  1. Welcome!
  2. Welcome!
  3. That's good stuff. Sadly, I went to order some last night and noticed that they were sold out until the "expected date" of February 4th.
  4. Welcome to TGO!
  5. Yes. When developing a new load, I make batches of 10 rounds of each load, starting with the manuals' listed minimum load, moving up incrementally a couple tenths of a grain per batch. Since I just plink with my reloads, I just stick with the smallest load that cycles my gun and performs properly. I love using plated bullets like Berrys. They're usually loaded somewhere between lead and FMJ. I usually start at about midway between the min and max listed recipe for the same size/weight bullet in lead and work up from there (if necessary). Just your standard pressure issues. Nothing else comes to mind for me. Of course, I've always reloaded for semis, so I very well could be missing something. Just be safe and have fun!
  6. Welcome!
  7. It's my understanding that they will. They call it a "pistol range", but somebody not long ago (I think it was Punisher84) called up there and asked and they said high power rifles are ok. I've been wanting to get up there sooner or later.
  8. WHOA! You can't go grouping a pistol that nice in with "socks"!!! What's wrong with you, man?! Awesome gift you got, though. I'm jealous!
  9. Well I'll be going in Friday morning at 0630 and won't be getting off until 0200 on Saturday. They've got us on a saturation looking for drunk drivers. And this ain't just my department folks, it's statewide thanks to the Governor's Highway Safety Office. Please don't drink and drive! It ruins lives. The worst outcome aside (killing / hurting yourself or someone else), the average cost of a DUI conviction is anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000*. That's a lot of guns and ammo folks! Please don't do it and suggest the same to your friends! *Before someone starts throwing a fit and quoting fines - that number includes everything from attorneys fees and fines to increased insurance rates and most everything in between.
  10. Most Lee stuff is great, but it seems that their 1000's are kinda hit or miss. Some folks get one that works great, other folks get one riddled with issues. Hopefully you got one of the good ones (sounds like you might have). I've used a lot of different powders, but never Titegroup with 9mm. I'll get around to trying that one some day. Best of luck and have (safe) fun!

  13. Oh boy. A Glock, a shotty, an AR, and a fellow reloader? You had me thinking you were a pretty cool guy. Then I read the line that suggested association with Punny, so I guess it could go either way. Welcome to TGO!
  14. Welcome!

  19. Nice!
  20. Didn't get a whole lot of material stuff. Couple of decent gift cards. But I got some good time with the family, some good eatin' and got to spread some cheer to the wife and kid. Doesn't get much better! Oh, and I got a good bit of back pain working on Santa's gift until about 2am. Apparently, "Some Assembly Required" is some kind of marketing term that really means "here's a pine tree and some ******* screws".
  21. Welcome to TGO, Timothy!
  22. Welcome!
  23. Welcome to TGO!
  24. Got mine. Whoo hoo! They haven't said anything about the NRA sticker I put on my squad car, but I definitely think it'd be pushing it if I tried to sneak one of these on it. But one will definitely be going onto the metal ticket book holder. And on my truck, of course.
