  1. I do not shoot the 300! I was just replying to Mike357! I agree that one should work their way up in caliber and find the easiest to shoot in the 100 to 200 yard range the 5.7 PS90. It is just not a cheap gun to buy or shoot. I got a used Remington 7600 in 308 with a scope for about 500 last year. That would be a watch the gun shows thing along with look for used guns at the local gun stores. Of course the 308 is if you want to shoot out to 1,000 yards or put holes through half inch steel plate at 150 yards like Ken did or was it Magiccarpet?
  2. You will not be disappointed by that either unless you want a concealed carry weapon. The magazine holds 20 rounds and there is a 10 round extention available aftermarket. I just have not got one yet.
  3. Magiccarpet: Get a rail foregrip and a CT green laser vertical grip for that if it uses a standard Mossy or Rem foregrip.
  4. I got an after market rail and a Redfield 3-9 X 50 scope and it shoots great at 150 yards because I have not set up my 200 yard target yet. Set bottles out at 100 or so yards to watch them explode when you hit them. It is a nice compact weapon that is easy to shoot.
  5. Mike357: To be a real man he needs a 300 Win Mag or a 50 BMG. None of that sissy 30-06 for macho men!
  6. I sometimes find Cabelas to have the best prices on ammo. I agree with checking out Midway but prefer to use my local pusher when he has or can get what I want at a fairy reasonable price.
  7. Keep it up! I will be back in a few hours to catch up on the entertainment. I get the feeling someone is pulling someones chain here just to get a reaction. But I have seen most of this in real life situations where this type of conversation was going on face to face and I was taking part in the talk. I am still here t talk about those time so they must not have turned out to bad even if people ended up terminated from their jobs eventually due to antisocial behavior.

    Glock Vs 1911

I thought I found my carry weapon in a G27 until I shot a Kimber. Now I carry a Kimber cuctom RCP II. I found I can shoot it better. But you need to be able to shoot before you make the decision as has been said they truly are different "animals". If you have spare time PM me and I will arrange to allow you to test fire a couple of different configurations of 1911. I am one short of a 6 pack! I looked that up and have to agree that unless it is a stainless the other guy is getting the best deal. You should probably hold on to your Glock and save for a 1911.
  9. When I found this ammo: 410 ga. 2 1/2" Supreme Elite™ PDX1 410 It became a more versatile weapon. Rather than load alternate #4 and 000 or 45LC I now have a load that cover most needs in a hand gun although I would not want it a primary carry or go to town gun
  10. And here I will disagree with those that claim the Judge has no value. I can carry a holstered weapon with a .410 shell for no leg and 4 leg varmints while walking on my property. To me that is useful. I can control a Judge better than a BASS which to me is useless because you have a 3 inch chamber and a 1 inch barrel if that. My experience with Kel-Tec weapons leaves me with the desire to not purchase another but they do provide niche weapons such as emergency truck carbines in pistol calibers using Glock magazines. I would also say that any handgun that requires ammo that needs to be hand loaded or costs more than a buck for practice is useless. I also think that of percussion and other weapons that are designed for show rather than use.
  11. I have a nephew that completed his tour and came out as bad or worse than when he went in. He still thinks the world owes him a living. His employment record was months at a job if that and he left the country thinking things are better over seas. I do not even want to know what he is up to now.
  12. The price difference for the SEBRU would be a factor and indicate using a different platform for longer barrels. I could carry a tactical 12 on my back and that on my hip! That would allow me to blend in with the crowd! Watch for a "Show and Tell" next week!
  13. I am picking up my latest 12 gauge package soon and will post that one. Even if it is not a SBS or AOW. I wanted to remain civilian legal without a stamp.
  14. I found this combination interesting also Excerpt Remington MCS Kits(Modular Combat Shotgun). This unit from Remington is an all inclusive setup with all your SBS needs. It comes with Remington's patented REM-LOC system for quick change grips. It comes wit the Pachmeyr pistol grip and also the pistol grip rifle stock. 10", 14", and 18" barrels are included. All the parts are stored in a Nylon assault case, for quick access. All necessary magazine tubes, and accs are included. We have the part to mount the breeching weapon under an ar-15/m-16 available.
  15. Well Nightrunner You got me there. I now want to run down to my pusher and start the paper work on one of those!
  16. 12 gauge ultra mag in a tactical configuration on a sling or this From here: SBR's, DD's, and AOW's
  17. I can understand the desire to have large caliber hand guns because I carried both 44 and 41 mag years ago. Now I settle for "PEA SHOOTERS" like 40 S&W and 45ACP or hand guns that toss out a 3 inch .410 slug. I must admit to owning a .556 pistol that does more damage from 100 yards than my 45 does from 20 ft.
  18. Daniel: Would it be out of line to tell you that I have grand children by marriage that are older than you. In 1976 I adopted a 5 year old grand daughter from my stepson and his ex wife. there was a few years difference in age as I became a grandfather at 27 years old when I married my 3rd wife who started having children when she was 14 and married at 15. I will add that Queen was a favorite group of mine.
  19. Jamie: I agree with you about the current PC attitude. As this country is currently transitioning from a patriarchal society to a matriarchal society which I would refer to being a MOMMY state there will have to be a drastic event happen before people understand the need to be able to be independent again. It will take a SHTF event as the transition point has passed. As far as writing post and deleting them! YES!
  20. Good luck with retrieving your weapon!
  21. I read the entire post! All I have to add is that those with a decade or more of experience working in the corporate world have given good advise. I would advise against attempting to start your own business without a decade minimum in a customer service related corporate job in which ou have sucked your way up in the company by following company policy as dictated by your immediate superior. I say this from a bit of personal experience as I retired from 37 years of working in a right to work state for a major corporation that specialized in customer service. In my earlier years my parents owned their own business so I was familiar with the problems with that and decided the positives did not offset the negatives and eventually corporations will run mom and pop businesses out as they can not truly be competitive. Government Small Business loans are a suckers bet and result in being in debt for life.
  22. I do believe it will work just fine on either my SASS or my SCAR 17 when it gets here. My Pusher is trying to get me to get a suppressor for the bullpup. He claims it will reduce the kick and the overpressure.
  23. I am not a Bolt fan but think for the price you have something to shoot rather than putting out over twice that for a new AR or maybe 5 something for a Mini 14. You might check your dealer to see if a good used semi 223 is available. I think the semi is a bit more "fun"
  24. I like the magnifier with the Eotech but it is cost prohibitive for a 22 and probably will not help the grouping. I have a BSA scope on a 10-22 that is compensated for a 22. It is a BSA Sweet 22 that came on a used 10-22 that I picked up for the granddaughter.
  25. I need to move mine to a weapon other than my RFB as the concussion from the blow back is a bit much for me. If you want to try one out PM me or just ask Magiccarpet as he has shot mine. I have the 7.62 version!
