  1. TR is an excellent choice, and might eventually win, but AJ still gets my vote just for the shear crazy factor.
  2. I'm going with Andrew Jackson on this. I've always thought his Presidential portrait has crazy eyes.
  3. Please keep us updated if you hear anything.
  4. Thanks everyone for the excellent advice. HOPEFULLY, I'll get to shoot it this weekend.
  5. Hey, can you put a bi-pod on an SKS?
  6. I traded for my first SKS. Its a Yugo with a tacticool Tapco plastic furniture and a Nc Star sniper scope attached. Its the Yugoslavian version that has the attachment at the end of the barrel for the grenade launcher. It has the bayonet attached and came with two 20 round Tapco mags adn the original wood furniture and 100 rounds of ammo. I read up on it and tested it and it does not slam fire. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Can anyone with experience with these guns tell me what to expect? Any other problems to look for? I think the brass is going to hit the scope, there is no shield for the scope. Would it be acceptable for the time being to just put a little adhesive backed padding on the side of the scope to keep the ejecting brass from dinging it up or damaging it? I look forward to responses.
  7. Hornady's website is addressing rumors about ammo shortages.   http://www.hornady.com/support/availability
  8. Has anyone discovered a way to blame this on Obama?
  9. Interesting.
  10. Welcome
  11. Welcome to TGO from a fellow Clarksvillian. My first handgun was a P95, great choice. I also love the Montgomery County Shooting Complex.
  12. Great, the panic is going away. Now restock the dang ammo cabinet at Walmart and let's get on with life.
  13. Go Ravens!
  14. Would pinking shears ^^^^^^^^^^^ be in a special category?
  15. Lordy. If someone actually used scissors to defend themselves, then we'd have to be licensed to own scissors. And Heaven forbid you need left handed scissors, that would require a tax stamp.
  16.   No one has believed anything else he's said for the last four years, why start now? LOL
  17. I also think that many people have failed to remember that the federal government moves at the speed of the glacers. The media reports the possibility of some sort of gun restrictions and people lose their common sense. While some restrictions are probably going to happen, they won't happen overnight and they won't happen without advance notice of probably MONTHS.   One person starts running and everyone else thinks "I don't see a problem, but I better run too, just in case." What's happening is bordering on a mass hysteria. Hopefully when nothing happens immediately, things will calm a little.   Nothing wrong with being prepared, but all these people who jumped the gun so to speak are either (1) going to be pissed when they find out they can't sell these guns for 2/3 of what they purchased them for or (2) it drives the whole market up, so that a 2012 $300 piece turns into $500 in 2013.
  18. Jonnin, you are right, if she hadn't been at the inaugeration, this wouldn't even have been news at all. It would have just been another day in the "safest city in America".
  19. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong in this story.   http://www.startribune.com/nation/188999511.html?refer=y&refer=y
  20. Bersa 380 is a good choice. And inexpensive for when she changes her mind again. hehehehehe
  21. When I giggle out loud in an empty office do you think the people next door know I'm goofing off?
  22. You think they could see me making a gun trade in a parking lot?
  23. This is Murdock and Molly. Murdock is a full blooded Welsh Corgi. He's my Lowrider. A funnier dog has never been. Molly is our new addition. She is an 8 week old Bassador. Thats half Basset Hound and half Black Lab. Another Lowrider. So far, smarter than her brother, but both are funny as clowns.
  24. Loaded, chambered and within reach at night. Locked in the safe during the day. I'd hate to get robbed when I wasn't home and have my bedside piece to be the only one stolen.
