  1. Glad to see so many shoot their old rifles.
  2. I've not got a 1917 but I do have a 1944 Win. Garand. I love shooting it. I've got a bubbaed 1903 Rem. that pretty accurate.
  3. Sounds like you are talking about One Book/One Caliber. Published by Loadbooks USA, Inc. Loadbooks Bullet Reloading Manuals, Bullets, Reloading, Guns
  4. A friend of mine took his wife hunting a few years ago and she killed her first buck a nice 10 point. He told her not to expect that everytime.
  5. I've never owned one but the ones I've shot were tops. My uncle had a Gold Cup that was super accurate.
  6. I just wondered if anybody shot their military rifles. I shoot my milsurps more than anything else these days. I can't remember the last time I shot a .22. I shoot my M1 Garand and Mosin Romanian M44 as much as I can. Does anybody else shoot their older rifles?
  7. Good looking 9 point. Did you weigh him? I killed a decent 9 last Nov. with my Turk 8mm Mauser. Hes on my avatar.
  8. Looks like a mean looking critter. What did you shoot him with?
  9. Man, them are some monster killer loads. I wanna try some 'lil gun in my .357 Security Six. I like the Dry Creek Bullets 170 gr. Keith type bullets. I used to load Sierra 170 gr. hp. But they were loaded with 13.5 gr. 2400 and they seemed pretty light. Shot really good though. 1" and less groups at 25 yards.
  10. Glad it worked good for you. I like my Mosins but don't like the sights too much. I mean if I shot it a whole lot it would be ok. Its just takes some getting used to.
  11. Tempest I just looked and found the Mojo. They make'm for several Milsurps.
  12. I know I'm gettin' in here a little late. But I was wondering what the Mojo sights cost and where did you get it. Also I don't shoot my Mosins with the bayo either. I kinda dought I'll be charged by Germans.
  13. Thanks Shima. I'm gonna look at one of them.
  14. Whats the Tn. laws about carrying guns in vehicles? I've heard for years if you are 21 or older and its out in the open and unloaded its legal. Whats legal or illegal? I know during deer season a lot of hunters have their rifle in their vehicle and most probably have it loaded. What about handguns?

    Bobcat!

I killed one about 15 years ago. Mainly because I'd had a crappy deer season and It was late in the season. I had it mounted. I've seen several since and have let them all walk. The one I killed was after a squirrel.
  16. And I was thinking about ordering some stuff from them too. The store I usually buy from is always out of whatever I need. That's why I was considering Midsouth.
  17. I hear ya. I'm laid off too from Cummins in Cookeville. There's just not anything around. The jobs I've heard about don't pay that good.
  18. Shima, If you didn't have the storage containers how many long guns would that big ol boy hold? Thats what I need.
  19. The .22/45 is a great gun. A friend had one back years ago and let me shoot it. He couldn't hit much with it and thought something was wrong. I was hitting with it right off the bat. I think it kinda ticked him off a little. I used to shoot handguns a lot and could shoot good. I don't know about now though. I don't shoot the handguns I've got much now.
  20. Looks like there might be a serious recall there. Maybe some big lawsuits.
  21. Hogs is something I've been planning to hunt for a long time. There's not a lot in my area though. Oh yeah hi everybody I'm a newbie on here.
