  1. Alright now bear with me as I do most of my shooting at my house but sometimes go to the forest service range in Polk county, but why exactly are these ranges so strict? I understand and approve of all safety rules but what's a suppressor hurt? I've heard of crazy rules from several ranges such as no taking home your spent brass or no more than three shots every five seconds. I stick to free ranges or my house.
  2. I recently got a security protection rouge, its an odd one for sure, I can't get into safe mode anymore.
  3. Ohhh I though you were talking about that other thing people go on about. At any rate although nasa has discovered it they say when its closest to earth on Oct 16 it will still be 20000 miles from earth and it will have as much effect on the tides as a subcompact car, this comes from the astronomers at nasa, no alignment of the planets will change its trajectory nor will it be able to eclipse the sun (its only 2 miles wide lmao). Either way thanks for the heads up.
  4. Search nibiru or planet x for better results, according to astronomers, an object that close to earth would be visable to the naked eye and would have a gravitational effect on the planets, furthermore that's not how physics works. Even Carl Sagan dispelled this as myth and all aspects of it physically impossible, and I hate to attack someones character but the woman who started all this claims an alien race by the name of the zetas told her about it and she has moved the doomsday event date twice now. Its just more 2012 idiots, personally I don't believe in that and in my opinion the fact that the callender ends in december 2012 in no way means the world will end, maybe they just said "hey guys we have gone really far on the callender, lets lay off it for a few decades." I mean hell it had to end at some point.
  5. I will be converting a saiga soon and I am lost on stocks as well.

    Beware of hot ammo

I can't explain it but when I fire tula through my witness ps40 it feels a little rough, I love federal .40 but I can't afford to plink with that so I will stick with tula for now. It is dirty and louder with more recoil than other rounds and its steel cased.
  7. Yeah OZ said it! It has to be true! I've been drinking apple juice all my life and feel great about it, we all **** a brick about something like this while choking back a mountain dew. I would bet we eat and drink a lot of unhealthy things with trace amounts of poison in them and a car wreck will kill most of us some day.
  8. As ridiculous as that is I have heard some even more ridiculous arguments against obama, im against most of what he's done but if your gonna talk smack about him at least be creditable and don't just regurgitate what you heard.
  9. On the subject of cleveland gun stores what happened to DG Ordinance? Used to go there to get my 7.62x54 and the guy who owns it was very nice, let me look at any gun even though I wasn't buying, liked to shoot the **** with anyone even if they were just looking, hell one day I saw him at the range and he gave me some 7.62x54 on the house. In my opinion it was the best one in cleveland.
  10. Hey I live in cleveland and have never heard of em
  11. Thanks for the info guys and that's a real nice rifle jon. I want to do the conversion myself to get familiar with the ak and for the experience, and not to mention its a much more cost friendly route. My reason for not wanting an ar yet is cost, when I do build one it will be build right but right now I can't afford to do that
  12. What do mags cost for the .223/5.56? I've seen where people make conversions so they can take the old steel AR mags.
  13. Been thinking about getting a saiga in .223 and adding a pistol grip, it would be my first military style rifle and I figured its a fun, simple place to start before I move to building my own ar. Who here owns a saiga rifle? Lets see pictures and reviews.
  14. I go everywhere without a gun, I live in the ghetto, it sucks being 19.

    ISSC M22

Gsg had a 1911 style .22 with a fake can on it, pretty neat maybe you can find one. As for picky I have learned every .22 is gonna have a favorite brand, one p22 may be different then an other so the best thing to do is buy 50 rounds if each and hit the range, I've not got a .22 that won't shoot federal bulk so that may be a place to start.
  16. Coming in late in the thread and haven't read every post but I would like to clarify one thing, when I worked at walmart I was told we were not allowed to confront shoplifters or chase them down for fear of injury not to the thief but to employes and shoppers, I can't blame walmart for this policy I mean I know we all want to tackle a thief to the ground but what if he say pulls a knife? Most people carry a knife and though he may not have considered using it when he was simply stealing in secret he may consider using it when he's tackled to the ground and the adrenalin starts flowing. I know several of our shoplifters had knives when they were caught, not a big 8 inch buck but a pocket knife like most people carry, one guy was legally conceal carrying a handgun but he never drew it when caught and laid it down and backed away when he knew he was caught. My point is this, though when I worked there I hated seeing people steal I would never have chased them down, I've been stabbed before and saving a big store like walmart a hundred bucks is not worth it and I don't think I could live with myself if I got someone else hurt while I tried to be a hero, so at the end of the day it comes down to this, that womans purse is not something I will risk my life for, one last thing, my manager once told me he would love to beat the crap out of a shop lifter or thief out in the parking lot but he knows he will loose his job.
  17. Only the idiotic people want that, and this thread is proof enough that the United States is coming out of its long idiotic coma, the recession helped that along greatly. Paul has a chance and im spreading the word every day, he's the best man for the job.
  18. Not sure if this has been posted yet but I found it funny, buying votes is always popular isn't it? http://www.unelected.org/how-michele-bachmann-bought-the-ames-straw-poll#.TkhVh4aRDdD.facebook
  19. Walk out, smile, and say "how ya doin", that's what I do to suspicious people around my car/house.
  20. I'm not trying to spread some islam hate message but we all remember how that one guy drew a picture of mohamed and it offended some muslims who decided to kill him for it, I admit this is on a much smaller scale but its got the same ideas behind it, preventing others from expressing their views in public whether by word, shirt, sign, or bumper sticker is killing freedom of speech and you are no better than the anti gun folks who try to kill our second amendment. To the argument someone presented about not wanting their children exposed to cursing or other things you may find offensive in public the answer is simple, don't take your kids into the public, besides if your a good parent you can teach them right from wrong and you won't have to shield them from obscenity.
  21. Alright listen, you have the right to be offended however, you do not have the right to stop others from offending you. That's simple to me
  22. I buy the best my money will allow, when america brings something to the table worth buying at a fair price I buy it, but that's not very often and that's the sad truth.
  23. Idk my mosin can chamber spent rounds just fine, I think that thing needs a drill and brass brush all over it
