numbers, especially the self employed, to be able to save money but not everybody has the conscience to willy nilly break the law.   I guess veterans, who did not pay into the VA system, are even bigger leeches.
  23. Just picked up another 40 pounds of beans. Now we should be good for 6-9 months without hunting if we have to hermitize our lifestyle. Just checked some other equipment for a worst case scenario.   I do have another question though. I wonder if a letter that was coughed upon by an infected person, then mailed, is able to infect you? Will it also infect other pieces of mail in contact with it?
  24. You do not need a trust bank account.   I have paid for all of mine using a personal account. Getting ready to submit for two more items to go with the one I filed last week.
