My first handgun was a Ruger P95. I loved it. It was a great gun, while I traded it for a Glock, I'd own one again.

Number 118 and 119. Happy to help.

I've never seen that clip before, but I have already threatened to do that to someone once today.

The P22 is a great plinker and a great gun for a newbie to learn on.

Thanks. This thread has given me the first genuine laugh out loud moment of the day. Oh and I did LOTS of research before buying my Glock. At least an hours worth.

Proof that you can conceal easily.....

You could hear that little rattling SOB coming a mile away. LMAO!!!!!! He'd clink and clatter like a suit of armour. Plus with the shottie stuck in his sock, he couldn't bend one leg. How VERY funny. Thats made my day. -
First LEO encounter while carrying

It was an educational experience. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It was a reminder that everyone doesn't take the Second Amendment as seriously as this group. -

First LEO encounter while carrying
walton6467 replied to walton6467's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Well, he was not UN-friendly. But he was kind of lecturing me. It was obvious by the time the conversation was over, he was not a fan of citizens carrying. I dunno, maybe it was because he realized this morning how many days a week we stand in the same cashier line and today was the first time he'd seen my gun. I'll certainly make sure I'm concealed around there from now on, if nothing else to make sure I don't further irritate a LEO. I certainly mean no disrespect, but I felt like I was being lectured about the public appearance of carrying a gun. The neighborhood is not a bad one by any means. However we all know, bad things happen to good people in nice places all the time. -
I stopped this morning at the BP for my morning coffee carrying my G26 IWB as usual. I usually blouse my dress shirt out over the butt of the gun when I get out of the car, but today I must have had something else on my mind and did a lousy job covering the end of the Glock. A local police captain was in line behind me and followed me out of the store. On the sidewalk I hear "Sir, have you got a permit for that?" from behind me. I showed him my permit and license and he kinda gave me a lecture for carrying open. He told me that off duty Clarksville police officers are not allowed to carry open, and that I shouldn't either. He told me that the general public gets upset when they see a gun and he's seen innocent people who have been put in danger because someone spotted them carrying open and called the cops on them. I assured him that it was an accident, that I normally carry it well covered. He seemed skeptical and I couldn't resist, I said "You see me in here nearly every day and this is the first time you spotted the gun". He kind of gave me the old stink eye, handed me my permit and license and walked away. I didn't make a friend today, but I learned a valuable lesson, I'll stay well concealed in the future.

Its called the ZING.

My local Wally World has put all their boxed knives on clearance so they can start putting them all out on a blister pack rack. After scrounging through boxes and boxes and boxes I selected the Kershaw below. Can't beat 25% off a neat looking knife.

I carry a Glock 26 in a Blackhawk IWB like this: Inside-The-Pants Holster w/Strap - BLACKHAWK!

I purchased a new SCCY 9mm pistol from a pawn shop. Got it home, fired two magazines and was actually hitting the target. Second shot from the third mag of ammo and the trigger went *click* and then it was free swinging with no tension on it at all. You could hold the gun upside down and shake it and whatever was broken would fall back into place and you could fire one round. Then turn it upside down and shake it again. I took it back to the pawn shop and talked them into giving me my money back since I'd only had it four hours. Its a shame. The gun had a good feel, external safety, no FTF and was fairly accurate. But broke after 22 fires. Worst. gun. ever.

I searched and got too many results as usual. Someone gave my brother what appears to be a brand new Jennings 9mm pistol. Its chromed, in the original box, with paperwork, a trigger lock, and two mags. Its heavy enough to hammer nails with. I know the crappy rep such guns have, but can someone give me some personal experience? Is my bro risking fingers if he shoots this thing? Is it going to blow up in his hand? Or is he just not going to be able to hit anything beyond arms length? And then is it going to fall apart spontainiously? Give me some insight.

Anyone else use a ClipDraw on their gun?
walton6467 replied to Punisher84's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I love the clip on my Keltec PF9. I will probably buy one for my new Glock. -
I spoke with the Chief of Police for a local University who told me that if you are stopped on a city street running thru a college campus they will NOT charge you with illegal carry because you are on the city's street. His other comment was "an officer shouldn't see ever see the gun anyways".

I think I got a hernia just reading this thread.

I know that at Austin Peay, the campus police have jusidiction on the streets that surround campus. Also remember that at most TBR schools, all campus police are certified, trained police officers and most have the ability to pursue off campus if needed. They aren't just security guards that can't leave the property. They are a legitimate police agency recognized by the local city police and by the state as such in most cases. I also know that Tennessee Board of Regents has a policy on the books that states that if you park your car on their campus, they have the right to search it. However, I've never known that to happen without provocation. If the street runs THROUGH the campus, regardless of who pays for the pavement, its part of campus, by proximity if not by title deed. The University should be able to clarify which properties they own. I wouldn't hesitate to tell them why. Let them know you carry and that you want to make sure you aren't in violation. If a campus cop stops you OFF CAMPUS and he CAN, he can't charge you for something that isn't illegal in the city, regardless of whats illegal on campus. Same goes for alcohol. TBR campuses forbid alcoholic beverages of all types, but if you have a six in the back seat for when you get home and campus police stop you OFF campus, they can't charge you for the alcohol, but same circumstances ON campus and you've violated state law.

Amen. I don't see anyone lining up to take a few rounds from any of the "useless" calibers just to show they are really useless.

I'd love to go shooting, but........ Sorry dude. Too easy. If it makes it better, wifey pinched a tiny blood blister on her finger between the mag and the end of the grip and you'd think she lost a digit.

My Glock 26 has double springs, as does my Walther P22.

Hey my 5'0" wife loved shooting it. She said it was more comfy than the smaller Keltec PF9 we were also shooting that day.
