I never use the door placard as anything more than a general guideline for stock vehicles. That said, NONE of my vehicles are close to what you might consider stock. I put new tires on and run a chalk test in combination with a non contact thermometer.   The chalk gets me close to the correct pressure, once I have the chalk wearing evenly across the tire I know they are contacting relatively evenly. Then I switch to the thermometer checking inside, middle, and outside temps. This verifies that while the entire tire is making contact that all the tread is being used as evenly as possible for traction. If the outer and inner are both lower or both higher I adjust the pressure in half pound increments. If just the outside or just the inside is hotter or cooler than the rest I check the alignment. Last set I set up was a set of a set of Bridgestone RE-71R they are technically a track tire, but I run them on the street. Since they are track tires they come with NO warranty for tread life. I still expect 24-30k out of the set due to the light weight of the car and the compound's wear thus far but to achieve that I have to actually monitor and verify my air pressures. (no .gov mandated tire idiot light in vintage BMWs)   $13 IR thermomoter   Good tire guage($42) If you spend the money on a good tire gauge and use it often it will pay you back several times that in tire longevity.

My second stamp from this run came back this morning. Form 1 SBR Submitted 12/30/2016 approved 4/15/2016. 

I don't find it that hard to believe, Brentwood and Franklin both seem have PLENTY of officers to cover their jurisdictions. 

I know Jim and his family. They are far from anti gun. Disapproving of a particular design is different than thinking it should be banned.

  I'm doing my best to hold out any judgement until I see at least one of the 3 cameras that supposedly caught this encounter on video, but I did read this earlier in the ABC piece and found it interesting.   "The chief said it's not clear how the officer wound up in the bed of the pickup and there were really tight conditions between the gas pump and a curb."   I'm fairly certain the chief has seen the video, and I suspect the officer may have ended up in the truck's bed to avoid being pinned between the truck and the pump. Which if someone were trying to pin you with a moving vehicle just seconds before. .  could very quickly raise the stakes in my mind as to whether deadly force is justified. I still think the videos should be released though.

 Not all TDis only pretty recent years, and honestly it's a load of crap. These remarkably efficient engines are burning half the fuel of many of their competitors and when hooked up to an actual 5 gas analyzer they produce LESS(by slightly over half) the raw emissions PER MILE than the comparable gasoline powered drivetrains offered in the same vehicles.

Yep, TDi Vws absolutely rule milage wise. Took a chipped Audi A3 TDi from Nashville to Chatty and back and averaged 52mpg with the car loaded up with four of us doing 70+.   http://www.dw.com/en/audi-a3-named-green-car-of-the-year/a-5018375   And yes this is the same TDi engine that is supposedly "cheating" on it's federal emissions tests. Short of a very efficient engine nothing other than witchcraft could get a wagon loaded down with camping gear to and from chatty with so little fuel used. I can't possibly understand how an engine so marvelously efficient could possibly be that bad for the environment since it's burning HALF the fuel or less mile for mile of ANY of the cars currently in my driveway.

I can't speak for gas but I know our office in LA is about 6x per square foot what our office here in Brentwood was, so I imagine a chunk of it is the expense of the lease to stay in business.

   I like to aerate, spread some damp sand and starter fertilizer, then a shade tolerant seed. I'd have to ask our agronomist at lunch to confirm but IIRC our shady spots here on the course  are currently a particular rye.

sucker or not, I've never been let down by a lubricant I used on my firearms so far as actual function of them goes. Only by the lubricant being expensive, dirty, staining clothing or holsters , smelling like something died, ect. I love frog lube b/c it functions well enough, doesn't stain like moly based lubricants, and smells nice enough I could even get away with cleaning firearms on the dining room table before a dinner party! Now I may just try some coconut oil in some of the places it worked so well. :)

I remember a psychology professor once telling me that a very small percentage of the population have an undiagnosed serious mental illness that won't become directly apparent in their actions until a major stressor triggers a sudden behavior change. It sounds like this man was part of that small percentage and something that day triggered this. I hope we learn what it is but I fear we may never know.

The act of the bullet firing forces the slide back, resetting the firing pin, ejecting the spent brass, and drawing a fresh round off the top of the magazine. Then slides the round into the chamber. Without the bang you will have to pull the slide back to reset the action manually.
