    Kahr guns?

I would not worry about seeing a Kahr with a problem. If you are around enough guns putting rounds down range you will see it with any brand. Even with a Glock. If you see it on multiple guns then I would worry.
  4. For you new guys that make it, don't get caught up in the numbers game when you get on the street. Remember it is more important to back up your fellow officers than to have a few extra traffic stops during a shift.
  5. I figured they would fill up real fast. It is certainly is nice to have the classes available this far east.

Please post a report once your unit gets some and they have put some rounds down range.
  7. Maybe some other time since they are full.

    Kahr guns?

Kahrs are one of the few handguns I recommend. I have an original K9 from when they first came out. Never a problem.
  9. Wise decision on the LMT.
  10. +1 on the Pmags. They are very good mags.
  11. Bring on the zombies.
  12. It looks like fun and they have gotten good reviews.
  13. Welcome
  14. Probably part of a mass mailing.
  15. I hope all of you shooting tomorrow have a good time. I wish I could be there.
  16. Let me know what you find out.
  17. Get ready for a sore shoulder
  18. The article states a taser was used but did not work. The shot is for individuals that may be suffering from exited delirium. If a Taser failes to work or is not available the shot is an option but only in cases of exicted delirium. It is not a general use item just to control someone.
  19. You get what you pay for. If you are not going to shoot it much though, go for it.
  20. I take that prices are the same as the Oregon classes?
  21. It is sure to be a good class. His always are.
  22. Metro now has video cameras on the Tasers so it is all well documented.
  23. The shot is used following the use of a Taser on subjects that are exhibiting signs of excited delirium. It is administered by Nashville Fire Dept. paramedics and not police officers.
  24. nsnate02 The gun can be at fault due to poor design or mechanical deficiencies. If a gun goes off by being bumped, for instance, while holstered then that is and AD. If you buddy shoots you in the foot as he was cleaning it because he forgot to check the chamber. that is a ND. operator error. Since you are coming to Metro, I thought you should be up to speed on your terminology. AD and ND are the same thing. ND is the more correct and current term. When someone fires a weapon and they did not mean to, you are being nice by calling it an accident. Don't be nice. The person was negligent and the discharge should be referenced as such. If the gun goes off without any operator imput, it is mechanically defective.
  25. Just carry what you shoot best and is IDPA legal. From a practical standpoint, Glocks are hard to beat due to the consistant trigger pull, cheap mags, and availability of parts and accessories. I would not worry about choosing between a mid-size, full size, or long slide. Shoot what you have or like. In terms of competitiveness, for most shooters there is not an appreciable difference between a Glock 19, 17, or 34. You are giving up some with the compacts and subcompacts. If you go to a major match you will see that most shooters are shooting Glocks, 1911s, or M&Ps. There is a reason for that. In the end, however, it is the shooter and not the gun. Find what fits you and learn to shoot it well.
