  1. I've used one when traveling to states that don't recognize our HCP to lock my luggage on commercial airlines. So at least airlines consider them firearms.
  2. I think the movie depends on your expectations. I thought it was fine, but then again I didn't exactly go in expecting more than a few hours of decent entertainment. Currently listening to Command and Control, still scratching my head on how we didn't end up nuking the entire world merely by accident during the cold war.

  4. I haven't tried to submit, but I can log in and see progress/history on my forms previously submitted before the 13th.
  5. She put together the outfit, I just helped with the helmet(this pic is a loaner she used while I was refinishing hers) by Erik, on Flickr Untitled by Erik, on Flickr "Made" is a little over the top, I did correct and refinish a terrible resin casting. Covering it with a dozen coats of black lacquer then polishing until it looked shiny enough that you might think you could dive in and take a swim. Untitled by Erik, on Flickr I would feel comfortable stating that I built my TK(Stormtrooper) though. It started out looking like the largest plastic model you've ever seen. Hour #1 by Erik, on Flickr Several hours and beers later. . . by Erik, on Flickr Many, many, many more hours (and beers) later it becomes! by Erik, on Flickr
  6. A little painting and wet sanding yet to go but here is a tie pilot nearly there. Untitled by Erik, on Flickr
  7. I think it depends on the shooter's grip preference and hand sizing. For the wife she didn't seem to notice it, I couldn't stand it. That said, cz's willingness to sell a simple 5 min factory fix made it essentially a non issue.
  8. I got my evo carbine a few weeks ago, ran two mags through it and put it away until I could get the parts and fix the safety. Finally got the ambi-delete and the 10 mags I ordered. Hopefully the next range trip will be quite different. Love seeing the upgrades installed OP.
  9. ^This. It is NOT ok to run low octane fuel in all vehicles. Some manufacturers are absolutely serious about the need to run 93 octane or higher. Run 87 in some of the cars I was toying with this weekend and you be looking at a new $50K engine after the detonation under boost trashed the pistons.
  10. I submitted several that week, I'll post up if I hear anything about any of them.
  11. IIRC Any fuel that hasn't had the highway fuel tax applied at time of purchase is illegal to use on public roads. I.E. AV gas, agricultural diesel, ect.
  12. Order arrived last night, all was as expected and received in a timely manner.
  13. It would be shortsighted for criminals to assume that just b/c I play Pokemon GO that I'm unarmed. I believe that many of the players playing late hours around centennial park likely are as well. . .
  14. I got this same error earlier this week(windows 2007 w/ Firefox browser), just wasn't at a computer where I could take the time to cap it and report it at the time.
  15. Have moved several of my larger forums to digital ocean for hosting, it makes for VERY affordable hosting with great latency when configured correctly.
  16. The ORI is the originating institution, Local PDs and Morgues can order the print cards with their own ORI preprinted in that box since they usually submit prints to the FBI directly. In the case of the ATF they want the ORI number to be the ATF's since they will submit them to the FBI in this case. Most places I've been also have totally blank cards they typically use for training, that's the one you want to submit, with the blue or black lines so the ATF can add their ORI and send them in. Or you can wait for the ATF to get more preprinted cards and send them to you.
  17. Last I submitted it was a standard FBI print card, same as used in pretty much any police station or your local morgue.
  18. https://www.atf.gov/file/11281/download Fill it out, print it, sign and date it where applicable, enclose required documentation(copy of trust, print card, photos, ect), and mail it in.(Mail one copy to the ATF and one to our local chief of police/sheriff.)
  19. I lost 15 lbs last year walking VU's campus playing a similar game in my off hours while still on call. There are certainly worse ways they could be spending time these days.
  20. There were literally a line of us at the post office that closed at 9pm mailing out trust/form1 paperwork.
  21. I have an Echo CS-305 I bought about a decade ago for general trimming and smaller trees in the yard that just won't quit. I split ownership of a stihl MS-250 with my father in law b/c neither of us need saw that big very often but it's worth it to have one in the family.
  22. I love my p229s, I'd carry one everywhere if I could but they require a good belt and holster. More often around town I carry my little p238 sas. It's a sweet little pistol that'll conceal easily and is more accurate than I am with it. I grew up carrying a S&W airweight with an ankle holster that my grandfather passed down.
  23. There have been several advances in bullet design in the last few decades. Several are far better in a defensive situation than ball ammo. I use the Lehigh XP after through testing in my p238 I'm confident that they will function should I need them. If they didn't function in my gun I'd likely pick one of the available Hornady xtp loadings I could find locally. Since I'm somewhat OCD I'd love to take time to test my own ammo but since there are guy's like TNoutdoors9 and ShootingTheBull410 to do it for me I just watch their videos and then verify function in my own weapons. I believe this is a truly innovative projectile design for micro pistols chambered in .380, that said it doesn't seem to lend itself to other calibers as well since over penetration is a concern at higher velocities.
  24. If it's an S&G 67XX (Sargent and Greenleaf) it's a quite stout dial lock at least compared to the rest of most consumer marketed safes. I'd worry more about the box it's attached to if anything.
  25. I could probably do that on my CNC if you like, The shelf slots look pretty simple, the .0040" of each side will take a bit to complete since my largest facing bit is a 1/2" but it is also possible. Only worry is it'll like be a bit before I have time to get to it. I'm currently in the middle of cutting a bunch of AL signs for work that take priority ATM.
