  1. Will give her a call on Monday. Appreciate it guys.
  2. Anyone gone through the process of reinstating their TN HCP? I finished diversion in November 2018 and looking for get my permit back. My attorney spoke with the prosecutor and they stated it was best to take the class again and through the application process. I did some research to see that TN has a reinstatement fee for the permit of $25.00 in the statute. Just looking for some insight from you guys. Thanks. -s
  3. None of mine will, all 8 HKs I've had.

    FN Five Seven

Get something else, novelty gun, novelty round. Get something in a real service caliber, you can find ammo to train at least (and it's cheaper). Hint, 9mm. FN 5.7, an expert's take. FN 5.7 x 28 mm - M4Carbine.net Forums
  5. Gen2 to Gen3 differences Finger grooves/lightrail. That's it. Longer barrel, slide, sight radius in the G35. It's all good. Get a GEN4 Glock in .40. Dual captive recoil spring. Adjustable backstraps, AND you can shoot it with a light attached without it malfunctioning. Haha.
  6. +1, softest shooting polymer handgun on the market. Makes 9mm feel like shooting a .22lr pistol.
  7. If you can find .45 GAP for cheap. I would say go for it. Otherwise, .45 ACP is already hard enough to find and mist places online, gouge you for it. Honestly, I'd just get a G21 and be done with it. Glocks are great guns, a 9mm Glock is the benchmark for a combat pistol, all the other calibers, not so much.
  8. It's the indian, not the arrow. I'd go what I can shoot accurately. I either carry my P30 or P2000sk in 9mm(both with LEM), depending on the situation. I have .45's but I don't think they are necessary for their frame size or limited ammo capacity. Modern JHPs work very well and I wouldn't feel outgunned with any of the service calibers (9mm, .40, .45). I have some qualms about having the XD as a carry gun. All 9mm Glocks and all M&Ps are gtg btw. PM me on why the XD is not an ideal carry piece, as not to derail this thread.

    XD40 or XD9?

    I wouldn't pay more than 400 bucks.

    XD40 or XD9?

I'd get 9mm. One less caliber to stock up on. Pistol calibers don't mean crap. The inherent snappier recoil in .40 isn't going to help sight recovery when shooting competitions or in a life or death situation. With modern JHPs, most pistols calibers are pretty moot. Honestly, from a training standpoint, I'd tell you to get another Glock 19. Pistols poke holes, rifles eff stuff up. That .045 of an inch in diameter isn't going to do anything. Shot placement is what counts. It might be a range toy, but one day you or someone you love might have to rely their life on it. Also, your wife/girlfriend would probably have a better time shooting 9mm. YMMV. 11. I don't know if I could recommend a 1911 that is smaller than 5" for carry as reliability goes way down due to barrel length. I'd carry a 5" 1911 if you need something thinner.
  12. I carry the biggest gun that I can conceal. P2000sk or recently an HK45.
  13. S&W M&P 9c is the obvious choice. Get APEX upgrades like the Striker Block and Sear and it's probably the best striker fired trigger i've felt. Glocks are good guns, but dated.

    New Gun, Or Not?

Let's hope so. Seems like S&W putting out a updated Sigma, haha. http://pistol-training.com/archives/2956
  15. I'd store it in my pants or somewhere I get to it fast. If you are looking at mags, I'd take a good look at Tripp Research mags.
