We are going to get ready for the Cup Match so get ready for difficult, interesting and a lot of movers for the next several matches.   Stage 2 was fun.....I thought. I figured people would complain about the no-shoot behind poppers on three.

Scores are out and should be on the site shortly. It was hot but bearable. That was one of the "most funnest" matches I have shot in awhile, if I do say so myself. :cool: Of course it is always fun when you are shooting well. Congrats to 9mmNorma for the overall win with Jeff S.right behind and HOGNUT, jmecklen and Me rounding out the top five.

Well that's still a test drive.

We are going to test drive the new rule book with this match. Good mix of short strings, technical and hoser stages. New, safe shooters are always welcome.

I bomber into low cover a little too hard. Knees are carpet burned. I have 13 seconds to get rid of by Oct. 1st to make "paper" Master. Now if my match times would pick up I would be happy.

Great match today. I shot my best classifier yet. Thanks to Robert for a great day shooting.

Rained all the way to the range and then quit. :D  Pretty nice day for shooting. Big thanks to all who came out. And even bigger thanks to all those who helped out.

So now we are playing horseshoes? No. New rule says obviously and visibly. I want it straight with the slide. My point is it is no longer a warning.

First finger call is a PE. Second is a DQ. Some people "hover" their finger outside the guard. I still say finger then because it looks close. Or the HK's with the mag release on the guard. Tough calls.

That's one of the few changes that I like, I'd actually prefer one and done. Hognut says he likes it to. I think it may run off people. Two finger calls does not equal a 180º call or a dropped gun.

"Finger" call is a PE. Second one is a trip to DQ. Seems a little harsh.

I am curious to see how a match runs. You can dump to get into a better reload position. Maybe it will even out. "Shooter Ready" will be hard to quit saying. "Eyes and ears range is hot" before every shooter is a little much.
