  1.     Sure, currently sipping on a rum and coke featuring Briney Gold shipwreck spiced rum. Reasonably balanced straight for a spiced rum. but I highly recommend it with Mexican coke and a fresh lime wedge. Straight lately I've been sipping on the Zafra master reserve.
  2. Just depends where you routed the crossover line, the one I did had it under a hatch in the flat bed. Sounds like rerouting both to one spot is better in your case.
  3.  One solution I've used before is to mount a 1/4 turn valve in the line between the bags. Open valve on level ground to fill and balance, then close valve for isolation and stability during travel.
  4.   Some vehicles/tow combos really prefer separate air lines for each bag. This allows the bags to function more like the leaf springs; with the "T" in there air can transition from one bag to the other in sweeping turns as the suspension loads to one side. If they are independent each will be capable of helping it's side to resist the sway.
  5. Some dealers pass it on to the consumer others pay it from the proceeds of the vehicle's sale. It is completely legal to do so and many dealerships do, but IMHO if the customer is paying the sales and use tax, the business tax from running the dealership falls on me.   https://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/revenue/attachments/98-34ms.pdf
  6.   With the air powered vacuum style they typically will work with as little as 3-4 CFM(at least my blue-point one will) but work MUCH better with higher airflow. Having owned the blue-point vacuum style, a mighty-vac, and the motive I still wholeheartedly recommend the motive for bleeding brakes. I keep the Blue-point around for hydraulic clutches and the occasional air over hydraulic lift cylinder issue in some exotics but otherwise I'm reaching for the motive if I'm bleeding brakes.
  7. Absolutely incorrect. Sorry but Dot 3 / Dot 4 brake fluid is hygroscopic, it will readily absorb moisture from the air. If it's been in your car for two years or more it's often absorbed enough water to drastically reduce it's boiling point causing a spongy pedal after prolonged braking and promoting the rusting of brake components from within. Drive a car capable of boiling the fluid hard enough and you"ll change your tune after experiencing the pedal fade away when you need brakes the most. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Close it's a 2014 458 Italia Speciale in "Rosso Coburn" a one off color ordered through the taylor made program in Maranello. It's an amazing color to watch as the light conditions change. Pictures don't do that car justice. Here's one from it out in the sun at Cars and Coffee .
  9. Looks like a really good with the bigger tires.
  10. As an owner of both I will advise that the motive is worlds better than the mitivac at bleeding brakes. I can fully flush a system in 15 min with the motive, and it moves enough fluid to bleed even the most frustrating of calipers.
  11.   I was hitting it in about 2 weeks before I switched to comcast business, now I don't even bother to look b/c I have no cap. Was around 3tb of throughput a month last I looked.
  12. Sad to hear that the Weller 12 is going to be so hard to come by for another year. I got really lucky a few weeks ago, even though I didn't really know it at the time.
  13. Stumbled into a few bottles of Weller 12 this evening, an old favorite that I haven't seen on the shelves in a few years. It will be nice to have a bottle back on the bar.
  14. No affiliation, they've just taken really great care of our scout troop anytime we need anything like straps, webbing, or velcro.   http://www.strapworks.com/product_p/vow.htm
  15. If you can't find them pre-made I know strapworks has built very similar straps for our scout troop in the past to our specs for velcro tie-downs.   https://www.strapworks.com/Articles.asp?ID=109
  16. Happy to help you do it if you want to DIY, I have a lift/shop/tools. Shoot me a PM if interested, shop is located in Brentwood.
  17.  Tim Cook is already beyond talking about privacy, Apple has already implemented end to end encryption in iMessage beginning with iOS 8. They are running to real encryption platform wide as fast as they can to keep from being seen in a bad light when they are forced to hand over users' data by court order.   https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2015/09/10/apple-imessages-end-to-end-encryption-stymies-us-data-request/   Any company who's being threatened by the DOJ, FBI, or the NSA for being "too secure" is doing something right in my book. :)   http://www.csmonitor.com/Technology/2015/0909/Justice-Department-considered-suing-Apple-over-iMessage-encryption   http://www.newsfactor.com/story.xhtml?story_id=022002OGBQBO
  18. I ordered tires last Monday since they don't stock my size or type of tires most of the year but I was anticipating a sale  so I just crossed my fingers that my tires would qualify. Got the basic $100 rebate but was excluded from the additional $70 from Bridgestone b/c they exclude "competition tires". (lame)   Got them mounted Friday when the store opened since the manager preferred I pull my own car in due to the manual brakes. After just shy of a hundred hard miles on them this morning I highly recommend the Bridgestone RE-71Rs if you're looking for a tire for a lighter sports car the doesn't see much rain.
  19. I have a set of Oakleys (Whiskers with the darkest non polarized lens they offer) as well as a set of Ray Bans. (RB8301 with aftermarket polycarbonate safety lenses) Completely satisfied with both but neither came cheap.
  20. With many of the services you can really dramatically reduce your bandwidth by adjusting the quality settings. I know on some devices(my PS3s) Netflix defaults to best quality that was pulling lots of data but by knocking it down one notch it dropped by over half and neither the wife nor I can tell the difference on any screen in the house short of the very large projection screen in the theater.
  21. At Google I/O they said it would be over a year before we saw any homes hooked up. The Google office is still under construction off Division, but looks to be making good progress last I drove by.
  22.  I see you're a veteran, you may remember a VA laptop being stolen from an unattended car/home with lots of your(and every other service member's) personal data on it. My bag often contains similar sensitive information that I need to do my job even when I'm away from work for a day or two. I'm sure you can appreciate that I would rather have my eyes on it than leave in an unattended car to possibly be stolen.
  23.   Roku is my go-to box to recommend to new cord cutters, followed closely by Amazon's fireTV. That advice assumes you don't already have a PS3, AppleTV or either of the aforementioned boxes.  It also assumes you are relatively new to digital content. If you already own a hundred+ movies on one of the big three,[Apple, Amazon, or an Ultraviolet compatible service (such as Vudu)] then you should choose a box that is compatible with your content.   Other streaming boxes such as smart TVs and blu-ray players are a crapshoot as to whether they have currently, will continue to have, or will ever receive different services as they are released.           Google Fiber is still being built out around town, they haven't actually connected any neighborhoods here yet. Expect Comcast to start accelerating the rate at which they discount as the first neighborhoods are connected and actually receive service as that is when it has occurred in other google fiber markets. The media will be covering the rollout as it gets close, and Comcast PR will be working overtime to put up what appears to be a competitive front.
  24. Discussed at length previously at. . .   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/85360-have-any-of-you-cut-your-cable/#entry1235253   Since my last update to a cord cutting thread, we have officially dropped Hulu entirely. We now pay for Netflix, Amazon Prime(wife's work covers it for the shipping), MLB@bat, HBO Now, and Showtime's new offering as of last month. Total came to $43.98 last I did the math(even counting the prime), but EVERY show or movie we watch at home is entirely commercial break free so it's worth every penny to me. I haven't paid for a month of Showtime yet but unless I find more content I have to have on it I doubt I will pay once the free trial is up. I can start/stop the HBO, Showtime, and Nexflix individually from month to month if I find myself not watching enough content to be worth the fee. I used to OTA but got tired of skipping commercials so I buy the few shows I watch on amazon typically using credits I collect getting stuff shipped free for work.
