1. If those were the features I wanted on a new p226 that's a pretty fair price imho. It's not too far off spec of one of my p229s and I didn't get there any cheaper piece by piece. Here's what my bits for an older p229 ran roughly to compare to a legion pistol. G10 grips- $100 Extra factory mag-$50 Factory SRT bits- $50 Fresh night sights-$69 So a custom coat job and you've dropped a solid chunk forward a legion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
2. $39.99 less 15% so around 33 before tax. The market for liquor up here is SO different than Nashville it's hard to wrap my head around at times. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
3. Oh, they never stopped singing this morning. Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (139.8 proof) Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (135.6 proof) Elmer Russell's reserve rye single barrel Angel's Envy rum cask finished rye Pampero(b/c I hadn't tried it and Mike suggested it) Couple older bottles of zaya b/c I hate the new blend And flora 18yo b/c it was in the clearance bin for a screaming good deal.
4. Also the pampero aniversario is available here if anyone on TGO would like a bottle.
5. I love taking the wife home for the holidays. :)
6. Honestly vacuum sealing isn't worth the hassle IMHO. I bought a few hundred desiccant packs off amazon and just drop a few in each ammo can with the ammo after I coat them in carnauba wax via a quick dry tumble.
7. I've seen ammo in proper ammo cans stand up to floods, tornadoes, falling out of trucks, and decade after decade of storage. I can't imagine why I would use anything else for storing ammo.
8. Merry Christmas!
9. I often wish I could buy pistols sans mags. I already have over a dozen p226 mags, why should I have to have the price of my next p226 variant inflated by "x" mags I don't need.
10. Highest gain "commercial" 2.4ghz antenna for the least amount of cash outlay is the cantenna. It's based on a Pringles can and can be made DIY but they are available premade below.   http://www.cantenna.com/     That and a decent router flashed with DDWRT or Tomato firmware and you should be in business assuming you have clear line of sight between your places.   I've helped make a pair of $50 linksys routers communicate over 5 miles LOS with nothing but elevation(telephone pole at each end) and better antennea array, no amps needed for WiFi.    Here's another DIY option that can yield amazing results for the cost.   http://www.engadget.com/2005/11/15/how-to-build-a-wifi-biquad-dish-antenna/
11. The base data is so far off it's laughable.   Below are the volume of approved firearm purchase background checks run through TICS the past five years as reported by the state.   2014- 366,416 2013- 405,234 2012- 444,123 2011- 334,720 2010- 286,104   Cumulative total approved transactions by TICS as of the end of 2014-  3,887,916    That would put our state at 599 guns per 1000 population.   Registered NFA weapons as of March 2014 in TN were 73,320 per the ATF which is where I think they got their flawed figure.   Sources- https://www.tn.gov/tbi/article/firearm-background-checks   https://www.atf.gov/file/3336/download
12. http://www.bigskyracks.com/   Have a few of their racks in some of our vehicles.
13. My santa did their research, and I now have another awesome addition to my ever growing alox daily carry family. I've already found uses for the new tools included on the pioneer that I didn't know I needed until this weekend. :woohoo: Untitled by Erik, on Flickr
14. Mall shooting stopped by permit holder- http://www.kgw.com/story/news/2014/07/24/12402226/   School shooting stopped by asst. principal with a pistol in truck- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_High_School_shooting   School shooting stopped by dance hall owner with shotgun (assumed from vehicle)- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parker_Middle_School_dance_shooting
15. Yep keep your eyes open, when Weller 12 hits the shelves it is usually gone inside a week or less so if it's there when you are you best grab one so long as the price is right. I picked up a case a few months back and it only took me a few hours to pass off all the extra bottles but one which I passed to a member in need here. It's not amazing overall, but at the $30 price mark there is little comparable.
16. Bought my mom a nice precor about 12 years back, she walked miles on it every other evening until she passed away, now it's my wife's and though she only uses it in the winter when it's dark after work or on bad rainy days she still puts around a few hundred miles on it a year. Not that a cheap one won't work for walking/jogging but if you ever graduate to running at a decent pace the longer and better built footbed of a commercial treadmill will serve you much better if you're actually going to use it.
17. I was also added to the list recently, I had no clearance in the brief time I was in but thanks to my volunteering to help out those in need at the VA(and requiring clearance to to so) my information is now out there as well. IMHO this is potentially one of the greatest threats to continuing to provide quality medical care to our vets. It's hard enough as it is to get med student's interested in taking rotations at the VA.
18. Done!
19.   Yep from what I've seen, commercial airline customers in general have an unrealistic expectation of what it should cost them to fly from place to place.
20.   I often prefer wheated bourbon or ryes for old fashions, favorites ATM are Weller Reserve or Jefferson Rye. I also wouldn't turn one down with Fours roses Small batch, or Blanton's as KahrMan suggests.
21. Doubt you could pay me enough to put up with a commercial flight this close to the holidays. They suck enough already the rest of the year.     I hope your's goes as smoothly as is possible.
22. Sure it's a p226 mag? Later p229 frames use wider mags than early p229 and p228.
23. Business liability insurance is higher than ever, if it lowers the premium, why not?
24.   Wal-mart has opened their stores to the public. That's why you don't need a membership or an invite to shop there. Now Wal-mart(or a wal-mart employee) could ask you to stop taking pictures or ask you to leave since it is their property and they can set their own rules for the general public to follow while on property.
25. Nope. Totally legal to take people's pictures in a public location and post them online so long as you aren't selling them directly or using them for profit for profit. IE you can post to facebook but were you utilizing the picture in an advertisement on facebook for your talent agency you'd need the subject's permission.
