  1. Kemp, you must be sick and have a fever that is causing you to be delusional.
  2. Looks great. Bring on the 3 gun. Are you not afraid that all the shotgun shooting will scare Kemp away?
  3. Should be back in February. Thanks for asking. I am ready to get back to shooting.
  4. There are still a few days before the match. Kemp may go through several more guns before he decides to go back to what he has been shooting. I am not even sure what he is shooting now. Just don't let him go to any gun stores and he should be fine.
  5. Kemp and Hognut need to be kept in line. It will be a few months though. I have a torn ACL and I am having surgery later this month so my shooting has been put on hold.
  6. I think Kemp is feeling froggy.
  7. Kemp, you can't help. You have to represent the AK family at the 3-gun match.
  8. Most people are probably scared away because they do not know what a HOGNUT is or they are afraid to find out. Just a thought.
  9. Can I use my gun even if it is not polished, grinded, or sanded?
  10. I have trained under and with some of the staff there and know several others who have taken their classes. They are GTG. I may take a class there this fall.
  11. Just make master class in IDPA stock service pistol and challenge the Sgt. over firearms to a match. That should get you off to a good start. Good luck.
  12. Trying to wear Kemp down so you can beat him?
  13. If you are a new shooter come on out. Just think of the conversations you can start Monday at work when you tell your co-workers you went shooting over the weekend with a guy named Hognut.
  14. Taurus does not have a great reputation. You can easily do better.
  15. Hey Todd. This is Don. It was good to see you the other day. We no longer have the option of 1911s. That ended a few years ago. It is the Glock 22 across the board. I believe policy still allows us to get a 1911 or other handgun approved for SWAT use but the chain of command will no longer approve it.
  16. The Glock 22 is the only in uniform approved handgun. The 23 and 27 are approved for on-duty use by plain clothes officers. Those are the only approved duty handguns. There is a short list of approved back-up and off-duty handguns.
  17. It was fun. Nothing like shooting in the rain.
  18. I will be there.
  19. Killing and stopping, as in ending the fight, are not always the same. Yes, the .22 will kill and has killed many. That should not be disputed. It's ability to stop a determined aggressor before they do you harm, however, is dismal. That is why it is a poor choice.
  20. Try Dickson or Gallatin Gun Club. Gallatin is having a Glock match next month. IDPA matches start back in April. You do not have to shoot a Glock to participate. Glock matches are simple and straight forward. There is not too much to them. Come out, give it a try, and meet some of the other shooters.
  21. It should be. I know several people that are going.
  22. They are nice rifles. Even more so when you consider the price. You can always to to cz452.com and order a pair of Weaver bases for the rifles 11mm base. This will allow you to use Weaver rings. I am happy with the pair I have.
  23. The 19 is the way to go. As previously stated, if you can conceal the 26 you can just as easily conceal the 19. You are not giving up anything with the 19 and can be just as competitive with it as you would be with a larger pistol. Gallatin Gun Club has the IDPA classifier in Feb. Come out and give your new 19 a try.
  24. With regard to the original question, I have put almost six thousand trouble free rounds through my M&P 9 this year. I have yet to find fault with the gun. The lack of available parts, however, is the only downside to the M&P platform. Like it or not, Glock is the industry standard against which other handguns are judged. Even though many of the parts may not be availbale directly from Glock, they are available. That availability is due to Glock selling them to various venders. Smith has not been as forthcoming. For the casual weekend shooter, parts availability may not be an issue. For a dedicated shooter whe goes through many thousands of rounds a year, the availabilty of parts and the ability to keep your gun up and running should something happen is comforting.
