I love the capacity, but went with a p239 after trying the p224 out. I found I prefer the slightly narrower single stack grip for carry, at least when I was wanting a "little smaller" for carry. Otherwise I just carry my p229.

Business Class is a higher priority traffic on comcast's infrastructure so it almost always trumps any residential customer.(exception is comcast's VOIP traffic which trumps standard internet traffic of both business and consumer class) Stick a lone high use business customer in a residential setting and it makes for what my neighbors are experiencing. Luckily for my neighbors my high use is mid-day when most of the neighbors are at work/school so they are very rarely effected. If my high use were around 6-10pm and they got many more complaints they might take action, but with as small as our neighborhood is I doubt it. Comcast is already essentially breaking net neutrality at the consumer end by prioritizing business customers and voip traffic for QOS and more $$$, but no one generally has a problem with it. Now they will likely do it at the other end as well which will likely be quite a bit more noticeable to the average consumer It only takes around 1200 photos a week from a 5d or a 1d with two photographers sharing a backup solution that's not hard to hit during the busy season. RAW file sizes vary with camera settings and available light but it's not uncommon to have them between 25-35mb each.
-
Keal, I'm not talking the 300gb "we'll charge you extra/send you a warning if you go over cap" they throttle your traffic when you hit over 150gb up in less than a month I used to hit that routinely uploading RAW photo files to my remote backup. After that point I could download a 40gb file from a server in europe faster through a vpn service(with the increased overhead) than I could without, it was a pretty sure thing that the traffic is being throttled and comcast confirmed that before I went over to business. I knew I was slowing down the neighbor's internet b/c their verified speed dips directly corresponded with my peak load times.(evening in the UK and Germany) One of the affected neighbors is a close friend and local firefighter. He cannot game from around 11am-2pm on his days off due to the lag and has had Comcast out twice to try and get it "fixed". He was pretty pissed  when I told him it was probably my fault and we confirmed it, but he calmed down when I told him what the server was doing. :usa: (serving current US TV shows to .mil stationed overseas/downrange)

Comcast consumer already throttles traffic on accounts using near or above the set arbitrary limit each month and on certain types of file transfers. That is one of the reasons I moved to a business account a while back. Of course when I did I moved one of my servers to the house so now I use 10x the bandwidth a month, but not having to pay a co-lo bill every month pays the difference on the bill. I do know my server traffic drags the entire neighborhood's cable internet speeds down a bit but there is nothing the neighbors can do other than switch to DSL. Since they are on cheaper consumer accounts there are no speed guarantees, and I pay a good bit extra for no throttling.

I'm also back to a wrt54gl (after I had both an asus and then a newer linksys give up the ghost) though mine is flashed with DDWRT firmware. The internal wi-fi is turned off and is now handled by a pair of airport expresses though a lot of my internal wired traffic never hits the router since I have a separate cisco catalyst switch which manage all of the LAN traffic from the plex server to the ps3s and aTVs.

My 5.11 belts(4) have served pretty well but the insert failed on one of them, the buckle finish has rubbed off pretty bad on 2 and all have begun to look pretty rough after a few years of daily use.(my wife demanded I replace one of them due to appearance) My next will be all leather bullhide or horsehide no stiffener. I expect it to hold up considerably better than these Chinese made 5.11s, which I only have b/c they were included when you bought "x" pairs of 5.11 pants from LA police gear a few years back. I would NOT recommend these particular 5.11 belts for longevity of appearance but they do carry well for the price.

There isn't a safe made that you can move into your house that can't be gotten into by a pro given some time and the proper tools. That is why a safe is only a last line of defense. Combined with a correctly installed and armed alarm and decent police response time it can prevent a theft, but just the safe is not very secure by itself.

Anyone Nashville local have code reader for Ford RABS Help!!!!!
2.ooohhh replied to BLACKVANDRIVER's topic in General Chat
Most parts stores can only read OBDII emissions codes. There are a lot more modules in most relatively modern cars that the OBDII scanner doesn't communicate with which require factory style diagnostics. -

I believe my scanner(Snap-On Solus) will do it but I need to look through my adapters to verify I haven't misplaced the correct one for your application when I get home. If you can post or link a pic of the diag. port and the specifics of the vehicle it would help me confirm the plug is correct.(there are a bunch of them) If you can't find anyone closer I'm happy to try and help. -
Lessons Learned West Virgina Chemcial Spill Jan 2014

Ours don't get very nasty but that's what the filters are for. I'd much rather filter out some biological(algae) contamination/iodine treat than hope I have a filter for an unknown chemical contamination of the public water supply. -

Rain buckets at the downspouts do great as additional water storage for possible use in a disaster. and they can save a little on your water bills in the summer as you water plants with them to help refresh the supply in the bucket. -
Another thing I wanted to note after looking at my iridium's battery the other night is that it is 2800mah, that's a nearly double what an iPhone 5's battery is so if a device such as the biolite takes 4 hours(guesstimate) of burn time to charge a dead iphone 5 it would require nearly 8 to fully recharge the iridium. Not impossible but likely more time than I would typically care to sit there and feed it firewood. For comparison my solar panel weighs 12 ounces(older brunton) and will charge the iridium in around 3 hours of decent sunlight. Works well laid out on a portage pack in the center of a canoe while you paddle, which makes it nearly convenient.
-
If you are reasonably close to a vehicle you can just leave a spare battery charging in the car. A short hike to the car to swap out batteries every few/every other day is no sweat compared to carrying all the stuff required to maintain a charge indefinitely.
-
Is it the biolite? Neat concept but was quite large/heavy when I demoed one. Could possibly work well in your application though if your not weight sensitive.
-
What was overhead/sky view? Mine lasted around 2 days+ out on the open ocean, but not so much in my wooded back yard testing in the valley I live in.(more realistic to TN backwoods)
-
Also you have to take into account battery life, if you leave a sat phone on waiting for an incoming call it will use a good portion of the battery daily just staying connected to the satellites. Mine lasts around a day and a half in standby at most without recharging. So you'll want to consider the additional weight of a larger solar charger should you want to keep it on in the back country for any amount of time. I keep mine turned off unless I need to call out which makes the battery last essentially as long as I need but from the outside I'm really no more reachable than I would be without the phone.
-
Depends on where the trips are to and for how long. I've carried the phone in remote areas of Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and at sea in the Atlantic. Travelling almost anywhere inside the US I typically just carry a HAM radio or/and my cell phone.
-
Have one, (Iridium) useful if your calling somewhere that the other party has a reliable phone line but you do not. (ie- you are out in the ocean calling someone on land or in parts of south america) I bought mine for a month long unguided trip into BWCA. Not really useful in the US post many types disaster situations due to the regular phone infrastructure likely being down or overloaded. As TNguy said a HAM radio would be FAR more useful to most people in most situations.

By definition an arsenal and a collection are the same, it is only in connotation that they differ. The news media will almost always choose to use arsenal likely for agenda/ratings reasons.

Who do you have your auto and homeowners insurance with?

Liberty Mutual for the house here and the newer cars, Haggerty and Chubb for the older cars. -
I'm just guessing that they showed it off locally. . . Tac-Conâ„¢ 44047 N 43rd Ave #74243 Phoenix, AZ 85087-594 and KingArmory shows Casa Grande, Arizona as his location. (a little over an hour away)

Oh, I can't foresee a reason I'd ever want it at the mall here, but if the mall had a gun shop inside it would certainly be much more likely. Carrying a rifle in TN is not illegal if the rifle is unloaded(and by loaded they mean ammo in the vicinity not necessarily in the weapon) and not concealed on or about the person. 9-17-1308. Defenses to unlawful possession or carrying of a weapon. (a) It is a defense to the application of § 39-17-1307 if the possession or carrying was: (1) Of an unloaded rifle, shotgun or handgun not concealed on or about the person and the ammunition for the weapon was not in the immediate vicinity of the person or weapon; (2) By a person authorized to possess or carry a firearm pursuant to § 39-17-1315 or § 39-17-1351; (3) At the person's: (A) Place of residence; ( B) Place of business; or (C) Premises; (4) Incident to lawful hunting, trapping, fishing, camping, sport shooting or other lawful activity; (5) By a person possessing a rifle or shotgun while engaged in the lawful protection of livestock from predatory animals; - See more at: http://statutes.laws.com/tennessee/title-39/chapter-17/part-13/39-17-1308#sthash.TMrmdWl7.dpuf That said just because you could legally carry an unloaded AR around Nashville doesn't mean that you should. Though if you read the law above carefully there are some discrete backpack cases for ARs that could well be considered "concealed on or about the person".
-
My AR and Shotgun that ride in my truck's rack do not have cases in the truck, though I do have socks that I cover them just to protect from dings when moving them. Should I have to carry one somewhere it would likely be slung over my back unless I had pre-planned reason to bring an empty case for it.(i.e. a range trip or travelling through other less than friendly states)

Dangerous Handgun Fires Near Congresswoman

I saw that and thought: how is it that there is a gunshot indoors at 2:30pm in the state capitol building that no one hears or apparently reports. . .
