  1. X 2 I have had my PT145 for a while now and I have never had a problem with it. It stays near my head in bed and I trust it to do its job. The trigger pull was a little long but it was fairly accurate.
  2. That is crazy, but its cool to see how guns have evolved.
  3. i need to hit some of these places to get some cheaper ammo.
  4. M&P's are great shooters. Never had a problem with mine. great buy!
  5. I have a Taurus Mill PT-145 and it is an awesome gun. It was very accurate and has not jammed on me yet. The trigger pull is long but that is my only complaint. I had a Chiefs Special 45 before and this thing runs circles around it.
  6. So are you saying they were different guns? From the sound of it, this is the just the early DW.
  7. Awesome. I hope it shoots as well as I have heard. If you are serious, everything I have is for sale.
  8. An old timer at work told me that the Dan Wesson name was added later on to the High Standard revolver. If I can get some free time next week I plan to take it out to the range. This would be the first time I shot a .357 out of a 2" barrel.
  9. Here are some pics.
  10. http://www.notpurfect.com/main/dw357.html This is the website I was using to read up on it. "This is the Dan Wesson medium frame revolver, upon which the company was founded. These guns were designed by John Lewis, and initially manufactured by High Standard." The 2" barrel says High Standard on it but the 6" barrel has Dan Wesson on it. I would imagine that the 2" is not very accurate but I would like to take it out with the 6".
  11. I purchased a High Standard .357 revolver today. It has the 2" barrel as well as the 6". It is in very good condition. Does anyone have any experience with one of these. Online sites say its one of the most accurate revolvers made. I will post some pics as soon as I get back to my camera.
  12. .....or a pimp from Cookeville with a nice selection of guns!

    I'm a 1911 owner

Nice looking pics! That is a very accurate and reliable gun. Use it and enjoy it. I still wish I could have got you to buy the Star instead... lol
  14. Yea. I would like to trade it off to a collector because it is a pretty cool gun to hold on to.
  15. I will be picking up a Taurus 145 tomorrow. Can't wait!
  16. Yea. The bobtail feels better in the hand. That rounded edge is more ergonomic. That being said.... I think most people like that look because a lot of the big name 1911 companies do it. Your average low end 1911 does not usually come with it.
  17. I shot a full magazine through it on Friday. I was suprised by how good it felt.
  18. It is a small gun so it wasnt the best shooting gun. It would hit the black ink though.
  19. I got mine for 400 and I was very happy. It is not the most accurate gun but it was reliable. The first shoot was a little scary because I was expecting it to jump out of my hands. The gun turned out to be very manageable though.
  20. Well Dis and I could only get 8 into it. It looks like it should hold more.
  21. This is the B model. I think the Super B had more features. I just wish my B had grip safety.
  22. A month or two ago I heard someone mention a Star 9mm. After seeing pictures I really wanted to get my hands on one. This week I had the opportunity to run across one. After I got it home I did some research and found out that it was made in 1943. It is in very good condition for the age. The slide is still very tight. I am ready to get this thing out to a gun range. Here is a pic of one online until I get one of my gun. Has anyone ever owned one?

    First Shotgun?

What are your thoughts on the Ithaca 37 Police Shotgun?
  24. Probably some of the worst photoshop work ever too!
