  1. I think most are still done that way (at least most of the packages I get daily). Although, I think if you report it "not delivered", you're just s**t out of luck.
  2. Yeah, snopes shows that the overall idea of the letter is the same, but some folks, during forwarding, added stuff about Obama.
  3. The criminals are always using common carriers to do their dirty work. The closest I've come to being the victim of identity theft was through a fraudulent UPS account. I had to deal with scammers opening an account in my name and sending out counterfeit USPS money orders and counterfeit checks to their partners in crime across the US. Imagine my shock when I started getting return envelopes from UPS that had labels that appeared to come from ME! Opening them up as they came in, I kept finding counterfeit stuff. Had to call UPS to close the account (that I never opened!) as well as file a police report to cover my ass.
  4. Well in that case, Deerslayer has the correct advice!
  5. That's what I would do if they were delivered by carrier. The OP kinda led me to believe there was no shipping label. Just a name.
  6. Then you take it to the nearest douche neighbor's house and leave it on his front door.
  7. The problem with that - they blow the freakin' package up. I would just open it up. It's likely to be another life-size "doll" from Jackdm3.
  8. I'm not saying that they should build a mosque there. Personally, I'd be happy if all of 'em fell off the face of the earth. I'm just saying it's not gov's job to stop it. If they did, how could we expect it to end there? What if our Muslim (oh that's right, he says he's not ) president decided tomorrow that he'd start dictating where the Jews built synagogues?
  9. What exactly does everyone propose we do to prevent this mosque being built? I have to admit that I haven't exactly been following this story. I've been catching bits & pieces about how our politicians should be doing something about it. This is America. The gov has no right to tell someone they can't build a church, mosque, synagogue, etc anywhere they want. That's protected by the same freedoms that Islamic terrorists hate. Do I think that it is sickening that they want to build a mosque there? Yes. Do I think it's insensitive? Yes. Would I expect vandalism and other sorts of crime commited against the building and those worshipping there? Given the (understandable) hate that many Americans (expecially NYC'ers) feel towards Islam, probably so. I don't care for Islam one bit, but I'll stand firmly for their right to build anywhere the same as I would for a Baptist church.
  10. Welcome to TGO, Matthew! If you end up clearing out a range, you might have more friends than you ever expected!
  11. Sounds about right, you old fart. Wait... 38?? My dyslexia had kicked in on me. 83 made much more sense.
  12. OK. Scott is a stand-up guy. I figured he'd address the issues, explain any questions, fix any problems, etc.
  13. Yep. And like most other things, it's cheaper to buy in quantity. You can get a heck of a deal on a 6 pack there...
  14. So were concerns addressed at the shoot yesterday? I heard Scott was going to be there.
  15. 60? How did you not get rear-ended? I thought the minimum speed limit was 90 on the Autobahnconna...
  16. +100
  17. Thank goodness you're not in Memphis. If you were, I'd have to say you were pretty stupid. Doing 40 anywhere will get you plowed over!
  18. Well, and the obvious registration issues that may arise with the tag query (expired tags, stolen, etc.).
  19. :clap::clap::woohoo::woohoo: Congrats!
  20. I need a ride!! That place is beautiful. Haven't been there in years. I think it's time to go again...
  21. I actually got to hear him (and meet him in person). Heck of an honor. Here's the thread I did after I met him. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/42605-great-honor.html
  22. In Memphis, that's 5 out of every 4 cars...
  23. Nope. Nothing can go below 35% except for the factory tinted glass. And then you can't put anything over it. Also, I think you're confused about what the percentage means. "35%" is the VLT (Visible Light Transmittance). That is the amount of light that comes through (65% is blocked). 15% is darker than 35%. This is the exact wording from the TCA - "Any motor vehicle bearing commercial license plates". So basically, if the tag has a little "H" in the number it's ok. There are other commercial tags, but those are the most common.
  24. If you put something on your windows that you can't see through, well, umm... Momma always told me not to say anything if I can't say anything nice...
