  1. Interesting read. Thanks Volzfan.
  2. Very well said. In the event you had an encounter with an LEO, there are so many ways it could go. Regardless, I don't think you'd ultimately end up dealing with any charges or anything, but it could become quite the hassle. I've never encountered anyone with an NFA weapon on-duty, but if somehow I did, I know I'd expect to see "ze papers".
  3. The Walmart in Cordova (part of Memphis) remodeled a little while ago. They took the ammo from behind the counter and put it in a lockable stand alone display nearby. Like Bubba0031 said, there may still be hope.
  4. Welcome!
  5. Welcome to TGO!
  6. Welcome to TGO!!

  8. The box has got 12 items in it at the moment. I'd say just send it to whoever wants it. I don't see any point in paying for postage to allow it to catch up to the box unless HvyMtl wants it.
  9. Nevermind on the shipping. Just looked at your website and realized that I can buy online, so of course you'll ship. Will the sale extend to the website or will it be in-store only?
  10. It's nearly a 5 hour drive according to MapQuest. Doubt I'll make it. But from all the good reviews I've seen, you might be right.
  11. Here's the video for anyone too lazy to click a link
  12. Wow. That's ridiculous.
  13. Welcome to TGO!
  14. I'm thinking about adding a knife to my hidden work arsenal. I have a couple of ideas floating around in my head. Anyone ever mounted a knife on concealed body armor? If so, what kind of knife and how did you choose to do it?
  15. Oh, and one of the posts in the other thread referenced a quote from the RWS website basically saying it's manufactured by Fiocchi. Good stuff.
  16. I don't think you'll be disappointed, Bubbatn. It should go bang and put a hole in a piece of paper for you.
  17. Walmart in Bartlett on Hwy 64 had dang near every caliber in stock except 45 and 380 (yesterday morning). EDIT (5/16/2010) - Went there again this evening and it was the same. Had a fair amount of the Federal .40 for $12.97. None of the Federal 9mm under $10.
  18. I asked about it a while back. Seems the overall concensus was that it was good ammo. When they first started stocking it, it was a lot more expensive than it is now. Check out the other thread: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/ammunition-reloading/36476-new-brand-9mm-walmart.html
  19. Whoo hoo!!! You'll be doing the wally world walk in no time!
  20. +1 Was it just me or did anyone else notice an additional infringement on our rights from say, oh 1994 to 2004? The "assault weapon ban" that did absolutely nothing to curb crime, but inconvenienced responsible gun owners. Some of the stupid terms help lead the ignorant to predjudices and support for dumb laws that do nothing more than help anti-gun folks sleep a little better at night.
  21. I guess no link. Too bad. I woulda liked to have seen that.
  22. I was about to do some cleaning, so I decided to check. I've never taken the time to compare them since the only reason I bought my LWD barrel was to shoot lead. I cannot speak for other models / generations, but the barrel on the right is my 3rd generation G19 barrel. The one on the left is the LWD G19 barrel. Not even a millimeter of difference. But if I recall correctly, the .40 cal models were the ones with the least chamber support. Maybe someone else can chime in on this. FWIW, the chamber seemed tighter on the LWD barrel when I tried to move the round around in the barrels.
  23. You crack me up, Sgt. Joe...
  24. Yep. That's why I wish we could hurry up and give Kalifornia away before they ruin the rest of us!!
  25. Just don't put the baby in the safe...
