  1. I would like to see an American company get the contract. Like S&W,Ruger,Colt.
  2. Yeah, a very well explained list of what "bait" actually is would be very helpful. There's even attractants like C'Mere Deer Block Toppers, Buck Juice, Deer Cane. These products are probably defined as bait by TWRA.

    New rifle! :D

That old rifle has got lots of potential. Would make a great hunting rifle. The Enfield 1917 is a very strong and well built rifle.
  4. Exactly, that kind of thing has happened a few times..........
  5. The last 10 years or so I've been a trophy hunter. I will still shoot a doe or 2 but, if I kill a buck he's a good'un. I try to let everything that looks 2 1/2 years old and under walk. Sometimes I'll let 3 1/2 year olds walk. I know Tn. is not what some other states are but, we still can produce some good bucks. By the way I have no problem with hunters killing what they want. I eat what I kill too.
  6. A reproduction would be the way to go on a turtle. I have seen a few weird thing though. I saw a Game rooster mounted once. Must've been somebodys favorite fightin' rooster.
  7. I think your talking about the first deer of the season. Right? I usually won't shoot a buck unless it looks at least 3 1/2 yrs. old. If I need a meat deer, I will try to get a good sized doe and try and make sure its not a button buck.
  8. One of the .45's may be in my future.
  9. I got a pair of Surplus "Mickey" boots that I'm gonna try this season.
  10. Around here the scrap yards won't even buy it. Don't matter if its deprimed or not. They say they've not been buying since 9/11.
  11. I can't relate to the soles falling completely bleeping apart. I bought a pair of Rocky Super Brute 1000 Gram boots and they came apart in clumps. A shoe repair place in Cookeville wanted $55.00 to repair. I don't think so........
  12. JAB, that was well said man. I agree with you.
  13. They may be it right there. TWRA may think that hogs are being released in some places to hunt. I don't know about that personally. I've not heard about it.
  14. Yeah the heat is a real pain right now. August will probably be rough too.
  15. My father died when I was little, so I never got to go with him. My grandfather and brothers took me hunting and fishing when I was a kid. Who got you started when you was a kid?
  16. Yeah the hog restrictions are a little wierd this year.
  17. If your asking about, what to use for bait. You can catch'em on chunks of fish, chicken guts, beef liver, etc. Limb lines will work but, you may get fish on too. You never know. Turtles are a little tough to clean. Especially the first time you do it.
  18. Nice deer you got there. Did you score him?
  19. Your exactly right Caster. Might as well get it cluttered up.

    mosin nagant

If you order one get a hex reciever. If you get a round reciever, and they have a select fee get it. The select fee is worth it in my opinion. Some of the round ones look like the reciever was cut out by a beaver.
  21. In my opinion there not really worth the price unless you just wanna use'em or maybe your shooting a .243" bullet. My brother in law swears by Nosler Partition 100 gr. in his .243. On deer size game they're probably a good idea in the smaller calibers. I've shot 25 or more deer with .308 Hornady Interlocks. Shoots all the way through 95% of the time.
  22. Ohshoot, your recipe sounds a lot like my Grandmothers. She could cook some mean carp patties.
  23. I had a F.I.E. Texas ranger .22 single action that was a real piece of crap. I gave it away to my brother. He seemed ok with it.
  24. It looks similar to BeeZid. You buy your bids up front and bid as much as you want. The stuff on BeeZid sells cheap sometimes, but not really.
  25. For looks, it would be a set of nice wood grips. But for shooting, rubber all the way. On hard kicking handguns, I like rubber grips.
