  1. Welcome!
  2. Done. Guys and gals, St. Jude is a great place doing great things! No matter how you go about donating, please keep St. Jude in mind when choosing charities to donate to. I've been there a few times and seeing the children breaks my heart, but the staff, volunteers, and families there renew my faith in mankind.
  3. Just a matter of time, I'm sure!
  4. I generally skim the intro threads for first name, occupation, etc.
  5. That's funny. I didn't even think about that!
  6. Yep, and they go easier on your wallet.
  7. Welcome to TGO!
  8. I've never received a phone call, either. I just got a life membership. Wonder how long it'll be before I get my first renewal reminder in the mail?
  9. Welcome to TGO!
  10. I believe they're talking about haircuts, David.

    question?

Well, that's a little different. Supply and demand. The supply of legal (registered) full auto parts for us citizens is very limited and therefor demands a premium price. In non-restricted areas, such as law enforcement agencies, the $500 rifle turns into a $550 rifle.
  12. Welcome!
  13. Touché, David... touché.
  14. No, but it does make you another 4 letter "s" word. Hint: Also includes the letters "l", "u", and "t".
  15. Welcome to TGO!
  16. I've owned a 1911 that was well over a grand in the case that couldn't feed an entire mag of anything. Many years back, I (hesitantly) took a S&W Sigma as a partial trade. Cheap piece of crap, right? I never ended up carrying it, but I took the thing to the range a few times and ran over 1,000 rounds through it without a single hiccup. I've had a couple of "plastic" Taurus handguns that performed just as well. Maybe I do have a little bit of snobbery since I rarely carry the cheap guns, but I don't see someone as "special" because they spent thousands on a gun. Definitely not special enough to turn up their nose.
  17. Mechanic made some good points here, but also keep in mind that when you find what you like, you can order in bulk and save even more. For example, I get my 230gr FMJ bullets from Precision Delta for $119 per 1,000 shipped - which comes out to $11.90 per 100. Using the brass I already have accumulated, I have about $15.50 per hundred in my reloads. Pretty good when that's a little less than I'd pay for a box of just 50 rounds of factory ammo.
  18. Is that another gun show deal? If not, where do you find 'em at that price?
  19. I'm missing something. How would you be able to mix them into a box of ammo with no primer and it not be obvious? I could help you with the 9 & 45, but I think Dolomite will have you covered there. If he can't for some reason, holler at me and I will.
  20. That looks great.
  21. I'm disappointed. Wanted to see the pumpkin take a hit. Nice vid for your first attempt.
  22. Welcome
  23. Welcome!
