  1. The way I understand it, they had 12/21/2012 as TEOTPCBWNGTSHAWOACFE (The End Of This Particular Calendar Because We're Not Going To Sit Here And Write Out A Calendar For Eternity). People read way too much into stuff.
  2. Because he's elected. Make enough of a stink (get enough folks on board) and it might help. Still not a guarantee. I remember taking my wife there and we started dating in May of 2002. So sometime around 2002 or 2003.
  3. Welcome to TGO
  4. Kinda looking at deer hunting in MS this year. I've looked at the MDWFP website and cannot find anything about tagging / checking deer like TN does. Do they not have to tag or check deer, or did I miss something on the website?
  5. I still can't figure out how you're only getting 25k. I average about 60k on a set of tires. My wife used to have a Nissan Xterra. Didn't replace tires 'til about 65k, IIRC.
  6. It's okay - Glock23ForMe has a Radar/Lidar/Buck/Doe detector. What could go wrong?

    It is Official...

Hate to hear it man. Nothing good comes from stress, but I know better than say not to worry. You have my best wishes!
  8. The last set on my wife's truck got about 600 miles. Shortly after buying new tires, she decides it's time for a new car.
  9. Yep folks. Watch out for them things. Ok, well you can't really watch much since they're the animal equivalent of a ninja, but drive carefully when you're near woods. I see several deer vs. car crashes each year and neither side wins. Here in a couple months it's gonna get worse, too. Them boys ain't payin' much attention during the rut.
  10. Welcome to TGO!
  11. Don't get as comfy with that fancy lidar detection as you are with radar detection. It's an awesome way to find out you've already been nailed. If you get to come ride with me, I'll explain how it all works. It's not nearly as awesome as the box made it sound.
  12. People like you are the reason people like me have Lidar...
  13. As far as rates going up - it's just going to depend on a multitude of factors. Primarily your insurance company's policies. In regards to the reckless driving comments, I'll say this. Police, prosecutors, and judges all love the magic number of "25" over the speed limit. However, speed alone does not constitute reckless driving. To meet the statutory definition of reckless driving, one has to show a willful and wanton disregard for the safety of others or property. If you are doing 95 in a 55 on the expressway at 2a.m. and no one is around, does it meet the definition? Probably not. Can you be doing far less than 25 over in certain circumstances (school zones for example) and be found "reckless"? You betcha. Can you be going 15 under the speed limit drunk as a skunk and meet the definition of "reckless driving"? Every time. Don't get caught up watching for a certain number.

  15. Don't forget your insurance premiums. Even if you only save $15 on the front end, you'll save $$ in the long run. And do like hunting101 said and call the court clerk's office. They'll be able to tell you how much their school is. Statewide, the schools range anywhere from $40 to $250. Every jurisdiction is different.
  16. Nice lookin' dog!

    Leasing?

    She had a "prime"?
  18. I'll have to check with those manufacturers. The guy at the archery shop said to check with PSE because they have a new model that goes up to 32". I did, and they do. For over $650! I don't think I'll have any issue paying that much - after I've been in the sport for a while and decide it's for me. It's tough convincing momma that I need to spend that much money on a bow when I've never hunted with one and may not like it.
  19. How? Did you put in for time off?
  20. Yep. I stopped by a local store today just to find out I have a 32" draw. It's not enough that I've spent my entire life looking for shoes & boots in size 16 and pants with a 36" inseam, now I have to dig around for a bow with a longer draw than most manufacturers offer.
  21. I've been looking into this as well. From the suggestions I've seen, it's highly recommended that you go somewhere that you can shoot several models and select whatever feels best.
  22. I think you're on to something. As a traffic cop, I can tell you that along with the 6,000 other wrecks we have each year when a quarter of an inch of snow comes, there's always a wreck or two caused by drivers from the north (or other areas accustomed to a lot of snowfall). And they're usually blushing pretty hard.
  23. I'm with you. For years, I made fun of a couple of buddies for drinking it. Finally decided to give it a try a couple of years ago and was quite pleasantly surprised. Now it's my everyday beer.
  24. With MLGW? Do you have a studio apartment? I can't say for sure what mine would have been (I'm on the plan where they average out your costs for the year and you pay the same each month), but I know my folks said their last bill was almost $500. Something about the heat index being over 115 that helps that bill go up. And D3vo, what do you think of the TN heat? I work with a guy that moved up here from Miami a couple of years ago and he said he just thought he knew what heat was before moving.
