Pilot was great, sitting down for the second episode now.

The difference with streaming providers such as netflix, is that they know what type of content the audience wants going in via search input, and they can give it to each minute segment of their viewership without having to worry about it being cancelled b/c they couldn't sell the ad time within the content. So long as "x" viewers said "I'm keeping netflix this month because of sense8" it was considered a win.

Memphis Park Called A "Public Recreation Area"
2.ooohhh replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Yep, same as the state parks a few years back the text of the bill was that current signage in parks didn't have to be changed until it happens in the course of regular maintenance to avoid a fiscal note. So there are a LOT of signs around currently that are blatantly incorrect. -
More people legally carrying knives or guns is better than less. While I hate to see guns become a fashion statement, if that's what it takes to get them legally on the hips of the next generation I'd rather that then not have any of them carry. I would hope if they start carrying firearms for fashion and utility that they come up with less gaudy pistols than some of the examples hollywood has given them.
-
I guess a great deal of my answer has to do with my employment, if I found it at the local gas station or out in public where it's legal to have sure turn it right in to the police, if it's where I work where it's against policy and questionable if it's even legal to possess on the hospital grounds and we have staff only bathrooms/locker rooms I wouldn't want a coworker to get fired if I could help it and I'd hope someone would do the same for me. Also reporting finding a pistol in the OR locker room is the fastest way I can think of to make stupid new rules be implemented such as requiring the VUPD to actually see why I beep when I walk through the metal detector at the entrance to the ED.

I would make a concerted effort to return it to it's rightful owner, likely by posting it somewhere such as TGO. Until the time at which it was successfully claimed I would likely keep it in the safe. For all you know it was dumped due to use in a recent crime/reported stolen so I certainly wouldn't try to pawn it.

Since we've cut the cord I rarely even see commercials unless we're watching live sports. Occasionally I'll be caught off guard when I hear coworkers talking about something on TV and I'll think I'm missing some great new series or something, 9 times out of 10 it's some stupid commercial they thought was great. :yuck: :squint: :stunned:

I've had great luck with a smartcarry in most scrubs for smaller pistols.(p238, S&W J-frame snub) Kangaroo carry was alright but doesn't work so well for my shape(rounder in the middle than I would prefer). Ankle carry was ok but I didn't like how tight the bottoms of some scrub pants are which made access/printing a challenge.

On some drones you loose a lot of features if you disable the GPS such as the ability to autopilot to "home" and land in case of a remote control issue. Building a drone that can ignore a no fly zone is getting pretty easy at this point in time though. I have a friend who's much less tech savvy then I and he's about done with a 3d printed open source 3 rotor drone that he'll only have a couple hundred bucks in for fun.
-
3dr is far from launching their "first" drone since they have had drones marketed in the commercial mapping space for a few years now. ;) The solo is their first drone marketed to the consumer. I do agree with hozzi that I wouldn't hold out for gopro's offering though. If it's anything like dremel's entry into 3d printing it'll just be a rebadged 3dr or DJI anyway.

Running a surfboard 6141 with a ubiquity edge router lite. Couldn't be happier. The ubiquity router is similar to tomato or ddwrt in it's advanced capability but some may not like that it requires configuration before use. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Removing the plans from the internet(not that they could) is about 3 steps too late. The genie is already out of the bottle. My 12yr old niece can accurately model ANYTHING I hand her in solidworks in minutes with just a dial caliper and some printed sizing tools. 20 min. later the 3d printer is warming up to spit out a model of it to her liking. Last february she had never seen solidworks and had just received the 3d printer a week prior for her birthday. She came over this weekend for a family pool party and was more excited about me printing a few models that won't fit on her printbed than she was about the pool. When I called to order a CNC router last week I was told it won't ship for nearly a month. I assumed it was due to the new model I ordered not being quite ready, the owner corrected me. . . it's that they can only ship around 80 kits a DAY! By my math there are just shy of 2000 CNC router orders ahead of mine for a relatively high end(for a consumer model) US manufactured CNC router. That's phenomenal IMHO and I'm super happy to see it. TLDR-"Files" of printable AR lowers should be the least of their worries.

High impact polystyrene (HIPS) Vs Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS) Vs Acrylic-polyvinyl chloride(Kydex) All of which are types of thermoplastics commonly used by hobbyists for projects.
-
I use a vacuum system for forming ABS sheet and HIPS but have yet to try kydex, would probably be great for the thinner kydex though.

PM me if you still need help, happy to assist if either of our dealerships can.

Waze, is the best traffic routing app I've found. Allows users to report cops, traffic, wrecks, ect.

Half tempted to start a gofundme to buy the officer a belt. Also carried my pistol to games every day for a little over a week at spring training and while they checked the hell out of my wife's purse.(god forbid she sneak in outside food or drinks) I never received so much as a second glance, much less a pat down.

I'll shoot you a PM as soon as I get it off the ground. I'm also very interested in the comparison since my first quad was an early DJI. -

Thanks for posting this Hozzie, My new quad is supposed to ship this week and I can't wait for it to arrive. It'll be my first capable of carrying a decent camera and shooting with a single operator. -
I'm on an old Sprint sero plan that was upgraded to sero premium 2 renewals ago, that I've managed to hang onto for around 10 years now. I bought into $10 a month "unlimited premium data" when I was carrying around a Palm treo 650 and unlimited still meant UNLIMITED.
