  1.     Do you mean Flat dark earth?   FDE lower parts kit example   FDE lower build kit example
  2. I've been eyeing the ranier but the polygonal rifling had me a bit gun shy since I'll be casting my subsonic rounds. I appreciate the heads up on the Alpha Shooting Sports barrel as they weren't' on my watch list yet. . .
  3. Moving right along, got the upper mostly assembled, need to decide on a 10.5" .300blk barrel for the TGO upper. Hope the LPK shows up today.
  4. PSA has blem 16" premium 5.56 uppers for 279.99 today. These include the FN chrome lined barrel, but no BCG or Charging handle, though PSA's full auto BCG is on sale at $109 as part of the AR15 days of christmas. :)   M4 premium upper (blemished)   BCG     I ordered a set for now b/c I can't seem to decide on/find a 10.5" .300blk barrel for my TGO upper and I don't want to rush the build.
  5.    The largest non extended factory p228 mags are the 13 round and they fit just like your 10 rounders.   13 Round factory p228 Mags   Though Meg-Gar makes a 15 round (though I've never tried them)   If you want the capacity of the p226 mags without an aftermarket mag x-grip also makes an adapter to fill the gap.   Adaptor   Allows you to run this factory 15 round p226 mag     If you aren't concerned by a longer mag with a gap I prefer the 18 round mec-gar p226 mags. (flush fit refers to the p226 frame which is longer than your p228)   18 round Mec-Gar p226 mags   Before you get any ideas I already tried it and the xgrip adapter does not quite fill the 18 round mag's gap. :(     Extend the floorplate on an 18 round mag and you get 20 rounds   20 round mec-gar mag     Sig also makes 20 round mags without an extended floorplate   Sig factory 20 round     The p226 X5 had optional 25 round mags, that may very well work in your p228 but I've never actually tried it.    25 round x5 mags     There are many more variations I've seen but most of these I either own and use or have used previously except where noted.
  6. I have a ARFCOM upper assembly block, bench vise, torque wrench, and a standard barrel nut wrench that works with the TGO uppers should any TGOers closer to Brentwood/Franklin need to use them to install their barrels.
  7. I'll be up that way to grab mine soon but it will be a day or two due to work. :(
  8. Mine should show up on someone's doorstep tomorrow.
  9. Saw a woman I assume was texting and driving end up with a bloody nose over the weekend. :) Her brand new cadillac apparently magically stopped for her to avoid a near collision with a dodge ram whose rear end she was following too close, and not being buckled or paying much attention she ended up slamming her face into the steering wheel when the car stopped abruptly from around 30 mph.   While I'm a big car guy and as such generally hate most driver aids this may very well teach some of these idiots(at least the ones who can afford new luxury cars) to pay attention while driving. :woohoo:
  10. Popped into Rural King up here in IL for something else the family needed and stumbled into $15 Ruger BX25 mags(all in stock mags are buy one get one today) and 15% off all in stock ammo. Most ammo ended up slightly cheaper than wal-mart but with far greater selection than the local wal-mart.
  11. The air ambulances were on and off the pads a lot this evening, I'm guessing it's b/c of the combination of weather and people traveling. Didn't see a single military chopper on our pads yet this week, but we had some new military pilots testing out , most of one afternoon last week.
  12. Yep, I used to carry a scanner in my kit but now i'f I'm around town I simply use an APP that works great, even allowed me to listen in to NJ pd during Sandy to help with relief efforts from the comfort of my couch.  The app is 5-0 Radio (for iOS)
  13. Not a lawyer but as I understand it while Federally there is no max pistol barrel length if you want to carry it as a "handgun" in TN there is.   State law defines a “handgun” as “any firearm with a barrel length of less than twelve inches” that is “designed, made or adapted” to be fired with one hand.   TCA 38-11-106
  14. Heck I saw GT6 was being released in December for the PS3 and thought it was a typo on amazon so I wrote it off in the back of my mind, looks like I'll be with the PS3 a bit longer than I anticipated.
  15. I have no interest ATM, my PS3s put out beautiful 1080p at perfectly acceptable frame rates for the games I play currently. I was looking at the ps4 until I saw it doesn't support my Bluetooth head sets out of the box.(WTF!) I'm sure they will fix little stuff like that over time and new games with better looking graphics will eventually draw me to the new console as they always have(GT6 anyone?) but as of launch I don't need/want a PS4 bad enough to justify the cost.   I do like the move in the direction of more PC standard hardware(x86/DDR5) and further improved power though.
  16. YEP. . . A friend is allowing several of us to co-lo our servers in his garage, even with 4 of them running full tilt it barely effects his upload speeds.
  17. It depends on what you want to do at the other end of the covered area, check and occasional email or surf forums it'll likely be fine; stream high quality HD video. . .not so much.
  18. It's a little rough close to downtown(inside 440) after dark(around centennial hospital / Nashville red cross), but gets better the further out from town you get IMO.
  19. I have p239 SAS and 4 non SAS sigs (3 x p229 and a p226). Whether it's worth the price difference to you is a personal decision, but I will say that the SAS is easier for me to reholster in a leather holster due to the rounding of the front corners of the slide. In my kydex/plastic holsters it doesn't seem to make a bit of difference.     As to whether the p938 is worth the cash, A Colt mustang pocketlite was my first carry gun gifted to me by my grandfather and it has served me so well I can't wait to add a p938 to the stable alongside it.
  20. I can't say how it would work for a smaller charge like a single office visit but from what I know of complex hospital procedures(solid organ transplant). . .   Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Totally depends on the provider, the insurance policies, and the insurance companies involved. We often have patients with commercial insurance and tricare(VA insurance) for instance and that helps significantly in many cases, other times we've had patients with 2 commercial insurers and neither wants to pay b/c they each assume the other is the primary. Other times the patient pays the base initial copay($20 or whatever) and the sum is entirely covered by the commercial carriers, as to who pays what % I have no clue how the insurers hash that out nor do I care enough to want to learn I'm sure they have a contract of some sort.   Only way for you to have any real answer is to get the second insurance policy in hand and start asking lots of questions to both companies regarding the interaction of the 2 policies. Document what was said and who said it b/c if you end up in the hospital and the payment doesn't go as planned you'll want that in writing.
  21. I stand corrected(thanks tnguy!), forgot to fill down after modifying the formula slightly.  It was initially set up to determine screen size vs projection distance for my projector so it needed some slight modification to work here. Still pretty large markers at the far end.   50 yards- 1'x1.5' 100 yards- 2'x3' 150 yards- 3'x4.5' 200 yards- 4'x6' 250 yards- 5'x7.5' 300 yards- 6'x9' 350 yards- 7'x18' 400 yards- 8'x12' 450 yards- 9'x24' 500 yards- 10'x15' 550 yards- 11'x16.5' 600 yards- 12'x18'
  22. Excel rarely makes the mistakes for me, it's far more likely I mis-keyed in either entering the formula or transposing the answers if you found an error. :surrender:
  23. 2 injured, suspect in custody after shooting outside Tennessee naval base.
