After trying a bunch of crappy 123's, a lot of guys on the department I work for have been buying these: CR123A Batteries CR123 Batteries CR123A Battery CR123 Battery They seem to like them. They say they last a little bit longer than surefire batteries. I haven't used any, but they do offer discounts for LE / Military. There are a lot of them out there that are pure junk. I've had some bad experiences with crappy "blank label" batteries.

My experience is similar to OS's. I rarely see a deal on it that's too good to pass up. But the few hundred or so rounds of it that I have shot have been flawless.

I've done a bit of reloading with Berrys 185gr FP and like the bullets. When I placed my last order for some bullets, I accidentally bought some 185gr hollow base round nose .45 bullets. With the long hollow base in these things and a longer OAL, I'm not sure how I should treat 'em. I've been doing good (with the FP bullets) with 6.2gr of Universal. I assume the OAL of these rounds should be 1.25"(?) Anybody load with these bullets? If so, what kinda recipe do you use? I have Unique, 800-X, and Universal Clays powder. Thanks!

I'm afraid to play any of the Halo games. My wife complains about how much time I spend in front of the PC now. Could only imagine how bad it would be if I threw video games in the mix!

Glad that you're making progress with her. My wife is a recovering liberal too The Thunder is a fine little pistol. The wife shot one a while back (before she got her HCP) and liked it. We went to Classic Arms in Cordova and all they had was the Bersa Thunder "Plus" which is the high-cap version. It has a double stack mag and looks a little funny, but still has the same PPK-clone look. That gun was terrible. It never fed right. I was able to tell that the problem was coming from the mag. I tried several things with the mag, even tried buying another mag from Bersa (at $40!) and it still wouldn't feed right. I ended up selling it to a friend at a very reasonable price (he knew about the issues). But I've never had a problem with any of the single stack Thunders and everyone I know that has one loves it.

It wouldn't matter what TN thinks. Your official title can be "Georgia Hot Dog Inspector", as long as you meet the requirements of LEOSA. I am not sure about probation officers here. I think some of them around here have a special deputy commission and carry under a written directive from the CLEO. I'm not sure if the Sheriff allows carry off-duty. Another example of this is the FedEx security at the hub here in Memphis. They all have special deputy commissions, but on the back of their commission card it states "Valid during duty hours only".

Yeah. My little house (built in the early 50's) was NOT made for potato attacks. We pretty much have to use the hallway unless we stand straight up in the only closet with a little space. Something about standing straight up that doesn't sit well with me. I really need to look into an underground shelter.
