Door Devil (Door Reinforcement) Group Buy! (Ends March 16th, 2018.)

Better doors are always nice, and certainly what you've added achieves it's purpose in regards to a particular attack given the door itself holds up(to kicking in the door). As someone who's been interested in locks and lock picking I see far too many people forget that many security features only work if the door remains both closed, and locked. Someone attacking with brute force will force the door open generally with the lock still locked. But what if I point out that someone with VERY little skill, a few readily available keys, and a youtube video or three, could approach your door in broad daylight, bump OR pick that lock once, and REKEY your lock to their key. All in less than 30 seconds while looking like they are just trying to find the right key. Now you come home to a locked door your key won't work in. The thief doesn't have to worry about you coming in behind him, or being able to access the home again. Think if he did this to a door you rarely use for entry such as a side door, back door, or walk through garage door. If you don't ever physically lock that cylinder from the outside you'll never know that it's been rekeyed. (Yes, I've even seen the "newest version" kwickset released while it's MUCH more secure than Gen1 it's still a far cry from a real lock.) Kwickset are some of the least secure locks on the planet due to their design to hit a given pricepoint, then they redesigned them to be rekeyable dubbing them "smart keys". I'm not sure which word is more atrocious calling them "locks" in the first place or calling the open rekeyable keyway that's been around for decades "smart". If I'm looking for a good affordable way to keep a door closed the yale jimmy proof deadbolt comes to mind. Reasonably stout protection against prying, jacking, and kicking when properly installed. Add a much more secure bilock cylinder to it and you're really on to something. If you just want a Deadbolt Upgrade the guy at security snobs sell the best locks available the available. One thing Ill point out about the Abloy with lockable thumbturn deadbolt, if it's all locked up you won't be going out that door as a theif, unlike many cheaper locks where the lock can be quickly unmounted from the door with a pair of phillips head screws from the inside of the door, on the abloy they are locked UNDER the stainless steel thumb-turn cylinder. In a commercial environment, install an abloy lockable thumb-turn deadbolt equipped with a restricted keyway and the upgraded expanding bolt into a steel door and frame. It starts to look easier to get through the cinderblock wall next to the door. -

Looks ok for kicking but doesn't stop them from jacking the door frame open, and still leaves the door vulnerable with a kwickset on it. -
In my vehicles I generally have a stout FAK in the trunk/hatch, while my daily also has a smaller kit specific to a GSW attached with Velcro behind the driver's headrest. Behind Headrest by Erik, on Flickr YELLOW BOX! by Erik, on Flickr It's this kit from Chinook I purchased it a few years back with excess FSA funds I had to blow before year end. Exterior FAK Reflective Label by Erik, on Flickr Speaking on vehicle first aid kits, here are a few pointers I've come to follow over the years. Make sure it's CLEARLY labeled/identifiable (remember it may not be you grabbing it). Mount it/fix it/label it. Mine's the ONLY yellow box in my truck, and it's ALWAYS on the right side under the FAK label affixed to the rear door. If i'm involved offering aid to someone I can't take to my truck, I can tell any able bodied adult GO GRAB THE YELLOW FIRST AID KIT FROM THE BACK OF MY TRUCK! and know exactly what they will come back to me with with and what it contains. When I'm traveling longer distances, camping, or expecting to be driving in the backcountry where medical care will be more than an hour away I have an additional kit which is more comprehensive that I throw in which covers more comprehensive things which could ruin a trip. This will vary by your experience and training but to give an example in my case on a camping trip a few years back we had a few of the family dogs get into it, not terrible but one had a gash that needed attention. From my little blue bag I handed a veterinarian camping with us sutures, irrigation saline, and a pair of sterile gloves. He had the couple grab some iodine from the local wally world for good measure on the cleaning of the fur around it and stitched it up. Needless to say it saved anyone having to cut the trip short which is exactly the type thing I have it in there for. "the extras" by Erik, on Flickr

Marsha never even made the list, but a few years ago I finally dropped Chuck, and Chad as guilty by association.

I'm more concerned with local TN law eliminating the local municipalities from offering broadband as a public utility to their residents. Chattanooga is one of the best networked cities in the country, and as soon as Comcast and AT&T could they lobbied and pushed through a law ensuring that it would be the only one in the state.

I'll toss in Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Defenders, as well if you like comic books, or the feel of Daredevil or The Punisher.(Iron Fist was kinda a flop IMHO) The first three seasons of Gotham are on there, as well. Also on Amazon via prime, I've enjoyed The Grand Tour, The Marvelous Mrs. Maizel, and The Man in the High Castle.

Excellent advice as usual willis! I only posted that link as it was the first search result in my results, I have no clue where my coworker procured it but it's been a good little knife to add to my mix despite that I also generally prefer no serrations in my daily carry. -
It will be VERY interesting to see how states choose to attempt to challenge this. I think given recent precedent they stand to be handed a big loss should they challenge the extension of one's second amendment rights across state lines. Also looking into case law regarding the 10th, it could go either way. The supreme has both struck down home state responsibility in interstate dealings with NY v. US in 1992, and they struck down the fed's attempt to force local LEO's to run background checks for the Brady Bill (Printz v. United States 1997) so it will be interesting to say the least.

I see that you have no issues since you're already doing that. I took a different approach, and I don't want the implications of a law requiring politician defined "secure storage" of a firearm/ammo. Sure it could go the way of the airline regulations for securing a firearm in transit, but it could also swing the other way and be FAR worse. Picture the government telling you that the retired vending machine you use for storing ammunition isn't on the "approved list of storage cabinets" b/c it doesn't have an approved lock. Never-mind that the "T" handle has a grind, pick, and drill resistant high security abloy cylinder in it now. -
Have purchased 2 guns from them, no issues either time.

I had a little EDC pocket organizer from this guy, held my pen, flashlight, and knife with no damage to dress pants pockets. https://www.etsy.com/shop/BushgearLeatherworks Congrats on the new gig BTW! I will point out that now that you work a desk job, I encourage you to concentrate less on what you can't carry in your fancy new pants, and instead concentrate on what you can fit into your new briefcase! -
People simply don't know gun laws
2.ooohhh replied to macville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
AS much as I'd love to fault people for not knowing gun laws, I'm a very active pro gun person who carries who frequently crosses state lines. With a college level education and extreme familiarity searching the internet I can barely keep up with the states I'm traveling to/from and constant changes to their laws. The sheriff in the county I own a business in in IL didn't even accurately explain their new HCP process to me in passing last year, and he's supposed to be one of the ones enforcing it! -

Searching for info about Nashville hope some one can help

I tossed my craftsman professional on craigslist, before it I had cheap harbor freight(dumpster). When actually chock full of tools the harbor freight had issues with the slides locking up, on the craftsman while the slides were better, the drawers sagged in the center of the span enough to catch the drawer below and not allow opening. This occurred to the point I was having to open 2-3 drawers to get my socket drawer open, which with the three heaviest upper drawers open also became a tipping risk. I bought the others before I was a full time mechanic, but I didn't run out an buy a snap on just because it was shiny. I actually liked MAC's boxes a little better but we just didn't have a reliable route rep for them, and my snap-on rep gave me a great price on a repossessed snap on, which got upgraded by my insurance when a customer hit my first snap on box with their car. Not saying a cheaper box won't work for lots of mechanics, but they just didn't cut it for me, at least when I was working out of them full time.

My box paid itself off several times over throughout my career wrenching, and I'm proud to still have it for my hobbies paid off in full. I do love that snap-on royal blue though. IMG_5754 by Erik, on Flickr

I have a Sparc II, Love it for what it cost, though it's a tad large compared to some I've used.

I've always kept cash in my safe or my truck, I never carry much on my person if any. Only reason i keep a moderate amount of cash nearby is I've gotten crazy deals on cars and guns when people get emotional about them. Otherwise I wouldn't keep any.
