  1. Thanks WD40. I'll try that. I just wanna get it looking good to hang up.
  2. A friend gave me a Mule deer rack that's a little dried out looking. I wondered was there anything that I could put on it to bring the color back to it. I appreciaate any help. Thanks.
  3. If you could bait'em and hunt at night, then hunters could put a dent in'em.
  4. Yeah, real good birds. I'd say all your birds are at least 3 years old.
  5. Lumber_Jack, I called TWRA once and talked to a guy and asked him why the regulations were so messed up. He said they do a lot of damage to the land. I said i know. Why don't they loosen up the laws? He couldn't give me an answer.
  6. Hogs in some areas are a bad problem. We don't have'm here yet, but its probably coming. There's some hogs about 7 miles from here. I worked with a guy from Fentris county and he said they are all around him. He gave up on trying to raise a garden 4-5 years ago.
  7. I'm gonna try and go in the morning if the weather is good. I didn't get to go yesterday or this morning.
  8. Has anybody had frustrating times turkey huntin' lately? They're not gobbling much around here now. The last few times I've been they will gobble a little on the roost and thats about it. Most of the hens I think are on the nest and the gobblers seem to be not interested much. Last year around here it was better at this time. I killed a 3 year old gobbler on the morning before the last day. Right now its gonna be tough.
  9. Is it just me or do the jakes play quiet mouse when they come in. I've called in 5 or 6 this season and they never gobble. You'll just look and see'em coming. I'm thinking maybe the mature birds have them a little nervous.
  10. Well, I can't remember what show it was. I just know it was on The Hunt Channel. I did a search on their website and its expired. Something weird there, huh.
  11. I guess nobody else has heard of 'em either.
  12. Trophy bird! I've killed birds with spurs like that, but never that heavy.
  13. Has anybody seen or heard about these shells? I saw a hunting show on The Hunt Channel and they was using these shells. But, I tried to look them up online and couldn't find much info. They look like some mean shells.
  14. Yeah its tough right now. They're henned up pretty bad and the wind around here has been blowing hard too. Sometimes around 9:30 or 10:00am they'll start gobbling and might give you a chance.
  15. Thats a real good bird anywhere. 1 1/2" spurs is a trophy. I killed one like that 4 or 5 years ago and I've not got one even close since. TWRA says 1" spurs means a 3 year old, so your son's bird is probably 5 or so. Older birds are hard to call in sometimes.
  16. I still ain't heard much gobbling.
  17. Good setup you got. I hope you score on one soon. Maybe I'll get to get back after'em Thursday or Friday. So far I've not heard a lot gobble. It may be the windy and cooler weather.
  18. I hope all of you have good luck tomorrow.

I hope you can find a nice affordable BAR. I've never even seen one. I saw them on the History Channel and they talked about using them in WWII.
  20. I mean the airhead population would drop fast.
  21. If zombies hit Nashville I know several people there that wouldn't last long. I mean I know there's some smart people in Nashville, but there's some airheads too.
  22. Bowfishing is something I've never tried. I've got a couple bows and need to get some fish arrows and line with spool. Does anybody use the reels with the plastic bottle?
  23. Its supposed to be warm. Its been cold here. Maybe the warm weather will rev'em up some.
