  1. Man, that's really sad. I hate to hear it.
  2. Yes you do! I like the way it shoots and it's more accurate than I anticipated, but like most small guns with my big hands, it just ain't comfy. The plastic grips rubbed me raw between the thumb and index finger too. If I ever wanted to carry it, I'd invest in some fancy wooden grips.
  3. I still don't wanna mess it up! If I get a few minutes here soon, I might look around the web for some polishing ideas. I've heard of many people effing up their ramps with dremel tools, so I'm gonna guess that's out...
  4. Wow. Only a little over 5 times the price of the gun itself!
  5. I think it took me about 2 weeks to get mine, but it's been a while so I could be wrong. The more you want it, the longer it takes to arrive.
  6. You couldn't even convince yourself to vote for your gun??? Congrats photoguy!
  7. I bought a LWD barrel for my G19 to shoot lead. So far, just like the OEM barrel, it's more accurate than I am. To the OP, I'm glad you like the barrel. I was shocked when I saw the thread title, but was pleasantly relieved to read the original post.
  8. Welcome to TGO!

    New Toy

That's good to know. I've seen pics of that model with the flat bottom and with the 17 rounder, but they didn't look near as good as the picture above!
  10. I definitely like it. How long did it take you to make it?
  11. I like this one. I think it could also apply for liberals.
  12. I'd never suggest you getting one of those. I would, however, suggest you getting BOTH.
  13. Does it work as good as it looks??

    New Toy

That's probably the best lookin' Ruger SR I've ever seen! I think it's that grip extension I like. I don't know much about Ruger's SR line. Does that extension come with it or is it aftermarket?
  15. Has anyone purchased one of the P-38s that SOG has had for sale for a while? Kinda curious just how good of condition they're in. SOG has always impressed me, but a buddy of mine bought one of the Garands they were selling a while back (before the most recent shipment) and he said it was the most beat up hunk of junk he's ever seen try to pass as a rifle. I haven't seen it yet, but am rather curious how bad it is.
  16. I've always thought those guns were atrocious looking. Like the Hi-Points of their day. Keep in mind that they are 38S&W, not 38 Spl, so ammo is a bit harder to come by (no running down to Wally World for a box before your trip to the range).
  17. I didn't fire mine as it came. I replaced the hammer spring with the 17lb Wolff and headed to the range a week or so ago. It fired fine, but I did have two failures to feed with the Silver Bear HP's. It really needs a good polish job on the ramp. I have no doubt that after it gets that, it'll run like a champ. Any suggestions on feed ramp polishing? There are some smiths in the Memphis area, but I don't have a clue what the going rate would be...
  18. 70below's info is right on (like always). The info I made bold is one thing that a lot of C&R holders do not realize. If your neighbor across the street sells you his old Victor Plain shotgun and you don't need your C&R to buy it from him, you still gotta log it in. Now hurry up and get that C&R!
  19. Good luck, Frontier! Sounds like you have a fine business there and I hope you overcome the issues with the contractor!
  20. Hopefully these things will soon come to their attention. Starting a business isn't easy. I'd hate to see anyone go out of business.

    SUPER BOWL

Hasn't the 2010 Super Bowl already been played? I'm not really much of a sports guy, but that game kinda sticks out. Back in the day, you used to see good (funny) commercials...
  22. Looks like y'all had fun. I love takin' the lady to the range. Just wish she wanted to go more often!

    Pain meds

You are! Oh, wait... was I supposed to wait for the official thread??
  24. Nice poll. However, there is more than one correct answer.
