  1. Sent ya a PM earlier. Let me know if it didn't come through.
  2. Most parks are ok to carry in. There's more to the issue than I feel like typing out right now, but a quick search will reveal plenty of threads with a plethora of information. Some of the laws can be a little confusing at first, but don't let that stop you from getting your carry permit! Welcome to TGO and thank you for your service!
  3. Welcome, Crawlin! I assume you're talking about the range at Natchez Trace? What do you think of it? A few of us here on TGO have considered taking a trip up there to do some rifle shootin'.
  4. I'm kinda confused as to what you're asking as well. I assume you're gonna be loading 115gr bullets for 9mm and are wondering about how the OAL will affect them?? Unless you're going for pinpoint performance, you're not going to notice much of any difference between the different brands of 115gr bullets. My most common loads are 115gr FMJ and 125gr LRN. I load 'em all to 1.14" cartridge OAL (regardless of the brand) and am satisfied.
  5. Same here. Everytime I get a new brand of powder, I run it through the auto disk and make notes about how much powder comes out of each size hole. It's time-consuming, but when I need to use the auto disk, I know which size to go to on the auto disk. When I'm ready to start loading, I double check the first few throws to make sure they're what they are supposed to be and then randomly check the weight every 10 or so rounds just to make sure everything is going right.
  6. Welcome to TGO!
  7. I've always heard that ammonia will attack the copper in brass.
  8. Welcome!
  9. Welcome!
  10. Welcome!
  11. That'd be a very bad idea, indeed. Rifles use a slower powder than handguns & shotguns. So using one of the fastest powders out there (titewad) would not go over very well!
  12. PM'd ya, whiskey. I was at Bass Pro the other day and saw a pink compund bow. I can't wait 'til she's big enough for that one.
  13. Pretty much what I figured. Thankya gentlemen.
  14. I'm looking at getting a crossbow, mainly for when my daughter is old enough to go hunting with me. Do they come pretty much ready to shoot? When I bought my compound bow, I had to take it to a local archery shop and spend about $65 to get it setup. Since there aren't many (any?) adjustments to be made on a crossbow, would I be correct in assuming that they show up ready to go?
  15. I know of a couple of folks that have used Titewad for pistol, but I'm fairly certain that Hodgdon advises against it. It's a really fast powder. I'd rather stick with a slower powder like Clays, Unique, Bullseye, or Red Dot.
  16. Yeah, I've always been happy with S&B's stuff. I did not, however, know that they produced the Rangers.
  17. Welcome!
  18. I don't care if it's loaded by Abercrombie & Fitch, as long as it is a quality product.
  19. Yep, I carry 124gr. +P Ranger T-series in my 9's. If I could have found a better deal on +P 124gr Gold Dots, I would have used them just as quickly.
  20. Welcome!
