1. [i]Yeah I have, its been abusy weekend. I took out 2 twisted Maples for a friend. Actualy wore the knife for a while and used it to trim some small branches as I headed to the top to do some trimming. The knife is Awesome, I do not have any picks while I was working, but we all retired to our fire pit at the end of the day and needed some kindling. I hope these movies work. Most of the wood Im splitting is 2-3'' cherrie and it worked very well. A friend want me to try it out on a golf ball. Not a problem, it did not cut all the way thru but I was holding back incase i missed and had to chase to ball around the yard. I love the feel and use of this blade. And hope to purchase one soon. 2. Just received the Knife today, WOW, this blade is huge the pics do not do it justice. Very Beefy yet well balanced. This takes me back to my child hood time when I would go with my Grand Paw to the Amish Black Smith. Very unique and would definitely make a great survival knife. I will be testing it out this weekend with some chores I have planned. Can’t Wait.

5. I have come back and looked at this knife a dozen times. So of the nicest work I seen. Gotta Love that wood
6. no, its just something I came up with one day while trying to secure my pistol where the Grand Babies cant get to it but I can. I made a box out of 3/8'' oak with dividers. put a lid on it with a finger hole that has a latch in side, kinda like a car hood. Socks on top, unless you dig you will never know its there

8. There is several ways to do what you want. If a knife block is preferred it is done by cutting out the area for the blade the laminating them together with blocks in between. Another way is making a false bottom to a drawer and having them in groves cut at an angle so they lay almost flat. This is how i have mine along with my bedside S&W. If you want some help with this PM me and we can talk Bill
9. Awesome Thanks. I look forward to seeing your work

22 Long Rifle Ammo

WOW, i need another cup of coffee and read that again.
11. I would have to second that!
12. I have built 2 10/22's and as BroomHead stated they are very easy to do. I like the Green Mountian Barrels. They have a wide selection and you can get a varmint barrel for under $100 all the way up to the S.S. Fluted. Super nice people to deal with. I also found that Boyds Stocks have the best fitting stocks, but I always use the thumb hole laminated. These are alot of fun and very accurate. We are hitting empty shot shell casing at 100yrds usin g CCI ammo. Go Luck
13. Thanks Greg.....hey theres another...LOL

22. I am planning my next toy. With the help of a good friend i am planning on building a 1911. This is something i have been wanting to do for a long time. I use to own a Colt series 70 38 super with a 5" slide and I loved that gun but it disappeared during my divorce. So tell me your thoughts, i am hoping to use it for IDPA type shooting.
23. WOW Broylz loaded you up with info.I will agree with the Savage line and going with a model 10. Remington makes a great gun but why spend 2-300$ more when you can have the same thing with Savage. After market parts are available to make it what you want it. I would also go with a 243cal or 22-250. Here is a Pick of my Savage I just finished http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/47314-finally-got-it-together/
24. Been working as I can afford it on my latest toy. I am very satisfied with the way it turned out and if it shoots half as good as it looks I will be very happy Its a model 10 savage action 243 cal with a Green Mountain barrel 1/9 twist molley coated 90/11 degree f-class crown sitting all flat black cerakote sitting in a Bell and Carlson tactical stock optics= Osprey 10-40x50 tactical scope with range finder Has a Harris bi-pod to hold it up Notice the bolt, Custom bolt handle by; Gordon Cant wait to get it to the range
